Has anyone read the John Steakley novel, that John Carpenter's Vampires was based on?
I finally scored a copy yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised. The writing style is different, but Jack Crow is ******** awesome. And while he works with the Vatican, he doesn't take his orders from it. He's into slaying Vampires for the money, and sees it as a calling. Once you start in the line of work, you always do it. I'm only half way through it, but it's definately a must read.

I've been trying to find this book for years but could never find it. I had seen Carpenter's vampires and was ******** blown away of how cool it was. It my favorite vamp flick and I even went as far as watching it 4 times in a row.

Yeah, the movie was pretty cool. I saw it in the theater on Halloween night and really enjoyed it. I didn't know it was based on a book. I'm going to look into finding that now.
