It was a beautiful land, Merlandus. The land was covered by soft green and golden grass that danced along with the warm breeze. Majestic oaks cluttered together in several areas, not fearing that someone would cut them down. Woodland creatures that closely resembled ours flitted about, filling the air with their ceaseless chatter.
Glittering blue rivers, streams and lakes rippled peacefully, reflecting the sun's golden glow.
It was a land of magic and enchantment. Wizards and witches fluttered about in the small towns, purchasing items and chatting with friends and family. Sorcerers hid in their grand mansions, their noses deep in their books.
Occasionally, a human would visit from Agnia looking for some advice or looking to purchase some local potions. Eventually, those with magical powers began to settle amongst the humans, both living peacefully with each other. There was even intermarriage between the two races; though children were rare. Those who survived through their infant stage grew up with some magical abilities. They weren't as powerful as the original witches and wizards, but they were able to perform simple tasks such as household spells and various potions and charms.
Even elves visited the two, but rarely. They mostly came to discuss political matters between the races and sometimes to sell elven-made crafts. Some of the humans were fascinated by the elves; by how similar yet different they were to the humans. There was a bit of romance between the two races, but non of it lasted long. The elves found the humans too simple compared to their own historical background and intellect.
Besides the occasional conflict between the different races, but these arguments were never violent. However it soon began to change as a mysterious shadow fell upon the lands. People from all races were disappearing. Sometimes the bodies would be found in a forest or near one of the lakes, emaciated.
What is going on? The one question that was burned in everybody’s mind.
Their questions were soon answered. Several months after the disappearances, a small human town was raided and burned to the ground. Those who resisted were immediately whipped to death, skinned and then nailed to the town’s main gate, their bodies feeding the crows.
Her given name was Beltose, but she commanded all to call her The Holy Guardian, The Watcher or The Protector of the Pure. She believed that the world needed to be cleansed of all harmful entities. Those who did not possess full magical abilities were to be slaughtered, she would proclaim every morning. Any form of resistance would be destroyed immediately and effectively.
At first, there were few that dared to revolt, considering that she had the dragons on her side. However, later, several dragons began to leave and join the other side for unknown reasons. They fought along the few against Beltose, befriending only those with magical potential. Those who were befriended by the dragons had to undergo severe and strict training in order to completely join their companion mentally. The ones that could not take having such a foreign intrusion in their mind either died of shock or went completely insane. Those who were able to fully mentally meld with their dragon experienced a slight increase in their agility, strength and magic.
The dragons themselves experienced a physical change as well. They no longer took on a physical form, but instead began to shimmer away into a silvery mist. In the end, they vanished completely. At first, those that had a dragon partner were completely horrified at the sudden loss of their friend. However, they still felt the thin thread between their own mind and that of their dragon. They soon found out that the dragons could not exist physically until summoned by the one they were linked to. Until the dragons were summoned, they were to remain in some strange space with no definite time, though they were able to communicate with their link.
Rules: Do not kill anybody off unless of their consent or if it is one of Beltose’s small minions.

Sounds like a pretty sweet role to me~ (lol it wasn't even mentioned xDD; BUT I WANT IT)
erm...if I CAN be the assistant, is there anything specific I need to put into the character creation? Like race and what role this is and gender and junk???
(and after you tell me you can delete this ^-^;; I just want to know if I can be TEH ASSISTANT)
