I've seen previews for Tim Burton's new movie, 9, and I cannot wait for it to come out. It sorta has a post-apocalyptic steampunk feel to it, lots of strange constructed monsters and interesting machines, and crumbling, broken buildings.
(edited due to the fact that there is another movie called Nine coming out this year as well.)

Yeah, I think it's set in the 1800s, or at least the visual style is similar to those times. The dolls feel quite steampunky, and the bad guys are damn scary.

I'm extremely excited for this movie. It's based off of a short who's name escapes me. I think it's like "Herr Drossylmier's Dolls" or something. I haven't seen the short yet, but I want to.
Plus, the preview has "Welcome Home" by Coheed&Cambria playing, which makes it seem even more bad-a**.

I went on youtube and watched the short film that Nine is based on. It's called Nine (or 9) and it's by Shane Acker. It was really good. I also went on Wikipedia for more info on the short film and the upcoming movie, and (possible spoiler) apparently it's set in post-WWI Germany. I can't wait for the movie to come out, and I think I'm gonna try my hand at making my very own 9 plushie.

Erm... problem. I recently saw a preview for a film called Nine. It is apparently based on a Broadway somethingorother. Not that interesting to me, as I don't do musicals. What we are discussing is the Shane Acker film, 9 (as in the numeral), yes? Now that, I want to see! But these two coupled with District 9 should make a very confusing time at the movies.

And yeah, I defy anyone to walk up to the counter and ask for a ticket for one of those three movies and get the one they're looking for right off the back. Fun for the box office, that's for sure.

Oh no, I DO work box office at the theater. This is going to be just dandy fun trying to sort out since half the people don't know what their seeing anyway ("Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" became "My Dead Girlfriend", "Public Enemies" is "that Dillinger movie" and "Funny People" has become "oh what the hell were we seeing, that stupid Adam Sandler movie")

Wow, you know I had heard about that but thought nothing more of it. After seeing that trailer, I mean wow. That looks like it should have been cast as one of the must see films this year.
