Personality:

Yatsufusa is considered an extremely laid back person. He rather lay out on a grassy field then charge into a battlefield. He can be considered a bit of a dual personality. The image he projects to others is seldom who he is at the moment.

Yatsufasa has long black hair which he usually lets down but pulls it back when he has to tough tasks. He is not a very large man in both height and build. His eyes are a piercing amber. He wears the Shinigami uniform a size bigger so that his has baggy sleeves that leave plenty of room for various things. His haori is plain and unaltered. He usually drapes it over his shoulder.

Zanpakutō Name: Kobankata Renge(Elliptical Lotus)

Sealed Form: Kobankata Renge is a twin Wakizashi of the twin class that are no longer than 15 inches long. The guards are simple oval guards that are rather plain. Each of the Wakizashi are sheathed in one white the other black. They also have unusually long hilts for Wakizahi.

Zanpakutō Sprit:
The Spirits of Kobankata Renge are the twins Hikarikageyaku and his brother Kikkyou. They act as a manifestation of duality as they can usually can be materialized with one you can view with the naked eye unless near a reflective surface in which the other would appear in it.

Hikarikageyaku is considered the manifestation of light and is only able to manifest in the light of day. Considered the more cooperative of the two he seems to try and push Yatsufusa to a more active approuch to life even going as far as to try and push more responsibility on him. He is also considered the more reliable of the two. Is considered the reflection of Kikkyou.

Kikkyou is considered the manifestation of shadows and is only able to manifest in the shadow of moonlight. Considered the less cooperative of the two he seems to try and convince Yatsufusa to take the easier road. Kikkyou wields the greater influence over Yatsufusa appeal to his docile nature. Is considered the reflection of Hikarikageyaku.

The world within the Zanpakutō of the twins is a land of everlasting twilight in which the moon and sun are both rising and setting. The world is covered in water with black and white lotus in full bloom.

Info: Upon release the blade itself melts away leaving behind nothing but the hilt. The blade can be formed by gathering light. The brighter the light the sharper and more powerful the forming blade becomes.
Ability:
Yureru hono'o no Kirameki (Flash Flare)- By tilting the blade a blinding flash of light is created. The flash is so blinding that it can stun those who do not protect their eyes and temporarily blind others.

Name: Kikkyou Renge (Shadow Lotus)
Command: Ten ga Oodan Shita (Transverse the Kingdom of Heaven)

Info: Upon release the blade melts away leaving behind nothing but the hilt. The blade can be reformed from shadows the greater the shadow the more powerful the blade.
Ability: Kage no Yureru Hono'o (Shadow Flare) – By motioning the hilt as if using a sword blade will form in a shadow mimicking the motion.

Name: Renge no Mugen Wa Shita (Infinitely Looping Lotus)
Type:Twin Zanpakutō
Attribute: Light and Dark
Range: close (0m ~ 5m) mid (5m~10m) large (10m+)
Info: Once released an complex circular design forms behind Yatsufusa. The left half of the design is white and right black with the two mixing and crossing at the middle. Of his left should sits a black guard and on the right a white the guard extends most of the length of the arms excluding the forearm down. A black and white sash appears around his waist with the white end falling to his left side and the black to the right. Similar to that wore by the spirits of the Zanpaktou.


Name: Mugen Kikkyou Renge (Infinite Shadow Lotus)
Command: Eien ga Hana Sakimasu (Blossom eterninally)

Info: Takes the form of a white gauntlet able to create up to 5 blades from shadows, which are controlled telekinetically, The larger the shadow the more powerful the blade.
Ability:
Kage no Yureru Hono'o (Shadow Flare) – By motioning as if using a sword blade will form in shadows mimicking the motion.
Kagemusha (Shadow Warrior) – When used the user's own shadow will separate from under him/her. The shadow can be divided into 5 parts and moved freely.

Info: Takes the form of a black gauntlet. Able to create up to 5 blades from light, which are controlled telekinetically, the brighter the light the sharper the edge.
Ability:
Yureru hono'o no Kirameki (Flash Flare) - By tilting of the blades a blinding flash of light is created. The flash is so blinding that it can stun those who do not protect their eyes and temporarily blind others.
Yokou (Lingering light) - a unique form of movement. The user is able to move between the blades of light at intense speed greater than Shunpō with as if taking a step though through the light. while transitioning between the blades of light the user is unable to attack.



Secrets:
Yatsufusa does not like it known that he has twin Zanpakutōand he usually hides both of his wakazhi in his sleeves. Since he uses his right hand most regularly the white sheathed Zanpakutō is in the left sleave and the black in the right. Very few people know of his second Zanpakutō and fewer still have actually seen him wield both at the same time.

Another of Yatsufusa's secrets is that his right side, though able to generate more power is slower than his left which is able to perform fast movements with ease.

History:
Yatsufusa in his younger days was characterized by the credo “Marginal at best.” His days her spent frantically trying to keep up with the others and in the end he graduated in what could be described as “the middle” of his class. It would seem that the only thing he was descent at was Kidō.

Upon his entry into squad 9 there was an accident that occurred in private. One night as he was returning home dropped his Zanpakutō and as the black and white sheath hit the ground it split down the middle. Yatsufusa was in shock. He paced around for a second trying to figure out how to fix his but as he reached down to pick up the pieces something strange happened. The actual katana itself slip in two with each half laying in a half of the sheath, but before Yatsufusa had the chance to ponder the conundrum he heard voices and so he scooped the two halves and ran off.

When he returned home he laid the two halves on his bed and was almost driven to madness as he pondered what to do, but before he can start pulling out his own hair it happened. The black half of the sheath began to stretch around the thin blade and at the same time the white sheath did the same till what stood before him was two separate Zanpakutō. He stared at the matching pair one white and the other black. He reached for the white one first. The guard was still the same rectangular shape with a dull plain design but as he drew the blade it was black with a white edge. He then did the same with the black one to find that it was white with a black edge. Unsure what to take of it all he stood up all night with both blades in hand.

When the sun rose and he had to leave he grabbed hold of the white sheath and ran out the door. Since that day if Yatsufusa had to have one of his Zanpakutō visible he always wore the white one.

Later as Yatsufusa’s rank within Squad 9 grew be began to wear a size larger uniform with custom baggy sleeves. He developed new mannerisms to hide the fact that he concealed both his Zanpakutō within his sleeves. He would raise his arms before he had to flex them allowing the Zanpakutō to slide and lock on to his back and when he wanted slide the Zanpakutō back into his sleeve he would first tap his shoulder unlocking the Zanpakutō. He played it off as limbering himself up and that he had muscle tension issues. Yatsufusa concealed his white Zanpakutō in his left sleeve and the black in his right.

Yatsufusa was in many ways a man of great mystery. Next to no one knew of his twin Zanpakutō let allow that he had learned its name shortly before climbing to the 5th seat in squad 9 after 10 long years. To his peer’s he had achieved his seat based on seer blind luck. All who had ever seen him fight saw him struggle till the very end in which he still ended up a little beaten but all his wounds were always superficial.

Yet again Yatsufusa held a great secret one stretching back to his old Academy days. He had joined the Shinigami Academy in the hopes of leading a better life but at the same time he did not want to have too much responsibility and so began his history of mediocre work but there was something always inside him that would never allow him to just brush off the skills that were to be learned. Instead he mastered them in secret and would only use the full extent of his abilities if it was a fight to the death and there were no spectators. The idea of his actual skill getting out terrified him a bit because he feared that more responsibility would be thrusted upon him.

Yatsufusa, like all who bare secrets, a time came in which he could no longer hide himself. That fateful battle long ago was the beginning of a new era. The enemy was too strong and it was simply no longer about his secret but the lives of those around him as they struggled. And as the battle reached what would have been the climax he reached with his left hand and drew out his other Zanpakutō.

In the grips of what seemed like certain defeat he cried out, “Ten ga Chooetsu Shita Hikarikageyaku Renge (Transcend the Kingdom of Heaven, Shinning Lotus).” And the blade of the Zanpakutō in his left hand disappeared. It confused everyone who looked on until a new blade formed from the guard, a blade of light.

Tilting Hikarikageyaku Renge produced a blinding flash of light which blinded the charging foe as he cried out, “Ten ga Oodan Shita Kikkyou Renge (Transverse the Kingdom of Heaven, Shadow Lotus),” and the blade of the Zanpakutō in his left hand too disappeared but this one did not reappear.

Instead again he tilted Hikarikageyaku Renge to create another blinding flash and as the light dimmed and shadow stretch he thrusted Kikkyou Renge into the shadow and from beneath the stunned foe a blade shot up and impaled it with a massive spike from the massive shadow.

The spectators were in awe at the mediocre wonder display skills far greater than what they had seen in the struggle only moments before. From that moment on Yatsufusa could no longer pass as the same person he once was. His rank grew steadily over the next year and before he knew it he was the Vice-Captain of Squad 9, and to his greatest fear he had way more responsibilities than he ever wanted.

Over the next 100 years Yatsufusa humbly did his duties but would always find time for his favorite activities. Then came the time when a position was made available among the captains and Yatsufusa’s name was suggested, but even though he did not want the position he was convinced and it was not as though he wasn’t qualified enough to be a captain.

Yatsufusa based all the requirements to become a captain and shortly he dawned the white haori of a Captain and again responsibility was dumped before him and like he did before he did a splendid job, despite the unusual number of breaks he would take in the day.
