Gaia Name: Toxias
RPC Name: Abigail Silenthand (Or more commonly known as Shade and occasionally Test Subject 9)
Age: 31
Gender: Female
Human or Altered: Altered
Powers/Abilities: Abigail has a strange power. Her presence seems to cancel out all other Altereds’ abilities. So far, her range is about a 30 feet in all directions. Abigail’s power has developed to the point where if there was a ranged power, such as telekinesis, and that Altered was standing out of Abigail’s range, an object being levitated into Abigail’s range would immediately drop to the ground because telekinesis would not work there. Another example would be the control of fire. That fire would immediately die once within Abigail’s range. Abigail can now turn her ability on and off, though she still can’t target a specific person.
Weapon: A double bladed staff and two guns that shoot out pure bolts of energy. Abigail’s also very good in hand-to-hand combat.
Personality: Abigail not a people person anymore. She almost always silent, unless she’s mouthing off at someone. No longer the bright but completely terrified child she was, Abigail is now very fierce and intimidated by very little. Bloodthirsty and bitter, Abigail has become very very dark. Abigail’s aura can send chills down a regular human’s spine. She harbors no pity for those she is assigned to hunt. Ruthless, Abigail is always constantly searching for a way to repay the escaped Altereds for never coming back to rescue her. She’s still very stubborn, but usually hard to provoke.
Bio: Abigail was born a test tube baby, the egg and sperm donated by two researchers working in the Institute, but for another project, not one they were working on. They didn’t care about their child, and to this day, have no idea where she is, or even that she is alive. Scientists grafted avian DNA into Abigail while she still was an embryo. So when Abigail was finally born, the result was she had small wings on her back. They grew as she grew, and Abigail hated them. However, there really wasn’t a choice and she’s learned to deal with them. They’re still a little too small for real flight, but Abigail’s able to glide from great heights or flutter a few feet off the ground for a couple minutes.

This Avian-Human experiment was soon ditched, however, in favor of the new one that created the Alters. Abigail was a key subject because she was one of the few that actually survived the avian DNA injection and the researchers were very interested in how the two experiments would react to each other. Unfortunately for Abigail, she didn’t die from it. Instead, like all the other Altereds, she developed a power, which led to further testing and prodding from needles.

(See Foundation for this part of Bio)

As the rebellion started to break out, Abigail tried many times to escape…but they all failed, especially since security had tightened. Slowly, as Abigail had to endure more testings and tortures, her personality began to warp and twist to what she is today. As a result, she complied with the scientists more and more, until it got the point where she was hunting those who used to be tested right alongside her. The researchers trained her in the art of fighting, put also put extra precautions on her because they did so. Abigail’s still tested on, but she finds the freedom and satisfaction of killing is worth it. Although, somewhere in Abigail’s heart, she knows that she still wants to be rescued. It will take a brave soul to do so…
Alignment: Abigail’s still with the Institute, though no one is quite sure if it’s by choice or coercions any more
