No one is quite certain as to where these eggs came from, or what Pokémon has laid them, but what we do know is that on one morning, Nurse Joy woke up to a bunch of these cream coloured eggs on her PC doorstep.
Because of the amount of eggs that were left, she is unable to take care of them all, and needs the help of some willing trainers to help hatch the eggs. And depending on how well you took care of the pokemon, you might get to keep them!
 Sign ups for the event will begin when this thread is set up (basicly, now), and will be open till the 4th August, when the event will begin.
Once the event begins, all participants will be given an egg. Each egg looks, feels, smells, and weights the same as all the rest.
Once you have been given an egg, you will have untill the end of august to show me how well you can take care of your egg. You'll can do this by roleplaying in this thread, or any other location in the guild so long as you post a link to it in this thread (just to save me the trouble of trying to find it).
Depending on how well you take care of your egg, will determine what kind of pokemon will hatch out of it.
Once your pokemon egg has hatched, you will have two options:
- You may decide to keep the pokemon that has hatched out of it. If you do decide to keep it you will have to pay a small fee of 500g.
- You may decide to give the pokemon back to the pokemon center. In this case, you may "exchange" your newly hatched pokemon for some special items, which will be revealed once your pokemon hatches.
- You may decide to give the pokemon to a friend of yours

What kind of pokemon will hatch from the egg?
Generaly speaking, you wont know untill it hatches. But the type of pokemon will be influenced by how much you roleplay, and what kind of roleplay you do.
So if I roleplay my egg hatching into a eevee, I will get a eevee?
Nope, and you are definately not allowed to roleplay the egg hatching into any specific pokemon. The only time you can do so if after I post the end of the event, and what kind of pokemon has hatched from each egg.
What if I don't like the pokemon that hatches from my egg?
If this is the case, you are able to trade it in for some "special items"
The items aren't going to be something stupid are they?
No, they'll be worth something don't worry (think vouchers and stuff)
How much do I have to roleplay here? 5 pages worth?
While I'm hoping this will involve alot of roleplay, I'm fully aware that people have IRL commitiments. So don't worry if you're not able to roleplay heaps. Just as long as I see a few good roleplay responses showing your character taking care of the egg, and I'll be a happy poke

But if I roleplay really alot, don't beg, and be a good little trainer, is there a chance I'll get a rare pokemon or one I really want?

Well, having grown up in a hatchery, I would feel that it would only be fair to tend to a couple young lives for the poor nurse.
How will you take care of the egg?
The best way anyone can. Constent contact, and a little TLC.

Why do you want to help take care of one of the eggs? Lina's pretty excited about the prospects of taking care of a Pokemon egg. Especially since she already has an egg in her care. It will be a good experience with her. Mier is taking care of the second egg, she's pretty used to working with pokemon eggs, and she does need to build her team a little.
How will you take care of the egg? Lina's not entirely sure, she if she keeps it safe and warm, it should be OK right? Mier is a little more experienced with the eggs. Once she gets her egg, she'll go back to Lilycove, settle down, and keep the egg safe and comfortable.
Anything else you want to mention? I'm gonna be gone on a camping trip for the entire second half of August, so if I suddenly disappear and stop role-playing, that's why.

Why do you want to help take care of one of the eggs? Maybe whatever hatches out of this one won't be so... Angry, and violent. I can hope, anyway... How bad is it that someone - let alone a guy - wants protection from a ball of fluff?
How will you take care of the egg? Most likely carrying it in a bag at all times, cushioned to keep it from being affected by motion or bumps, and to keep it warm and away from the elements. And away from one particular mischievous Eevee...
Anything else you want to mention? What if it's worse than the first one? I'm so ******** if it's worse than the first one...

Alright, sign-up has officaly ended, no more eggs will be given out for this event after this post, and now I introduce you all to, your eggs!
because I'm always looking for an excuse to roleplay BD;

It was pure chaos.
Everywhere in the pokemon center, there were people sitting around and holding pokemon eggs, or talking to each other about the pokemon eggs they had or what their one was going to hatch into. You can even hear some frantic shouting as a girl with a tail runs past you, shouting to others; "FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, YOU'R ENOT SUPPOSED TO EAT THE EGGS!"
A Chancey then walks up to you and, with a bright smile and a "chancey!" it leads you into a seperate room which is much more calm and peacefull. In this room holds many basklets with fluffy blankets, and in each basket holds a pokemon egg, with a tag naming the trainer whom was supposed to talk care of it tied onto the basket handle.
((alright, now it's complety up to you what you want to do with your egg, go nuts <3))

Sitting amongst the masses of trainers - feeling quite sociophobic at this point, actually - was Yuki. This wasn't at all what he had expected, and he didn't do well in crowds. Not anymore. He'd leaned forward in the chair he occupied, propping his head up with elbows on his knees, staring intensely at his own feet to keep from looking around the Center. He had the horrible feeling that he was being stared at, but hadn't dared to look up to find out. Maybe if he ignored them, they'd look away...
"Chansey!"
Yuki gave a slight jolt and whipped his head up to look at the giant, pink Egg Pokemon. All too eager to get away from all of the trainers and the noise that filled the lobby, Yuki was on his feet almost immediately to follow the Chansey to what turned out to be a much quieter room. That, he was thankful for.
At the same time, he knew it would be temporary, as he was the first of many to come back here. Better get the egg and get the hell out of here.
It hadn't taken as long as he'd thought to find the appropriately labeled basket, and once he'd done so he gently lifted the blanket from the basket. Nesting the egg inside, he maneuvered carefully to wrap the egg fully in the blanket. Shrugging a small, empty drawstring bag off of his shoulder, the bundle was placed inside and the bag quickly pulled shut and secured.
Surely it was a great idea to have the egg out of sight when he went back out into the lobby of waiting trainers. The last thing he wanted was half of them acknowledging him - or just something he was holding - all at once.
Yuki was only here to pick up one of the eggs, after all. He had no reason to stick around. They'd already been told what they were supposed to be doing, and caring for an egg couldn't be that difficult. Once back to the lobby, sights locked on the exit, he made a beeline for it.

Amongst the chaos, Blade wasn't feeling too comfortable. The pokemon center was too crowded, that was for certain. Normally a thick crowd meant it was easier for him to pickpocket things but he wasn't exactly here for that. At all. When the Chansey came for him, he stood up and followed it to receive his eggs. How odd it was for the things to be plain and white, like giant chicken eggs or something along those lines. It made him wonder if they were all the same thing. Carefully, he took each of the two eggs assigned to him and placed them into his sack. Once he had the two secure, he made his way out of the pokemon center. No point in sticking around the chaos after all, especially now that he had a few fragile things with him. ((places where the eggs are mentioned: Beach orpjournal ))

Eienna sat calmly in the crowd. The noise was beating on her brain, to be sure, but there was no sense getting upset about it. She tuned it out and imagined what sort of creature might be in her egg. It took the Chancey a couple of tries to break through the racket and her daydream, but Eienna soon followed it, fighting down butterflies in her stomach. A second's distraction had her running into the door. OW. Eienna rubbed her head and continued following, carrying her basket full of snuggly blankets. She went down the line and found her egg, full of excitement and willing her hands not to slip. She nested it carefully in the basket after giving it a gentle hug. "You're all mine now." She pulled some of her long brown hair out of her face, thanked the Chancey, and walked out - her face beaming with joy. With a huge yawn and a few smaller ones, Sadie rubbed her eyes as she didn't seem to think that getting up at such an hour was a good thing. Stretching out her stiff limbs, Sadie headed to the pokemon center where she had heard was over run with pokemon eggs. Well. With a mother like hers, she couldn't refuse... Not that she would have wanted to meet her mother's wrath and all that. Sadie would preferred to take on more Rockets then her own mother any day. Walking towards the pokemon center she leaned on Sassy a little as she really wasn't completely awake, maybe she would be once she entered the chaos? As she sliding doors opened she was awake then when she say everyone else handling the eggs and some playing with them carelessly. "Of all the..." She broke off shaking her head, kids, she thought making her way through as an egg came rolling her way across the floor with a small kid chasing after it. Moving out of the way she wish she could have pummeled the kid for being so reckless, but as it was she didn't have the energy to. That and she had other business to take care of in another room of the place. Walking away from the main lobby and the noise, that was seriously hurting her ears. Sadie found the room she had been instructed to go after the phone call this morning. Why did everyone have to call in the freaking morning? Sadie would have preferred to have come at night, but with her mother she was forced to get up and head out early. approaching the instructed room, the back seemed pretty empty. finally some quite, though she would have to going back out into the noise when she left. Entering the room she noticed a couple others there collecting baskets with eggs in them. Collecting the two that had her own name on them, Sadie left the baskets behind and carried the eggs out in her arms. Stepping once more out and around the other people she managed to exit with a sigh, before nearly walking into one of her other pokemon. "Mother..." She muttered at the Kangaskhan.. Not that she wanted to call it that... It was her actual 'mother's' idea to name it that. The Kangaskhan watched Sadie for a moment, the old thing having lost her own child a long time ago eyed the eggs a moment before scooping them out of Sadie's arms and placing them gently into her pouch. Well at least they would be safe then? Shaking her head, eyes closing some, she didn't know what to do with the Kangaskhan, really it did as it mind to when there were eggs or at least little ones around for the most part. "Alright, you can look after them." Sadie said defeated, not that she wanted to fight with the Kangaskhan in the first place. "Just don't come to me if they don't turn out the way you like." The Kangas merely looked at Sadie with a small smile before turning to amble back towards the hatchery, Sadie and Sassy behind her. One place I'm Rping, may turn into an Open later on. ^^ Home again, with more then one can ask for
