Tyrnat, while the largest town in the Tarin Mountains, is nonetheless very small by most of Lienae's standards. There are only a couple of two story buildings, and no tile roofs - they're all thatched or made with wooden slats. Nonetheless, it is a happy town.
NPC Population: 506 Character homes: 1 Character businesses: 1
Map: Not yet available
Weather conditions: A light layer of snow coats the ground, except in the well-travelled areas of town.

Windstar shook her wings off as she entered the town, but some of the snow remained lodged under her feathers. All the doors in sight were closed against the cold. Windstar took her cloak out of the pack she had been carrying in her ams during flight. Setting down the pack, she flung the large cloakaround her shoulders and over her wings, making sure they were full covered. There was no reason to advertise her capacity for flight just yet, even though it looked as though noone who couldn't fly would be able to get over the mountains this winter. She carefully lifted her pack to her shoulder, wincing as it banged against her sore wings, and set off down the streets to look for an inn to stay the night.

Miakou pulled up the collar on his cloak to protect his pointed ears, and started down the street. He spotted an obviously cold young woman, and lent a small, warm smile her way.

Windstar caught the young man's eye, and smiled back. She headed over. "Excuse me, do you know where I could find an inn or tavern?"

"I'd suggest mine, but it's it's closed right now." He smiled. "Cleaning, and other dirty business." He pointed down the road a little ways, "There's a good inn. It's got rooms available, and the bar's still open." He noticed her pointed ears, and took silent note of them. "Tell me, what brings you to Tyrnat, if that isn't too obtrusive?"

Miakou got out of bed and stretched. The last night was pretty much a blur. Miakou had departed from the elf, and went home to sleep. Now, as day broke upon the snowy peaks of the Tarin mountains, he once again realized their beauty. But not all that would happen that day would bring beauty.

Windstar woke up in a comfortable bed in an unfamiliar room. It took a moment, but she remembered that this was the inn that the young man had pointed out earlier. Stretching, she decided that it was about time she took a break from her search. After all, a few days wouldn't make much difference. She got out of bed, collected her things, and paid the innkeeper. It was about time she had a residence away from the Icarii ancestral lands, too. A sort of home base, so to speak. She headed out to the street to look for a tavern. They tended to be better than inns for finding homes for sale: the inns just wanted you to stay in their rooms for eternity.

Miakou stepped out of his house, and made the short brisk walk to his inn. Upon entering, he found everything in perfect order. Grabbing a match, he lit some kindling, and started a warm fire within minutes. He pulled a glass from below the counter, and filled it with some light ale. He set it down, pulled up a stool, and waited for a customer. He drank a bit, and stared at the clock he had recently purchased. It's oak features accented the room perfectly in his mind. A bit of light from the fire he had started earlier shone off the golden hands, and cast an eerie reflection across the room.

Fox began walking at a slower speed; she had run from the cave to the town. Only a few people walked on the streets. Snow covered the houses. It was left over from the storm. "I'd hate to get caught in a storm like that again. I should find a place to stay for the night." Fox looked in her money pouch and counted the amount, "Almost 26 gold. I hope it will be enough for an inn or something." She sighed. Money was a rare prize when she was younger. She wasn't used to handling it, and knew very little about costs for items and rooms. She put her pouch away before resuming to walk. She stopped a man for directions to the nearest inn. She was lucky, there was one right across the street from her. The name, Dragon's Blood Tavern. "I hope it's open." Fox muttered before approaching it.

Fox stopped walking when she heard a voice call out behind her. She whirled around. Who could it possibly be?

Windstar waved. "You know, you shouldn't feel bad. The innkeeper's kinda quiet - he was probably meditating or something."

"Meditating?" Fox asked. "I guess so...but if he's busy, I don't want to disturb him....again. Can I still get a room? Is there an assistant or someone I could talk to?" Fox sighed. "Sorry for asking all these questions, it's just...I really just need a place where I can spend the night."
