What this is, is like an OOC of all the roleplays you've ever done. A big, just-for-fun, on-going RP without a plot. Well, it has the faint hint of a plot, but we'll take it from there.

Rules
1. Even though this is a really laid-back RP, there will be no god-modding. Why? Because this is for fun, and g-modding is not fun sad 2. No character profiles are needed, so don't PM any to me. Feel free to post without a profile, but if you really want to make one then you can put it in your posts. 3. All grammar and spelling rules in the guild reply, but posting less than the minimum is acceptable. Just have fun. 4. You don't have to post on a regular basis, just when you want. Though if the other people are enjoying themselves and want to move on without you, they are allowed to kill you off or g-mod your character out of the way so the story can continue. Long sentence end. 5. Building on rule 4, if your character is killed off by the other RPers but you still want to be in it, you can make another character. Or bring the other one back to life, within reason though and as a long as it makes sense. 6. You can have more than one character. 7. Your character can be whoever you want them to be. A samurai, clone, robot, or whatever. Even an anime character, but try not to make it cheesy for everyone sweatdrop

The Plot
I know I said there's no plot, but we need something to start us off:
It's the current year, current time, current everything but with a prehistoric twist. A large comet strikes the Earth, hitting America in the state of Minnesota. The effects are far-reaching and affects Manitoba, the Canadian province above Minnesota.
The comet is made up of alien properties, though, and it doesn't mix well with the life in the impacted area. For those who survived the initial blast, they find a new challenge to deal with. Some people's bodies reacted strangely to the comet, mutating and deforming into monstrosities. Some even gained powers which were thought impossible. What's worse, the U.S. and Canadian government worked jointly together to quarantine the mutated surivors within the impact zone, waiting until they kill each other off. What the government didn't count on though is that the comet would have similar effects on the wildlife in the area, like animals and plants. It hastened the evolutionary stages of most creatures, turning them into fiercesome beasts that make their predecessors pale in comparison.

Well, another fine day, the weather still all messed up due to the comet strike, and the forcast was wrong... again. This meant that the controlled outdoors tests were delayed another day. Hopefully there will be some time later this week that the tests can be run... I know I would not be saying this usually, but with the comet putting summer on hold, would just one day of sun be such a problem? Or maybe just half a day of sun, I still sumburn like an irish vampire. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day, perhaps we can get some tests results then.

From the ruins of of a minnesota small town, a girl rises from underneath her parents dead bodie. In a state of shock, she stumbles through the burned charred remains of their home and the neighborhood hoping to find something that isn't destroyed or mangled. In her mind, she wonders if this is all real...or if she is in hell. Alas, after a moment, she passes out on what use to be the front porch of their modest home.
Waking up, she finds herself near a lake, where, in the distance there is a boat where there seems to be a man inside. Her clothes are fairly worn, tired and smelling of must. She knows nothing more so than the pain of the sore muscles that twitch from sleep. It is a cold feeling...this thought that maybe all that she just saw was merely a dream. Though she can't remember...she can't even remember her own name.

Marcus awoke in a daze, he had been driving with his friends along the old Route 66, when out of nowhere, there was a massive explosion. He walked around, it seemed he flew pretty far when the explosion hit. As he walked, he found the twisted wreckage of what was once his car, along with the burnt carcasses of his friends. Strangely enough though, as he looked at a slightly cracked mirror that was once a part of his car, he had no severe injuries or mutations. In fact, it seemed he was virtually unharmed!
He looked at the charred remains of his friends, and began sobbing uncontrollably. He screamed at the heavens, shouting profusely until his voice was sore. "Why?! Why just me? Why couldn't I have just burnt to a crisp like the rest of them?! Answer me!!!" Then, in a fit of rage, he slammed his fists into the earth, resulting in a tremendous, although severely localized quake. Marcus looked at himself for a second, confused and bewildered at what he had done. Just what did that explosion do to him?

Jack was looking around the devastated forest, searching for his arm. The comet had struck and he remembered he had been in a cabin at the time of its impact. When he woke up, he found that both the cabin and his left arm were missing. Strangely, it felt as if his arm was still there. His wound, among others, pained him but whenever he tried to flex or do anything with his non-existent arm, it truely felt like it was there.
"Son of a b***h, where'd you go?" Jack said. Suddenly, he felt a tremor that knocked him over. He thought another comet hit but there weren't any fireworks like before. He followed it to its source where he surprisingly found a man.
"Hey," Jack said, staring at him.
(((Just something to get it moving.)))

Eyes that had once been a deep ocean blue, opened, now showing they were a shocking electric blue color. Confusion and curiosity filled these eyes as the owner of them stood up, mortally wounded, but seemed to feel none of the pain. “What in God’s name happened?” A young female’s voice asked to the wind. She looked around herself and saw the devastation; shock now taking place of the confusion. “Oh my…” She couldn’t finish her sentence. For the first time in her life, Anya was speechless. She stumbled forward, falling onto her knees. Mom! Dad! She thought, now growing nervous and scared. She got up from where she was and looked around, seeing the skeleton that had once been her father’s pick up. The thing that scared her the most was that she didn’t even see the bodies of her mother and father. Tears formed in her eyes then traveled down her face. “No….no!” She cried out and what appeared to be light blue lightning flashed across the sky.
Still weeping lightly, Anya was walking around, not even sure if anyone was alive besides her. The oddly colored lightning would flash in the sky every now and then when she sobbed a bit harder. Her long black hair was blown to the side a bit by a light wind. Squinting her eyes, she saw two figures in the distance. I’m…I’m not alone. She thought. This thought made her smile as she hurried her pace a little to try and reach the figures.

Marcus looked at the man, who had called out to him. "You another survivor?" he asked. the man nodded. "Well then, let's get going..." Time passed, the two men came across the outskirts of what was once a small town. The man suggested that they try to scrounge up whatever supplies they could find. As they approached the town, strange blue lightning flashed across the sky, yet there was not a cloud in sight.
Marcus took out a small pair of binoculars that he had in his pocket. One of the lenses was busted, but he could at least use the other one. He looked at the remains of what he thought was a residential district, and to his surprise, there was a little girl sitting in the wreckage of a small house. "Come on!" Marcus shouted as he began sliding down a slope towards the house, carefully stepping over the melted remains of a chain-link fence. The girl must've seen them now, as she began to walk towards them. "Are you alright?" Marcus called out to her.

Shaking the heaviness of sleep off of her body, the girl crawled toward the boat. Her voice called toward him; hoarse and broken, it seemed like it couldn't reach the figure or her voice wasn't carrying. The wind blew heat into her face, warming the dry throat of hers again making it burn in pain. It felt like a sore throat...a horrible stinging pain that send shivers down her body as she swallowed air. "Hhhhhh..." Coughs choked her as she collapsed back onto the muddy grounds below; weak, she no longer moved. She only watched as the ripples gently touched her feet.
On the boat the young man was slumped over an old cooler; he was sleeping after spending three hours fishing for the nights food. The water was warmer than normal but not all the fish had died yet fortunately. The sudden crash brought hell on to their world. It seemed all would have to go to how it was in the older days...to the fittest surviving.

Anya had been relieved when she saw the two figures come towards her. She had stopped walking, letting them close the short distance that now remained between them. When one of them came over she smiled lightly to him. “Yes…I believe I’m all right.” She said to him, though she was obviously in a little bit of the pain. The strange lightning had stopped streaking across the sky when she had grown happy as she saw them get closer to her. “Tell me…do you know what just happened?” She asked both of them. Her bright blue eyes looked at them. Anya was a young girl of about the age of 16, though her slightly baggy clothing concealed the figure that she had. “Oh…how rude of me. I’m Anya, Anya DeLerose.” She said to them. “Who are you?” She was still a bit shaken from what had happened, whatever it was, and she had wondered where the lightning had come from and why it had just suddenly stopped. Oh well…one question at a time. she thought.

Ooc: Okay, so there's like 8 posts and although it's not long, I'm lazy and don't want to read it. Can someone give me a quick idea as to what is going on?
