It rtuley depends for me, But I prefer paperback... Its cheaper, and I can read it in bed much easier than hardback, easier to travel with, less noticable so no one will steal it if you are traveling.
Hardback just becuse it looks cool and feels nice.

I prefer hardback books because they are much more durable, and I'm the kind of person who likes to take care of my books.

I like paperback better mainly because they're cheaper and smaller. Although, the feel of a hardcover book is really nice, cause they're so durable.
Also, the Lockwood covers do come in hardcover, they're just harder to find now. I have a couple of them.

That's because you've got a dog who chews up remotes for fun and your locker's a disgrace where you couldn't even find the Mole People, let alone a book.

Your dog needed some guidance. ninja
Um, I actually prefer getting the omnibuses in hardback and single books in paperback. I got The Dark Elf Trilogy and The Icewind Dale Trilogy from my neighbor...jeez....7? year ago 8? something like that and they were hardback. I like hardback omnibuses. 3nodding Hardbacks tend to survive in my bag/backpack/purse....unless I put the books in a plastic bag like I used to do.
Only omnibuses that are paperback are Legacy of the Drow and The Cleric Quintet. I couldn't find hardbacks for either.

I just started reading those books last year, I was walking around my school library and there they were. They were the lockwood paper back. The good thing about these though were teh covers were laminated so they didn't get destroyed... my four books that I bought, are not in the best condition and I bought them in a collectors box. sweatdrop

I was surprised at the condition my paperback books were deteriorating, particularly Paths Of Darkness. I have a whole corner of the front cover gone and the other corner's all bent up. I've never had that much damage to a book...
As you can tell, I keep my books very nice. razz

It's a big floppy book, that can't keep it's balance when you hold it... Of course it's going to end up in bad condition stare Still say you should have bought the books seperate, much easier to carry while in school...

I always buy paperback if I can, because it's cheaper, and because I travel around so much, I can stuff more paperback books into my belongings.

I've had my paperbacks for several years now. They've gone through several rereads, especially the first trilogy. They've been out in the middle of the desert, been in the middle of Ontario Woods, been in the middle of a lake during a thunderstorm.
And looking at them, only real damage is that that the spine looks all crinkly. I think they're plenty durable enough 3nodding
