I live in Ecuador but I see that some events are Wi-fi............ how do I get the event pkmn? confused

Well, I haven't heard of any events being held in South America as of yet, so you'll have to check Serebii.Net to find out.

WiFi events are only available to certain countries, or certain language versions of the games. Like the Member's Pass event right now is only open to North America and Australia, while the NZ Jirachi from a few weeks ago was available to all Japanese DPPt games, regardless of their IP location. To see if any events are open to you, I'd suggest checking your local official Pokémon site (like North America's Pokemon.com and Japan's Pokemon.co.jp). 3nodding
And in order to get the Pokémon/items themselves, should an event be open to you, you must have Mystery Gift enabled. If you do, then on the start up menu (which comes up after the title screen), just select the "Mystery Gift" option > Get a Gift (or whatever it says) > Nintendo WFC.

As long as you have wi-fi, and the Mystery Gift option you should have access to said events. For instance, I'm mexican and I just got the Member Card for my Platinum... I think the only thing important is the language of the game, since I also got a NZ Jirachi from a japanese Platinum when the event was still running.

I do have an American Platinum (sister got it for me ^^) so i just go to a Wi-fi area and open the mystery gift>receive gift and i got it? :/

You will, though, have to go to a PokéMart in-game to actually receive the item/Pokémon.

Go to Jubilife City and go to the TV Station on the 3rd floor, there will be a man that seems he is talking to the Beauty Trainer.Talk to him and he will ask you a couple of questions. The words are Everyone+Happy on the first question and then.... Wi-Fi+Connection on the second one..
