Hmm . . . I'm not really sure what to say about that . . . Of course, Victoria isn't really a major character until the third movie, which makes it strange that she would drop the movie, if she even did. But I guess because Victoria isn't too big (in person, she's talked about, but never really seen) in New Moon or Twilight it makes her easy to recast. I have mixed feelings, though. I don't know why the studio would just drop one of the actresses . . .

On Access Hollywood, Rachel says she was shocked cuz it was only a 10 day overlap and she said she wanted to be in Eclipes. In my opinion, Summit are corporate douches, who were disrespectful adn threw her under the bus. I guess technically they don't have to be flexible and they can do what they please. I just think that it's unfair to Rachel, and frankly, I want her back. I don't know about this Bryce girl who's replacing her. In anycase, she's pretty and maybe she could play the part well, but i stick by Rachel.
i'm a little pissed if you can't tell. ^^' lol.

I got this from hisgoldeneyes.com. lol. Quote: This just in from Summit: We at Summit Entertainment are disappointed by Rachelle Lefevre’s recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the Studio. Her decision to discuss her version of the scheduling challenges publicly has forced the Studio to set the record straight and correct the facts. * Ms. Lefevre’s representatives were advised as early as April that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE was expected to start shooting in early August. * If Ms. Lefevre was, as she describes “passionate,” about being part of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, we feel that she and her representatives would have included us in her decision to work on another film that would conflict with the shooting schedule of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. * It was not until July 20th that Summit was first informed of Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to BARNEY’S VERSION, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June. Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production. * Furthermore Ms. Lefevre took a role in the other film that places her in Europe during the required rehearsal time, and at least ten days of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE’s principal photography. This period is essential for both rehearsal time with the cast, and for filming at key locations that are only available during the initial part of production. * Contrary to Ms. Lefevre’s statement, it is simply untrue that the Studio dismissed her over a ten day overlap. It is not about a ten day overlap, but instead about the fact that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is an ensemble production that has to accommodate the schedules of numerous actors while respecting the established creative vision of the filmmaker and most importantly the story. The fact remains that Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to the other project - which she chose to withhold from Summit until the last possible moment - makes her unfortunately unavailable to perform the role of Victoria in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. So basically, Rachel did not inform the company of her other commitment until less than a month before the pre-production of ECLIPSE. Maybe had she told them this they would've been flexible(?). This is an unfortunate turn of events...even if there was a chance she could get the part back, it's basically shot to hell because she, in their opinion publicly said Summit screwed her over more or less in turn pissing them off. Anyone else sense attitude in Summit's statement? Kinda like, "look, b***h, this is what it is" lol. So i guess it was Rachel's fault for more or less not being responsible to inform them of this. Honestly i wish Rachel was the victim here. I hate the "Man" has a valid point.

Mmmm same as the others. I have mixed feelings, but at the same time I have good expectations from Bryce. Personally, I thought she did well in The Village. It was a strange movie, but it caught my interest. As appearances go, I think she makes the cut. I just wonder how they're going to fix her up to look like Victoria. o.O

I think you are being overly critical. It's not like Summit is the first studio to ever dismiss actors/actresses over this kind of thing before. Think about how much money they are spending on the movie, how many fans are waiting for the movie and what a tight schedule they are on. A ten day overlap could really hurt some filming/preproduction that needs to be done. I don't believe it's anything personal, it's about business and professionalism. When you have already committed yourself to a job, you cannot accept another when it may compromise the first. It is unprofessional. Your decision could easily screw over many others who are working extremely hard to get this movie out on time. These people are on a tight time limit, they need to get this movie done before the actors age too much. It's not about Rachel, personally, it's about finishing on a tight deadline.
Rachel did not respect her commitment to Summit. And, therefore, I think they were well in their right to let her go. They should not be blamed or criticized for disrespecting Rachel when she showed them the same treatment.
