General Questions:
What/who is "Phil?"
We refer to The Philanthropists' Society Charity as "Phil" because it's such a long name.
Why can I only have 4 donations?
Because, our goal is to help as many as we can. We may help your a quest in a big way, or a little way. But we want to be able to help everyone.
Can I affiliate my quest/art shop thread with Phil?
Yes! Just PM the Philanthropists_Society account with your link/banner.
Can I affiliate my charity thread with Phil?
Ok, this may sound harsh/mean/unfair, but Phil is slightly more selective about which charities we affiliate with. We will only affiliate with charities similar to our own. Charities that have no restrictions, no requirements, or are unique in the way they give. You may, however, advertise your charity here.
I asked for a donation and never got one. Why?
We fill out all requests as soon as we see them. This may take a couple days but never longer than a week unless Eowyyn is away. If it has been a really long while, you can try asking again. If you still do not receive one, then we suspect you of using a mule and/or are trying to scam us. You may PM us if our suspicions are incorrect.
Benefactor Questions:
What is a Benefactor?
A Benefactor is any Gaian that helps us or donates significantly to us, without making a commitment.
...How much is "significant?"
At least 1,000g or whatever staff thinks is worthy of "Benefactor" status.
How can I donate and become a Benefactor/remain anonymous?
Just send your donation of at least 1,000g and a PM if you wish to remain anonymous.
How can I sponsor a contest through Phil?
With Phil as the "host", you can sponsor a contest. The contest can be of your choosing (i.e. avi art contest, tektek contest, profile contest, roll the dice contest etc..) You would supply the prizes and be/hire judges. Phil would simply advertise it in the thread.
Staff Questions:
How can I become Staff?
We're always open to accepting staff, so long as you fit what we need.
The surest way to become staff is, to put it bluntly: be rich, be done questing, and have time to spend in the charity.
If you provide some sort of service that would benefit Phil monetarily, or if you are a good artist, we can also use you.
Though if you feel your talents can help us, please PM the mule.
Guild Questions:
Can I become crew of this guild?
Sorry, no. Only Staff can be crew.
