i posted this in the debate subforum but then i thought it'd be read more in the main one. hope that's okay.
a man's boat capsizes in the middle of a lake. A fishing boat drives by and the driver says "I'll help you! Get on!"
The man replied, "No, I believe God will save me." So the boat rode away. Two more boats came by with the same result.
The man drowned.
When the man got to heaven he asked God, "Why didn't you save me? I prayed and believed you would!"
God said, "Dude! I sent you three boats!"
I thought that would be a good way to start this thread off. Anyone hear about the guy whose daughter was severely diabetic but he just kept her home and prayed and said taking her to the hospital was against God's will.
I thought God put doctors on this earth so we could get help for our illnesses! One of this guy's arguments was "Jesus didn't go to the doctor." How do you know? Got put doctors on this earth so we could cure our sicknesses. Not to have a young girl's life cut short. The daughter was only 11.
Anyone else has an opinion on it?
