heart Suicide Spicy Taco Ranger heart says...

The year: 2012
The subject: Depending on how you look at it... the end of the world?

There is a great deal of controversy and observation worldwide in regards to 2012. This marks yet another year where doomsayers take it upon themselves to warn us about the end of days. Well, good news is I'm here to clear up some of these issues, should you be giving them any consideration.

First and foremost, perhaps at the very heart of this scare is the end of the Mayan long-count calendar and Nibiru (AKA: PLanet X) Yes, the two are allegedly related.

So what's the big deal? That was my first question in regards to this entire theory. Well, apparently, because the Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012, some have speculated, that the world too will end, claiming that the calendar is prophetic in its very nature. Here is where we have to be smart and consider how much we're buying into what we're being told by doomsayers, and how much of what we're being told is actually science.

Fact: The Mayan calendar ends in 2012.
Fact: Our calendar ends on December 31, this year!
Funny thing. It does that every year and it doesn't mean anything is going to happen.

I hereby award... no cookie.

The predictions surrounding the Maya, their calendar, and what we're being told today, are carefully instrumented and conveyed in such a manner as to scare people into believing they are somehow true. These type of scare tactics were employed not so long ago during the whole Y2K frenzy of 2000. Typically, they take one or two irrefutable facts (things that can be proven true) and then they add a whole bunch of their own twists and glamour to sell you a fictional story that is all their own.

The Maya have writings about a Nibiru, which if you research is the name of an ancient god, and the only planet it is actually associated to is the planet Jupiter. Therefor Nibiru cannot = Planet X, because Planet X = an un-named, unkown planetoid type of mass yet to be labeled or identified is merely a classification used by NASA until they know what they are dealing with. Pluto was once called Planet X for example, until they gave it a name. Think of Planet X as the John Doe of the cosmos. Not to mention Nibiru (AKA: Jupiter in this case) is already identified and poses no threat whatsoever to the planet Earth.

They say increases in bad weather and natural disasters will foretell the coming of the end. Well for one we've always had our fair share of bad weather and natural disasters. Two, people looking to make a scare that are aware of the solar maximum/minimum taking place in relation to the sun, are preying on people's ignorance regarding this matter. They will identify natural occurances and make all sorts of claim as how they are allegedly unnatural. Well if you know anything about the mechanics of our solar system and our planet, you pretty much know there is little to actually fear. The potential threat is always there by the way. People talk about the end of the world, crying wolf, year after year. Will it make them right if one year things actually take a bad turn? Not likely. Educated people have so little to fear in these matters. Anyway...

They say the government knows about Nibiru and is trying to hide its existence from us while they prepare to have themselves protected from harm. First off, we don't have the capacity to hide a planet, or a star, or anything else of significant size in space. What, think if you hide the paperwork on a planet's existence that it will somehow make that planet invisible? That's just stupid. Oh yes, there are many claims that Nibiru cannot be seen on its approach. Yet many claim it is perfectly visible, but is hidden by the sun.
So let me get this straight. Nibiru is allegedly coming towards us from the outer reaches of our solar system, yet it cannot be seen because it is between us and the sun??? This is outright a physical impossibility!
Others claim we rotate in such a manner that the sun masks Nibiru's approach to us from a neighboring system. They say the rotation takes 3200-3600 years. Well given that we rotate around our own sun in much less time, it also becomes impossible for Nibiru to stay hidden by the sun as whatever side its hidden on will become visible in less than a year. The only way it could stay hidden is if it had a super massive speed unlike any other planet that coincidentally had it rotating around our system in such a way as to constantly stay hidden. The odds of that are but a hair shred from impossible. Also, to kill any possibility that remains, we have probes and other instruments in place that catologue areas of space from a distance that are not in our line of sight. We have 100% eyes on in our system. Granted it takes time, but there is nothing that stays hidden for long.
It is very stupid however, whenever you contest someone's theory about Nibiru being on approach from the outside of the system and how impossibly, illogically sound that is, they immediately revert to saying you can't see it because it's between us and the sun, which again... which is it??? Is it out of the system, or at the heart of it?
Lastly, always ask for evidence of their claims. This is a fun activity and brings me to my next subject.

Evidence.
There are many photos of Nibiru/PLanet X all over the place. But how many of them are real? Easy. The answer is none of them. Each and every photo that is allegedly Nibiru, as compared to the database at NASA, has compiled the images and concluded them to be distant galaxies, stars, suns, etc. And all of them have a position that keeps them safely away from Earth. Also, each of these bodies has been named and catergorized, so they are no longer PLanet X by any means. You will however, hear doomsayers carrying on about how these pictures are really pictures of an approaching planet. Well one of the most popular ones on the internet has been confirmed by NASA to be a star. And guess what, it's not going anywhere! In fact, the scientists at NASA are very frustrated that people entertain the ideas of this mythical planet and its alleged, impossible approach.
The point is, each of the photos that have been addressed have been found to be things that are of no threat, not in approach to Earth or anywhere near our system, or merely the imagining of the person looking at the image. That's right, imagining. Well if there's a picture of it, how is that not real? Easy. Some of the photos claim to depict Nibiru between us and the sun are truthfully depicting the sun spot hitting the lens of the camera that took the picture. Why do you think it only becomes visible to the picture and not the naked eye. Come on, cameras are not that sophisticated and do not carry equipment to filter solar images. You can also tell because the sunspots appear exactly opposite to the direction of light refracting it. This is a simple property of light as taught in elementary school. I'm somewhat surprised people don't remember this more regularly.

Now I'll let you in on a little secret. Why do so many religions embrace the approach of Nibiru? Because if it exists it will become a very real way of spreading fear into making believers that is an all too typical instrument of religion. Gather numbers through fear and let nature take care of the rest. Take islam for example. The Quran says that great earthquakes will happen all over the world and that smoke will billow up from the earth, etc. etc. What better to make that seem real than an approaching comet, or planet? So naturally, they embrace Nibiru without even so much as studying its validity. Because if it's real, then they have a way of making their religion seem more real. If it's fake, they still win because they used it to their advantage in spreading fear to others to make them convert. It is merely a tool. Don't play into it. Do the research yourself and lol @ what you find.

The planetary alignment. Here's another hot one. Just what does it mean when planets align? Nothing. Nothing. Did I mention... nothing?
A planetary alignment has about as much of an effect on Earth as me waiting in line behind 8 other people at the checkout at Wal-Mart. Pretty much... nothing. So they line up, big deal! Why does everyone get so worked up about it? Look into it, the only heavenly bodies in our solar system that impact our axis, plane, gravity, etc. are the sun and the moon. So Jupiter lines up too... want a cookie? Jupiter doesn't have ANYTHING, let alone a gravitational infulence, that will change anything about the sun or us! The other planets could literally square dance with each other and it would have no impact on us. There is no property that would allow it. Then there's some crap about how a black hole in or near the Milky Way could cause a shift. Well there's just no hard data to support that theory. That is no more likely than guessing the sun will supernova tomorrow. And there's really no point in worrying about it without just cause.
Our universe is very stable. Most, if not all of these variables doomsayers keep talking about, either don't exist or have near impossible odds of remotely occuring. Either way, it doesn't make much sense to worry about it.
Also, NASA hasn't found anything that would lead them to believe anything is going to happen. People cite them for specific sentences in regards to remote possibilities on various subject matter, then quote them in reference to their own ideas. That's pretty deception 101.

Lastly, there was a great deal of speculation regarding some telescope images of what looked like a black mass in space where stars were once previously seen. This was due to damage from the imaging system that took those photos. You can easily verify this by researching photos that have been taken since that date and all the stars that looked like they disappeared are now all back in order. The image system has since been repaired. As someone who has had personal experience working on imaging systems, I can vouch for this kind of error. It is semi-typical and malfunctions can and do occur. Just because a piece of equipment is used by NASA does not mean it is not subject to flaw. I don't mean to make an ill placed pun here, but just look at what happened to the shuttle Columbia. Mistakes and malfunctions do occur.

Well I hope in some way shape of form this has been informational. If anyone had any further questions regarding Nibiru or the events of 2012, please feel free to leave questions, comments, concerns and I will post further about this.

You know? I only focus on the now right now. I just feel that if spend too much time worrying about the future, i'll never be able to experience the now. does that make sense? >.<

Funny you should mention that Pink. I've been living in the now for 10 years, and the way it's looking... I might not have much of a future.

I know what you're saying though, so no worries. It just made me reflect for a moment. You are definitely right.

I noticed i have so many friends from category two. I think i'm addicted to helping me go through stuff.
