 This is the largest city on the face of the planet, and it still is... In a manner of speaking. All the buildings remain, if in increasing amounts of disrepair, but there are no people here. The streets are empty, the once-bustling markets desolate and falling apart. But the city is not dead. Many of the buildings were automated before the people disappeared, and those machines are somehow still functioning, carrying out their duties even as the days drag on. At least there's some solace in knowing that you can still get a drink at the local bar, that is if you can stomach the damaged buildings.

Kurai climbed down from the wolf, breathing heavily even though she hadn't been the one running. She felt better now, though. This place was safe. Well, saf-er at least, and familiar territory brought back her usual sense of control and detachment. Most of the ingredients she would need to recover could be found here and those that couldn't weren't important as long as she didn't try anything too flashy.
"Well, alright," Kurai said, "Step one done. What we need to do now is plan. I have my own goals in mind and I'm sure the rest of you do as well. There's safety in numbers, in a way at least, so we need to come up with some way we can all still travel together whatever we're going to do." She looked between each of her three remaining companions. Where had the others gone? She had been so caught up in the battle in the forest that she hadn't noticed anything else. Had they not run as well? had they gotten lost, or worse... But there was nothing they could do, Kurai decided, and she didn't fancy heading back into the lion's den now that they were finally out. Best not bring it up. That would be easiest.

Kabibona'kan shook his massive wolf head.
"I honestly have'nt a clue what the hell I'm doing here, or supposed to be doing... I already purified the forest... Well that'll take a hundred years or so, but it'll be done when it's done!"
Nex tapped a black claw on his chin as his eyes scanned the empty city.
Kabi expected an answer.. But after seeing a growing smile appear on his brother's face he only chuckled. Which sounded sorta creepy, from being so deep in his wolf form...
"I see you're enjoying this, Brother?"
After a moment Nex turned around to the three with a big smile on his face, like it was hard for him to contain his glee.
"Oh yes! Just look at it, not a soul around!"
He then promptly turned back to 'frolic' down the barren road...
Kabi chuckled again looked to Kurai.
"Before he gets too far, where should we go first?"
He looked back out to Nex, then sniffed the air.
"Chances are they'll be monsters around... Probably already hunting us, to tell the truth, so stay close."
Apparently that didn't apply to Nex... But then again Nex could handle himself, more-so because everyone was in running distance.

"There's a hotel near the east side of the city, so somewhere nearby. It should be pretty easy to tell apart since it's about the least destroyed of all the buildings around here. Of course, that's not saying much," Kurai gave a cold laugh and took a few steps down the street, "we can rest there if we need to, but I need to gather resources. The hotel wouldn't be a bad place to start, though..."

Celia only watched in awe at all the damage around her. A breeze blew through, debris blowing past her ankles. Silver strands twist and turn between her dainty, pale fingers as she contemplates. Suddenly, her eyes flash red for a second only to return to their original color.
"He's right....they're not too far either from what my body is saying. Shelter would be best."
Her fingers run unconsciously through Kabi's fur, the other still touching her own strands.
"Lead the way."
She smiles softly.

(( Wow, like 10 days! Sorry guys, been real busy trying to get in a bunch more hours while packing for a camping trip. We've really procrastinated... So there's still a lot to do.. And we go for a week on the 16th. //_x Then school 26th... ))
Kabibona'kan nodded and trotted down the street after his brother, who surprisingly enough, actually knew where he was going. That was a part of Nex though, he looked like a complete lunatic, but he knew what was going on... One might go so far and say he was valiantly acting as bait so whatever monsters would strike him first... But that's probably taking it too far.
Nex pointed to a clean building a few blocks down. Clean being a relative term, of course.
"There it is! I wonder if my blood is still on the wall!"
When Nex had turned to call out to his companions, a humanoid monster decided to take advantage and came up behind the unknowing prey.
Unknowing his a**! Right when it was just about to swipe Nex surprised it! He dropped down and shot back with his a hand over a fist to add more power to his elbow, which he shot into what would appear to be it's ribcage. To continue the momentum Nex spun 360 while bringing his arms up, fist still clenched in his hand... His body seemed to freeze for a single moment, his hair even stayed spiraled around him... Until in the next moment his fists where in the monster's back. Even with it's spine and ribs broken, the top half still struggled.. So Nex brought up his metal boot and sent it down in a mighty curb stomp. To continue the badass-ery, Nex quoted,
"It's time to kickass and chew bubblegum, and I'm all outta gum..."
As he his eyes slid around, looking for any more would-be attackers.
Kabi laughed at Nex, but his ears stayed perked should any thing come close to them.
"Although being crazy doesn't help much socially, it sure does own in combat..."
He looked to Kurai and Celia before continuing his trot.
Nex still kept ahead, but stopped a little ways in front of the hotel. When Kabi and the other came up he looked to his brother.
"I guess that helped keep the smaller ones off us for now... You all get inside before the bigger one's show."
Kabi nodded. As he walked up to the door he shifted back into his humanoid form and opened it slowly... His wolf ears were perked and his eyes wide. The hunter didn't make a sound as he stepped inside and began to look around, sniffing the air. He kept his aura to himself, since he would normally use that to help his already super senses, but decided not to.

Kurai laughed at Nex's comment about his blood, then jumped. She hadn't been expecting to be attacked even here. As bidden, she headed twoards the hotel, keeping a careful eye behind them.
"Why are there monsters here?" she wondered out loud, "They weren't here before. And isn't this where they brought the prisoners? So then, are they all dead?" She said it as a matter of detached curiosity, not as if it was some horrible idea. After all, death was a perfectly natural thing.
"Well, better make sure we aren't next, then." She laid her hand on the doorknob, but quickly pulled it back giving a small yelp of surprise and pain.
"It bit me!" she shouted in disbelief, "I mean, shocked me, but still."

The sudden attack had been all but predictable, Celia's eyes having emitted a blood red glow before Nex's unsurprised attack. She only waited patiently, trusting in Nex's strength, though her fingers did twirl themselves in Kabi's fur, she was unmoving, her breath being released after her eyes returned to their luminescent silver state. She smiles her relief.
"Nex seems to be having all the fun I would say..."
She giggles to herself, the sound like soft bells as the building is pointed out to them. She follows behind Kurai, her words making goosebumps appear on her skin despite her calm facade. At Kurai's surprise, Celia furrows her eyebrows with worry.
"Are you alright?"

Got back from camping, then had to give the borrowed laptop back...

"I'm fine," Kurai stated blandly, sucking at the beading blood on one of her fingers, "I just wasn't expecting that."
To try and recover some face, she put her hand forward again, gripping the doorknob tightly. She turned it only a tiny bit before yanking her hand back again with a second yelp of shock.
"Stupid," a string of obscenities, "door!"

Kabibona'kan laughed softly, sounding very deep in the wolf form.
"Shock therapy..."
Nex grinned and knelt in front of the door.
"Never worked on me! It was more like giving me a snack for good efforts..."
As he spoke he waved a hand over the keycard entry a few times. Then he positioned his fingers together so his claws were flush and little coils of Soul Energy formed around them. After a couple swipes trying different magnetic codes to hack it, it eventually accepted one and unlocked. He nodded with a smile, then looked to Kurai.
"I should say 'ladies first', but I think chivalry is just politer way to put sexism... Haha, unless you WANT to go first."

Celia only waited patiently behind all of them, her eyes turning red just to return till their silver hue and repeat the process. She frowns.
"I think I'll go second....as long as we get somewhere safe, my body is not reacting well to our surroundings at this moment."
She sighs, her eyes like a blinking light, fading from one color to the next with no intervals.
"I have no idea what's out there but it seems to be debating on us as well."

"Fine," Kurai spat, "I'll go in last, then."
It was bad enough she hadn't been able to open a simple door, now she just felt humiliated, but if there was something inside, and in this city she wouldn't be surprised, then she would feel much safer if Nex went in first.
((I changed my username, by the way. I felt I needed to for personal reasons. Of course, Lenoria no longer bears my name, but I'm not gonna change it to Aryuia or something. XD
Although probably makes me a lot less arrogant if the world isn't named after me. It was all Hikaru's idea in the first place! >_< ))

Nex was about to try and make a supportive comment on Kurai's attitude, but he wasn't that great with helping people... And it was probably best they went inside ASAP. So he pulled out one of his wakizashis and it shortened and thickened a little into a tanto. He got into a CQC stance, which one could tell he wasn't that comfortable in, and went against the door.
Kabibona'kan had shifted back to his humanoid form and forged a longbow of ice-laden wood. He slid up, his back against the door behind Nex, and nodded.
Nex slowly opened the door with one hand and crept in.
