I can't do very well with making stuff, but I do like to make sims and play as them. Building is fun, but I haven't completely mastered it yet.

Build, but now that I have the sims 3. I find I'm doing a good bit of controlling too.

I mostly create with it, because I don't enjoy the new play style of TS3. I much prefer the sandbox feel that TS2 had with their neighborhoods, whereas TS3 feels much more like an actual game. Problem is, now I hate creating on TS2. .-.

I love building houses in any Sims...even though they all end up pretty much the same. (Square-ish, two or more floors, huge rooms, kitchen with black-and-white checker tile, etc). Creating Sims is fun too, but sometimes I just want to make someone, and gtfo. Not all the details that Sims 3 requires.
Guess I prefer building and controlling XD

I like to Create very detailed sims in TS3 and than I end up loving to control them and make their lives awful or amazing.
I spend almost hours at a time building their houses. In TS2 I once made a custom neighborhood that turned out amazing.
I basically like to do all three mainly build and control. mrgreen

I would have a lot more fun creating if they had everything right when you install The Sims 3. Controlling is kinda good but always seems to bore me a while after. sad

I think it depends on the game.
On the sims 3, I would pick either build or control, but not create. I love playing the pre-made households and doing generacies*.
On the sims 2, I pick create. There are not many fun things to do in live mode in my opinion. Except perhaps generacies.
On the sims life stories, I pick control. Thats what the game is all about when you play story mode anyway. Free play mode is a different story...
On the original sims, I guess it would be build. My whole game revolves around building the house. The father goes to work everday and I can't find anything else to do with the money. I also like creating sims, but I still pick build because I can always play a pre-made household.
*Generacies are my version of a legacy. You need to play 26 generations with no cheatcodes except the needs cheat (maxmotives, etc.)
