right now im readinng the ultimate hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy it has all 5 novels in it

Any books by Terry Pratchett are great.
And InkHeart is pretty good too.

Donald Tyson's - Alhazred: Author of the Necronomicon is a great read. I also recomment Eric Nylund's - A Game of Universe, and anything Margaret Weis.

any of Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series...which will take you more then five years to read
