Outline: The year is 1485. For centuries, vampires have been the center of many horror stories. Seemingly immortal beings who feast upon the blood of human beings in the dead of the night, able to turn into bats and fly off or blend in with the shadows and disappear at the first sign of danger. Such talk has been dismissed as ravings of madmen and lunatics, but those who venture too deep in researching these children of the night seem to mysteriously vanish, deemed "heretics" to the public by the Church and in some cases are publicly executed or burned at the stake. In reality, vampires in indeed very real, but are not the fearsome man hunters they are feared to be. Theirs is a curse not asked for, and in order to continue to live and find a way to become normal, they must don the mantle of both hunter and hunted and forge small pockets of society in a world completely against them.


A vampire leader by the name of Roland D'Vorchis has executed a masterful plan that involves the stealing of the Holy Grail, believing it to be the source of a cure for the vampire's curse, a way to finally change them back into the humans they long to be again. Assaulting the Vatican itself in a suicide mission, Roland and his forces encountered the Church's sect completely devoted to hunting vampires. They'd been set up, a trap most ingeniously sprung. His unit nearly completely wiped out, Roland's last words before being beheaded and staked were that they would find a way. His corpse was burned, and the whole incident hidden from the public.


Fast forward to 2009. Vampires exist all over the world, still hunted and at large by those who know they truly exist. Victims of a vampire bite are revealed only as "bites from a madman", and all are killed secretly by the church and government to prevent another from joining the ranks of the "undead". Most vampires have given up hope of finding a way to end their suffering, and go about attempting to live as much of a normal life as they can.

1. This is intended to be for mature audiences I guess. It takes place in New York City during the middle of the winter. Christmas is still weeks away, but the city is still a little busier than normal.
3. Romance, action, make this whatever you want I guess. Just don't ******** it up for everyone else.
4. No god moding, even if you are a vampire. You're killable, buddy. Get over it.
5. Don't kill off anyone else without permission first.
