Oresta is the Port City of Lasterus.
This is a high tourist attraction for its beautiful architecture, its wonderful beaches, and its many exotic places to visit. Due to this city being a trading spot, many cultures have combined here in small sections. The docks contain boats that take you on cruises or traveler boats to another nation.

=)>]Randl Arancion(= - Mischievous Little Monk - A fair-sized passenger boat made it's way into Oresta's port, a distinct bell signifying it's arrival for the port staff, who had started the unpacking and merging with the port so the passengers could pick up their things and set foot on land. Several port hands began tying nooses around the railings of the side, and the front, and in due time a few moments later, would they finish. The passengers in the boat began to shuffle around and move toward the exit and onto port. "Good. At least they'll stop staring," a distinct, strong female voice sounded in the corner, where herself and one other passenger had been asleep on the floor. "Hey, shrimp, they're moving!", she stepped on the other's face. "Get uuuuup!! First a little seasickness and now you're sleeping when we finally get here.. So much for being able to handle the two day ride.." She gently slapped her hand to her forehead and applied more pressure to her foot, the passenger she was picking on rolled over and slid her foot off. Still asleep. The taller lady kicked the other member of her party into the wall of the boat suddenly. "Is an a** kicking the only thing that ever motivates you! You can waste my jooles, but wasting my time is another thing, kid!!" she screamed, as the sounds of one bludgeoning another started to rise, the port security began to make their way into the boat to ensure the passenger s''s safety.

"One-thousand, four-hundred and ninety-eight... One-thousand, four-hundred and ninety-nine... One-thousand, five hundred." Ayaka counted joole coins grumpily as she handed them to an official as a fine for spontaneous acts of violence against a child.
"Well! There you go, a thousand five hundr--"
"That's for the violence charge, you still owe us two thousand more for doing the act against a child." said the official, as he swished his thick mustache side to side and knitted his brow at her.
"But he's thirteen! In Lumeria, that's--"
"Ma'am, that might be where you're from, but this is Lasterus, we have child protection laws here. I promise that if you can pay the fine here and now, we can all act like this never happened." he dropped the coins in a pouch on his waist and then held out his hand once again.
Ayaka reached into her pouch again, swishing her tail and drooping her ears annoyingly "We're gonna be here awhile--I only use my bills for important things." she said in an even moodier tone.
"Five... Ten... Fifteen..." the sound of another officer's voice speaking to the victim sounded out the counting for the boy, who had small swollen places on his face at the moment, and visible bruises even through his white fur.
"So, how do you feel about what just happened, son?" the man asked him.
The young boy drooped his ears a little and blinked as if he had barely woken up. "I didn't sleep good cause of the waves and the hard floor last night, so I think I got what I deserved." he was able to put on a big smile after that.
"After all! I'm used to getting it from her."
The officer looked shocked and took a second to gather his thoughts for another question. "Son, who is this woman?"
"Her?" he asked, pointing toward Ayaka. "That's my mama! Right mom?"
Ayaka had been about a quarter way done counting jooles for the fine.
"Five-hundred and five.. Five-hundred and ten.. I'll beat you for this.. Five-hundred and twenty.." she just kept on counting.
The officer scratched his head, and instead of saying anything further, turned and waited for Ayaka to finish paying her fine in the lowest two amounts of joole coins.

"I wish I could tell you how easy my life was, but then I'd be making up a fairytale...
Poverty, orphanage after orphanage, loneliness. I was sick of it all. To not know who my real parents were, to know my sister is not here because of some freak incident that caused her to flee... I couldn't take it anymore.
I was sent to my first orphanage when I was five years of age. Being taken care of my grannies who were too grouchy to even handle, I loathed the grey, dark building. I was also neglected by the other kids for having yellow, cat-like eyes. So what if I'm not normal? Doesn't mean you can friggin' pick on me! I was slightly relieved when I was sent to the second orphanage at the age of nine. At least they had a TV there and toys to play with, though the kids didn't share with me for the same damn reason.
My eyes...
What's with these cursed eyes?
Why does it make me different?
Realizing that I belonged nowhere, I decided to say 'screw this' and I busted out of that joint at age thirteen. Police were after me, I wasn't going back to that Hellhole, never in a million years! I needed to know where I came from, why do I have these eyes... and to survive... to have a home...
I saw a ferry leaving Kyento, and I decided to take my chance. Not having any money for the ferry, I jumped and grabbed the side of the boat. I stuck my tongue out as the police saw me get away. Not too long did I climb into the boat... and begin my destiny...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ .::Niya Inafune::. The girl with the radiant eyes... When the boat had arrived in Oresta, she hugged the bottom of the boat as she heard the man announce their stop. Her fingers suctioning against the damp bottom of the boat. She had to jump off and jump on back and forth, using her agility to keep herself hidden from her exposure of boarding the boat for free. She had climbed the bricks that the docks were founded on, and climbed to the stone road. Coughing some water, she was covered in rags, that had holes and patches. She was barefoot, as her black hair covered her eyes. She wiped them, revealing her topaz colored eyes, with the thin slits. She had witnessed as a human-like cat woman putting physical force on her child, and turned around, walking as she left damp footprints. "Now to find out where to go." She said.

Within another half-hour the two were waiting for the next train to arrive at the station, and there was still quite a wait. Many of the passengers from the boat were here, occasionally looking back at Ayaka even more so, since the scene she had made earlier.
The sounds of Rand'ls chewing was heard, and naturally grabbed Ayaka's attention.
"Randl, where did you get that box?" she asked, pointing at the box of cookies in his hands.
"A lady from the boat gave em to me. She called me a 'poor little thing,' though. Why do you think she said that, mom?"
"Son, I'm not sure who should be more offended right now; me or you." she said, sitting cross-legged, and waited for the train to pull up.

The dripping wet girl walked up to see a crowd of people lining up for the train. She knew if she tried to sneak on the train the same way she did the boat, she'd probably get killed. She tapped her bare foot, the dampness of her wet skin slapping the road, thinking of a strategy. "This train'll go to Rubeus? I may be able to find my answer there since it's a huge city, I've heard."

A train arrived, though it wasn't headed for the same area as they had intended to go.
"It's here! Let's go!" Randl said, as he was about to run onto the wrong train, Ayaka grabbed a firm hold of the back oh his neck decoration, Randl still continued to try and run on the train--Though in place.
"That's not the right one--Damn, those cookies made you hyper. How many did you..?" Ayaka stated as she turned toward an empty box on the ground with a few crumbs spilling out.
"You ate all of them! I wanted some, you pig.." she said dejectedly and continued to wait for the correct train.

It was time the train arrived to Rubeus. Randl looked up to Ayaka waiting to see if it was the right train, and after a short nod of approval, he ran onto it and into the nearest convenient corner--Since he was still weirded out by all the pink, furless creatures.
"Hey, mom. What're we gonna be doing here again, where we're going?" Randl asked her, as she took a seat beside him and setting their things down in the floor.

Niya decided to do what she felt was necessary to sneak on the train. In the train, there was a large brown luggage bag, with the zipper slightly opened for air. Niya was snug inside the large bag, and due to her skinny body, she was able to fit inside. She looked around, chuckling a bit. "Nice going Niya you genius." She muttered softly, the black hair covering one eye as she watched outside, proud of her stealthy plan, and hid inside whenever someone looked, to avoid getting caught. She had wondered how long it would take for the train to arrive at Rubeus.

Ayaka turned and slowly sneered toward Randl as she had answered him.
"I'm gonna have you meet a friend of mine, and see if I can crush that little motivation of yours, kid. He runs a martial academy and he told me last that the fail rate was fairly high."
Randl's eyes lit up a bit upon hearing that.
"A martial academy? You mean like the temple back at home? You know I'm giving those seventeen year-olds back a home a hard time, mom!" Randl shuffled around in his seat a bit and kicked one of Ayaka's bags over to the side a bit. It was the big, heavy one.
"I really hope Agev's students aren't wimps, I want you to go back to normaaal. Then I won't have to beat you up all the time." As soon as she finished that sentence, she could feel countless sets of eyes make their path of vision in her direction.
"What!? Don't you people punish your kids, too!?" she stood and raised her voice, most of the eyes looking back forward nervously.
