The large battlefield sitting before the fighters was custom designed for this battle. The entire battlefield is actually built into a large cemetery tributed to all the ninja who have died fighting in the name of Gaioh. Grave stones litter the entire battlefield, a few open holes in front of a few, and a fountain sits in the middle with a statue squirting water out in the middle. The statues are of Chaos standing on top of Masamune, with water leaking out of Masamune's mouth, engraved within the base of the statue it reads "This arena brought to you by Masamune's check book."

This being a Chunnin exam lethal force is not authorized.

It was just as Pyroka predicted. Now walking through the arena door was Kobushi Kusari. On his back, he appeared to be carrying a large barrel, presumingly filled to the rim with back powder. Dropping the heavy barrel to the ground and grabbing ahold his odd weapon of choice, his shovel, the boy faced Pyroka and said, "So I'm goin' againts you first. Heh. Shall we start?"

ACTUAL lightning will ignite anything capable of igniting. A bolt of lightning doesn't actually do much damage by electrocution, it superheats the air around it causing an explosion as the superheated air rapidly expands. Between the concussive force and the heat, the damage is the same as a bomb going off.

As for Lightning Jutsu, I have nothing to say one way or another on the subject of how Lightning Jutsu work, and make no claims to any knowledge on the subject. Don't expect real-world physics to be helpful or relevant, but there it is for reference, at least.

Seeing as his first attack missed Pyroka decided to retreat and regroup. Breaking out in a run towards the distant side of the field, He began rummaging through his pockets. Damn, where is it? I know it's here somewhere. I swear if it fell out on the way here I'm going to. There it is Grabbing what he was looking for, He swung his arm backward and let it fly. Performing a handseal, the object Lit up with a blinding light. With his opponent distracted he took his position Behind a gravestone.

now's my chance Pyroka through one of his nearly patented Electric Kunai. When it started discharging He performed a few handseals and Summoned a clone. "Get close to him and hold him down. He can't see so it should be easy. No matter what stop him from moving. Understood?" He whispered in order not to be heard

"Yes. I'll stop him from moving" And with that the Clone was off towards his target taking light steps so as not to be heard. Once close enough to the target The clone attempted to grab Kobushi.

The clone took the helmet to the face and continued to hold on. Even after Kobushi fell on him he continued to hold on.

Alright I have him now Pyroka preformed more handseals. The clone then began to sprout more arms and hands and began wrapping around Kobushi. At this point Pyroka ran from his spot towards Kobushi. If his plan worked he would win his match and move on to the next round.
