~Peanut the fish~
~Poem#1~
We went to a pet store today
I looked around to see who would be my new mate
I thought of a cat named Kate!
Or a rooster named Late!
A dog named Blake
A snake named Drake!
But it all came down to one
My new fish named Peanut
I smiled at his bright golden gills
Wondering if he’ll make my sister scream or throw in a few shrills
So my mom paid for my new friend Peanut.
And as I walked to the car I thought of Corn Nuts.
Once in my seat I put on my buckle
And slowly began to chuckle
Before I knew it, I was dragging myself into the house
Not aware if I was all there.
Within an hour I had fallen asleep
But quickly jumped with a leap
I took my mother’s purse
From a view it looked like a murse
I then pulled out the car keys and stared at them intently
My father looking at me like I was a creep
But I held them as if my thoughts were deep
With quick movement I flew to the door
Worried and feeling somewhat poor
I turned the key and opened the car
Then my heart felt like disgusting tar
I now stand before this ten inch grave
Wondering if my dad will ever shave
My sister looked at me like an idiot
A life form of retardation
Or maybe something under the same classification
All because of my simple little mistake
My poor pet Peanut is no longer awake

Come! Come, let's learn how to fly!
But wouldn't we die?
How can we die if we are going to fly!
Fine let's fly!
Jump off the hill side and land by the creek!
But I can't for I am small and meek
Come! Come, my friend, and join me in a flight!
But I will fright

Ack! You pulled me off the side!
Come! Come join me as I fly!
You are crazy!
And very lazy!
You are a loon!
Not until noon!
We are going to die!
How can we die if we are going to fly?!

Say that again and your end is near
HA! That's the last thing I fear!
Our end is already close by
Not unless I fly!

Stop that your giving me an ulcer
Those are very bulger!
