My armpits smell like peaches whee
Yeah, I'm kinda being insane and will be carrying peach candies and drinking peach juice, and will be wearing peach lip gloss... and already have the peach-scented deodorant.
As for the costume itself, the skirt is 80% complete, and I'm hoping to get very close to finishing the shirt today.
I'll also have a turnip, which will be my backpack, and her golf club (have), tennis racket, and frying pan.

I have a stuffed mushroom, was originally planning to add a face and toad body, but it's huge and plushie-making would take too much time I don't have.
However, if I see one for sale at the con, I'll likely buy it.

that looks pretty good, i can't wait to see it when you're done. I have to ask, how long do you usually take on costumes? I've been kinda interested in doing more cosplay stuff =d

My first few costumes never were completed, so I can't really give you a time frame...
But I'm looking at a total of ~40 hours just of cutting, assembling, sewing, fixing, attaching, etc. for this costume.
Plus the time spent shopping for accessories and whatnot.
But I've got almost everything now!
Bought the lace and crinoline, so I can finish my skirt.
Got gold paint and jewels for my crown.
Got the earrings
Have the gloves
Got something to be painted for the chest jewel thing
And am currently assembling my turnip backpack whee

 Looks good so far.
in some of the stills we see of Peach, she has that butt hump thing (forget what it's called)... It's the style of dress from that era she's mimicking. Are you gonna try to reproduce that? Or go for a more modern portrayal? "Pain, how dare you use that word.
