After talking to one of your guild members, I just want to make sure I'm making the list for the right reasons.
If you haven't seen it yet, please check the RYB's Official Aquarium List and check the 4th post regarding the Listing Format.
Do you believe that there's too much information or is all that information necessary for your Booty Grabbing needs?
If you have the time, please post in this thread so I know if I should edit the Listing Format.

Well, since the purpose of the list is to show off the tanks, I believe the link to the tank is very appropriate, it's one thing to say you have this many fish, but since the fish die it may take some time to replace the fish, or the owner may want to change the fish in a blink of an eye (especially when new fish come out).
As for the profile link, that may or may not be necessary. If someone wants to send invites through this list, they can easily copy and paste, or, this is where the link comes handy, go through through their profile, leave a comment, if they only accept PMs from friends. So that may be a toss up, I'd like to read what other people think as well...
And angelx1 did bring up something that did worry me a little... the list is getting a bit longer and longer, thus more scrolling and scroll. If this were the regular forums it would be easy to link them in the T of C... I suppose what can be done is put one or two categories on a separate page... Then you can make links to each page... it's still gonna be a long list, there's no getting around it, I know... But then again, it's not that hard to scroll down... Or... something less drastic, shrink the text down a little...

Or... something less drastic, shrink the text down a little... Thank you for the feedback Rain. I made sure that each post I made consist of only 10 listings. It will get much longer and I intend to make an easy link for the members at the Table of Contents once I feel that there's enough tanks in the list.

Like stated, the list is getting long. I would love to use this when making my first booty thread, but There's too many words and lines to look through. Tank link is nice and direct, alone with a name to copy and paste when sending invites. (if anything, its always more difficult for me to highlight an link than just text. Sometimes, I accidentally click on the links, completely throwing me off my groove D smile
Also, when posting information on a tank in the category "All Watermeat Tanks" xD I don't think it's necessary adding that they have 17 watermeat. All these good tank should have 17 fish(and alas, the ones you have up there all do have 17), and we already know that they're all watermeats ^ ^
I know it looks more professional and uniform, but...long list. I'd prefer something faster and easier.

What I can do is make the numbers larger or bolder for people to see easier. The list is just going to get longer considering there are over 80,000+ users here. I'm assuming less than a quarter are dedicated tank owners... As for the "All Watermeat Section," I'll make sure to remove the "17 Watermeats" part. It's just easier for me considering I've been copying and pasting the listing format every time I make an entry. So far, there isn't a large enough consensus for me to only have the tank as a link. Big reason why I put a profile link as well is because some people would like to know who they're inviting. If they're mules, they may not even answer your PMs or comments unless you make one towards the main account. Otherwise, thank you for the feedback. This is very experimental and I think this guild (me to be more precise) is the only one who's crazy enough to make this list. I just hope it will be a success...

Only reason why I still add the fish information for the "All (or Mostly) Watermeat Section" is because some threads strictly invite Mermaids only or combination Mermaid and Watermeat tanks only. If there are other fishes in the tank, they might not want to invite those particular individuals... That format will be used for the All Watermeat Section only. Not too many users have made tanks that are strictly Dark Knights, Turtles, Ninjas, etc. Actually, considering I placed all the listings in alphabetical order, it would have been much harder to post one listing on one post. A lot more cut and pasting required. ^_^;; I just felt having 10 listings in a post won't look too long nor stretch the page further down... Still experimenting... Thanks again for the feedback. ^_^

you put so much work into this! I'm impressed! regarding the list being too long...is there a way to only have active members? it would be bad to have people on there that don't log on for months. (not sure if that would be possible...just a thought)

While I like the link to people's aquariums, I think the link to their profile is equally important. Invites are usually sent by PM, and having a link to a person's profile makes it easier for people making booty grab threads to invite them. If I were making a booty grab thread that's what I'd want to see - either a link to the profile or a direct PM link.
And I don't think the list should be limited to active members of this guild. I don't even think it should be limited to guild members. It should included anyone who has an aquarium and wants to get invited to booty grab threads. As a gaia wide resource it will draw attention to this guild, and make people want to participate & join. biggrin

(not sure if that would be possible...just a thought) It would be helpful to post "only active members" in the list, but I have no clue to tell whether or not the user is active, on vaction, or gone from Gaia altogether. Only real way to tell of a user's activity is by checking their profiles. But some profiles are private or don't even tell when they last logged in. xp

I think the biggest challenge of creating this list is not only listing the tanks... but also updating the information. Once I get this list running, I might make a sticky thread where people in the guild can keep me informed of inaccurate information in the list so I (or the other crew members) can correct the information. 3nodding If you find any information that has changed while I'm adding more users to the list, let me know...
