I'm not an expert on this person, his case, or what is happening in the media. But apparently they are going to let this dude -who watched animals die for fun- play football again.
What is your opinion on this? Should they or should they not let this person be praised and be in the public eye?

I would have been brutal to the man personally, but that's just me...
I figured they would let him play again anyway, but I really wish they wouldn't. Makes me sick...

Anyone who likes to watch living things die obviously has to be ******** up. What is to say he wouldn't get off on killing people too?

We're "higher" beings according to general society... That likely plays into it. I'll admit, he's a sick freak, but standards aren't the same when comparing the slaying of animals to the slaying of people. confused

He's not hunting the animals for any sort of benefit, he is just killing them to get off on it. He's a sick freak- I do not like dogs at all but I'm really siding with the animal lovers on this.

If only I'd thought of the right words I could have held on to your heart If only I'd thought of the right words I wouldn't be breaking apart All my pictures of you I don't understand why they're even letting him back on the field... I mean, because of the dog fighting charges he lost all the money from his sponsors (i.e. Nike, Gatorade, etc.) and he has to give back all the money to those companies because he violated his contract. Maybe they just feel bad that he's in financial hell? I don't know but I think anyone that trains and watches two animals destroy each other is sick and should be punished more severely. Kids look up to this guy so what are they suppose to think when he does something like this and doesn't get punished for it properly?
Animal cruelty is wrong no matter who it is or what the animal it is.
Looking so long at these pictures of you But I never hold on to your heart Looking so long for the words to be true But always just breaking apart My pictures of you

I believe animal cruelty is as bad as human cruelty, so honestly he should rot in a jail with very little food and a man friend who he has to call "daddy".

Well not to sound like an a** who supports abusing animals, but he did serve jail time right? so in the end he has repaid society with his jail time and he has been discredited. So now its all in the hands of the NFL if they want to hire a convict to play professional football, but im sure there will be ALOT of media hype around in, all in the negative and im sure that there will probably be game protests against him. Im pretty sure he wont last too long.

Was he not in Jail for like 28-ish months?
Where 'normal' people spend years in jail for cruelty to animals?

I know they said he served his sentence, but it really rankled me to see the breaking news about him being allowed to play again. There are just some things that when you do it, you shouldn't be allowed to join normal society like before. Animal cruelty (and especially on such a scale as Vick did) is one of them. And, yeah, I really doubt Vick would have gotten so little time if he wasn't a big shot football player.

I really do not think he should be allowed to play, he is a sick man, but do you really think there is not some one who is a dog lover playing. I give him three games before he is injured and can not play anymore.

I think the NFL is saying look he served his time, he claims he's sorry, lets see what happens. I don't think anyone has been allowed back in the game before after such a crime or higher. But remember, the better you carry a ball *political or whatever* the better the chance you are going to get a second chance. I think it's more horrible that someone actually drafted him.

Wasn't it because he was involved in a ring of dog fights? That's disgusting. He should have stayed in jail and been someone's "b*tch", lol see what I did there?
He probably bribed and bought his way out.

MajinPlatypus26 He should have stayed in jail and been someone's "b*tch", lol see what I did there? Woof. whee I don't think it's all that surprising. NFL wants wins, and media loves controversy. But as Sancho said before, I doubt he'll be in there too much longer either, if no one lets him live it down that is. Which they definitely shouldn't, I wouldn't if I were a sports journalist.

Honestly, I think there is way too much cruelty to humans going unpunished to care much about what happens to dogs; however, training 2000 pit bulls to fight each other is simply atrocious and should be punished. I also think that the second his jail time was over, he should have been allowed to do whatever he wanted, be it football or something else.
I do realize that this will sound cruel to most of you, but think about it logically. Do you care more about dogs being injured, or a lot of humans dying in various locations all over the world?
