Er....I do.
I noticed the guild name changed too. xD I am learning Chinese, but I have been studying Japanese for quite some time now I would be willing to help out with that (well, that's what I do at the other language guild anyway), but my primary concern here is learning and being able to use Chinese. xD

xD I'm an American too, but I have spent time in Japan last year studying.
The book I am using to learn Chinese now is getting ridiculous because it is a) All in Japanese using Japanese grammar forms to explain the grammar for Mandarin, b) Japanese grammar is mostly backwards from Mandarin (and English), c) There's a TON of nuances mentioned in the later chapters that I don't completely understand (mostly because I am too lazy to look up some Japanese characters to understand the explainations, xD) , and there are verbs in mandarin (particularly 要 [yao]) that mean four DIFFERENT grammatical forms in Japanese XD. That is why I have my Chinese to English dictionary to look up stuff. xD
Bonus versus an English book teaching mandarin: The characters are very similar to each other sometimes or the pronunciation is very similar (despite Japanese having less possible sounds than both English and Chinese).
Other than that.....been working on backing up stuff before I fix one of my external harddrives.
