The large battlefield sitting before the fighters was custom designed for this battle. The entire battlefield is actually built into a giant bridge over a large spiked pit. The spikes themselves are poisoned and many rats litter the bottom of it looking for a meal. The bridge itself is made out of solid stone and is nicely decorated with statues at both ends. The statues are of Chaos standing on top of Masamune, engraved within the base of the statue it reads "This arena brought to you by Masamune's check book."

This being a Jounin exam lethal force is not authorized however throwing your opponent over the side of the bridge is permitted.

Shin entered the battle field equiped with one weapons pouch on his right thigh and another weapons pouch strapped around his waist. His locks tied tight into a tail to keep from interfering with his eyesight, thanks to his headband. He turned his head to the right and then to the left as he examined the environment that him and Haour were to do battle in. Hmm, two earth ninja on a stone bridge over a pit of spikes..that's dangerous. He said to himself. "My move? I don't know what my move is. But I hope your move isn't what I think it is Haour." Shin placed his hand into his weapons pouch and pulled out three shuriken stars and hurled them at Haour. After that he just pulled out one kunai and waited patiently to see what he was going to do next . But Most likely Haour will either dodge the kunai or deflect them.

Shin easily knelt down as well and quickly reached into his weapons pouch with his free hand and shot another shuriken that met Haours Kunai Half way before it came close enough to do any harm. So as the two pieces of metal flew towards each other there was a loud "Clank" sound that echoed. Shin was watching Haour intently on what he was doing, he had to be on his toes going up against one of the ketshuai prodigies. So a reckless mistake was out of the question. A thought suddenly came across Shins mind as he knelt back up from his crouching position. He did one hand seal, what could that mean? Hmmm he must be performing something that does not require a lot of chakra but then again.... Shin took a deep breath and and placed the kunai in his hand to his mouth. He then performed three simple hands seals consisting of the: Boar, Snake, boar and took the kunai back out of his mouth. "eh, what'cha doing?" he said to Harou. Shin just felt like starting a conversation with his opponent to keep the energy flowing so they wouldn't be bored.

By the peak of Shins eye he had just finally notice that there was a explosive tag attached to the kunai knife that Harou had launched at him. His eyes widen and his life flashed before his very eyes as there was a loud "boom!" that echoed through out the area followed by a mixture of fire and smoke. Yes Shin did go flying high off the edge of the arena but he wasn't going to go down that easily. As he sailed through air he reached into his pouch and pulled yet another kunai out but this kunai had thin metal wire tied tightly on the circular loop. With great force He lunched the metal tool at the Chaos and Masamune statue at his end of the bridge, aiming for chaos's head. It was a direct hit and the knife dug its self deep into the head. As it did Shin yanked as hard as he can and pulled himself back to the bridge. It was like He was a human Yoyo or paddle ball. This was definitely quick thinking on Shins part. But besides being blown into the air Shin was okay for the most part besides his ears ringing and a few burns here and there on his arms. But he'll be able to managed. "Thats what you were doing, you planned to blow me off the bridge so I will fall into that pit of spikes. How cruel of you Harou, very cruel of you."

Shin was blasted yet again but instead of slamming into the wall back first he landed on his feet and stuck to the wall, but he only stood there for a second. Using the momentum of flying towards the wall he gathered chakra to his feet and bounced off the wall launching him self straight through the smoke until he came into view of Harou. Shin threw the kunai in his hand he had earlier followed by a kunai with an explosive tag attached to it. The kunai exploded thus resulting in a big fiery explosion headed towards Harou. This gave the cover for Shin to throw three shuriken stars behind the explosion. Seeing as though it will be difficult for Harou to see where the Shuriken would come from because of the thick smoke. Now all shin could do is wait to see if his plan was a success or not, but he made sure to stay alert though.

Before the explosion had went off shin landed on the ground and slammed his hands hard on it and activated his jutsu he had set earlier. "Earth dome!" A thick sturdy dome of stone quickly rose from the ground protecting Shin's whole body from the blast and interrupting Harou's attempt at sending him at the edge of the bridge. As the smoke cleared shins technique had done its purpose and he was revealed to be fine. He did several hand seals and paused at the snake seal and then with the ram followed by the ox and began to slowly walk towards Harou.

Shin continued to cautiously walk across the bridge staring Harou in the eyes. He was getting closer and closer by ever step. But in reality Shin was only several feet away from him. Once eye contact was made with harou this advanced Genjutsu took effect. What this will do is allow Shin to penetrate through the user’s mind(as any Genjutsu) and display the world/environment as it is, except with one change. Harou, who is the victim of this Jutsu will suddenly see everything slowly, as if time has slowed to a crawl. Harou will only be able to move at a very slow pace since he has been caught in his own mind while Shin is moving at full speed. Therefore giving Shin the chance to pummel his opponent in different places. Because this Genjutsu tricks the opponent’s mind into thinking everything around them is going slower and they are going slower, in the real world they will be moving at that same slow pace because that is how they’re body is reacting to the Genjutsu. He called it "Time warp,"a genjutsu/doujutsu technique he developed that was inspired by Westly. Shin reached into his pouch and threw a Kunai aiming it for Haour's shoulder but in turn will end the genjutsu.

"Hmm!?" was all shin said as the explosion went off. There was a reason why there was a pause in the last set of seals he had performed earlier. Indeed the explosion went off but Shin had replaced him self with a blue blank scroll that he had in his weapons pouch that was on his waist. Shin knew that Harou was trying to throw him off the bridge but Shin was already hip to that plan the moment he did it the first time. But the downside to this was that Shin was right back were he started putting distance between the two shinobi yet again.You've push now its my turn to push back. he said to himself as he made the ram seal "Earth clone." One earth clone emerged from the ground in front of shin. He then slapped three bomb tags on the back of the clone. The mental connection he had with the copy already knew what Shin wanted it to do so it just melted back into the ground. As the smoke cleared Shin could see the stained crimson blood on Harou's arm. Shin also notice that Harou was using one of the Ketshuai techniques, a difficult one to boot that requires a lot of chakra to hold. Shin himself used a considerable amount of Chakra. But He still has a few aces in the hole and some aces to back those aces that fail. "
