Now, I know this is an "Irish" Guild but I'm not talking specifically about Irish Dancing. Just dancing in General.
I go to Swing Clubs frequently, for example.

At the moment I cannot dance, but I am seriously considering learning this dance. No, really. I am. It looks like so much fun.

♔ @Matt: Maybe you didn't know (however, it is listed in our Rules and Guidelines) that threads that have nothing to do with the Irish culture are accepted and encouraged the same as Irish threads. The main OIC forum is equivalent to the Gaia Chatterbox forum.
As to dancing, I once seriously considered it, but I've got this strange inhale when twisting my body too much, so couldn't try it. (I also had to change my tennis stretching routine because of it, so it affected everything.)
What are the swing clubs like? o.o

I love to dance, but regrettably, I am not very good at it.

Oh, no, I was just pointing out that I'm not gearing this towards any variety of Irish Dancing. Though my friend of mine recently participated in a step competition in Dublin. Considering Irish Step Dancing is very big where I'm from, I felt the need to clarify that. Quote: What are the swing clubs like? o.o They are pretty much just Ballrooms, but we call them Swing Clubs even though they do all sorts of things there. The place I go to is the Willowbrook Ballroom, which has a large dance floor, and two bars on either side of the dance floor. http://www.willowbrookballroom.com/ has some nice pictures. It's also allegedly haunted.

Your swing club sounds really nice! >.< ( Two bars on either side? <3 ) Do you have to have a partner?
And it's haunted? Do you know anything about that?

I have a couple friends that I go with, but no regular partner. Which is all good, since it's a social dance. The Willowbrook Ballroom (sometimes, another Ballroom is used for this story) had an alleged incident where a young girl was dancing with this mysterious stranger who said simply he came from "Out of Town." He danced better than anyone else, and when she danced with him, she realized it was like he was walking on air. She took a look down at his feet, and saw he had Goat legs. She let out a scream, and he ran out, through the window. There is a More Famous story about this place. Along Archer Avenue, where this place is located, there is a young girl who will hitch a ride with Drivers. She'll claim she's leaving the ballroom, going home... But when you pass the infamous Ressurection Cemetery, she disappears. A by the numbers Hitchhiking Ghost story, the story of "Ressurrection Mary" is one of Chicago's most famous haunts.
