It was late at night at the tavern of fate as May sat at a bar stool sipping on a can of oil. She idoly wondered who would show up next to join her

The bar door opened as Daniel walked into the Tarven of Fate in his usual attire, walking to the counter to order some tea before walking to a booth, sitting to the farthest edge from the walkway, taking out a book to read.

Yuki opened the tavern door and glanced around, seeing who was inside. He walked quietly over to an empty booth and sat down. Taking out a small pad of paper and a pencil, he began sketching, making a picture of a fox in a forest. He sighed. Flipping the page, he started another doodle.

Noticing Yuki drawing over at another booth, May smiled ever so slightly then got up from her stool and walked over to him.
"What are you drawing Yuki?" She asked him curiously

Yuki looked up. "Oh, hello, May. Um, it's nothing much. Just a sketch..." He held up the pad for May to see. The picture depicted a fox at the edge of a forest, crouching, ready to strike. Behind the fox was a small cub. "I saw it on the way here. A mother fox protecting her cub." He paused, letting her see the picture. "What do you think? How's my picture?" he asked.

"It's beautiful" May exclaimed "It looks almost like the fox is about to literally leap off the page." she added. After a few seconds she thought of something.
"Query: What was the fox protecting the cub from?"

"Thanks! You really think it's that good?" he replied, blushing a little at May's praise. Hearing her question, he continued. "Oh. Uh, that would be me. She doesn't like people around her cubs, apparently." Yuki paused for a moment. "Is there anything that you'd like to see me draw?"

Without warning, something came smashing through a window, hit the adjacent wall, and flopped onto the ground. Standing up, it was obvious that this thing was Death. "Don't worry, I'm OK! But I think the door's broken; I turned the knob and kept pulling but it wouldn't open.... So I jumped through that window. And honestly, I wasn't expecting that wall to be there...."
Death looked over at the mess he made. After a moment of thought he decided that he didn't really care. Walking over to the bar, Death sat down on one of those rotating stools and spun around once before ordering a drink. "Umm... I want chocolate milk!" Yes, Death ordered chocolate milk. Death got his drink and he took a sip before continuing to spin of his chair as if he was five years old.

Daniel looked up from his book, a sweatdrop already rolling down the back of his head as he saw Death flying through the window. Daniel calmy went to the door, opening it to reveal Death's problem.
"Hey Death the door opens by pushing not pulling." he said rather emotionlessly before returning to his seat, his tea waiting for him. Daniel then reached into his coat, pulling out a small bag of powder, dipping it into the already made tea. Why? Frankly he hated tea alone but he found a herb which, when added to pipping hot tea, made it taste excellent. After doing this for a moment, he began to sip his tea while reading his book yet again.

"Of course, why would I lie?" Asked May as she tilted her head in confusion.
"You didn't hurt her did you?" May asked in concern when Yuki revealed that the Fox had been about to attack him. If it had she couldn't blame him for acting in self defence, thought she would feel sorry for the poor fox cub.
May paused for a second, wondering what she would like drawn. It was easy for her to freeze a moment in time to remember, but somehow his drawings seemed....special. Like they captured something that was beyond her sensors range.
Picking up the slight sounds of one of Flagenza's chicks sneaking up on her May abruptly whirled around in the blink of an eye and pointed at it. "That feathery creature, it seems..." she paused again searching for an aporperate word. Cute and adorable seemed like options but finally she settled on "...fluffy. Perhaps you could draw it for me" she asked
Bending down she slowly and tentatively reached out a hand towards the chick as if to pet it.

Feeling sparks of electricity flow into her arm the usually stonic May did something strange....she giggled. After all It felt to her almost as if the chick was trying to tickle her arm.
Reaching out her other hand she gently stroked the chicks feathers affectionately. She had a certain fondness for creatures like this, simply becuse they did not seem to judge her for being different the same way some humans unknowingly did
"Strange, I was unaware that this species of animal could produce electrical bursts. Is it related to an eel?" She asked Flagenza a light laugh still evident in her voice

Seeing Death's little "entrance" and his ensuing actions, Yuki let out a nervous laugh. Well, that was... different. he figured. And by different I mean weird as hell. Turning back towards may, Yuki watched the chick shoot of sparks, and instinctively flinched backwards. So much for cute and cuddly, he thought. "To answer your question, no, I didn't hurt her. I was actually going to find a quiet place to eat the lunch I packed, but I gave it to them instead. And apparently, foxes really do love kitsune udon." He picked up his pencil and set the pad on the table, turned to a blank page. "So, the chick, right? Would you like it with or without the sparks in the picture?" he joked.
