This is a place to post your plan for when the zombie apocalypse comes! Here you'll get critiques, tips, and I'll answer your questions while reading from the ZSG and thinking like a mastermind! 8D
So have fun with it! But be safe, don't get yourself killed out there.
Here's my plan:
First, if the infection isn't bad or in my area at all yet, I'm going to go down to Lowe's for some reinforcing supplies. I'll pick up wood, nails, screws, hammers, screwdrivers, crowbars, gasoline, and anything else I see necessary to survival. Then it's off to Wal-Mart for food and guns! (Parents needed here. Damn my age.)
After we (Meaning my group) go there, then I'm immediately going down to Staples, where they have reinforced steel shutters that can keep anything and anyone out. As soon as the infection starts, most likely people will flee, or let us in and close the shutters as we will convince them so.
So then we just wait it out, and my backup plan would be to drive through the streets to my local mall. It has everything. The good thing is? I know where these places are, I now my way around them, and I can walk to them if necessary.
My weapons of choice are:
Melee: Crowbar, Axe, or Bat (Frying Pan if necessary LOL)
Long Ranged: (Preferred a sniper, but seeing as that is hard to get...) A crossbow, or my grandfather's rifles.
Medium Range: A shotgun if possible, my dad is great with guns and has a huge array. Other than that I have a bow and some nice purple arrows. xD
Explosives: I can make Molotovs, Pipe bombs, flashbangs, and napalm. Good enough? (If you want to learn to make things of this sort, read the Anarchist's Cookbook!)
Other: I'm bringing a whole load of strong rope and duct tape. Not for us, but to trip zombies and possibly tie them up/tape them if possible. xD Hey, you never know!
As for food, I'm bringing bottled water, canned food, and beef jerky. I'm going to buy a bicycle generator for power and a portable water purifier for safety.

First of all i would pick a home base Which would most likely be my high school. It has 3 floors so in case there was some sort of a breach id have a fall back.
Next i would gather supplies depending on if the infection was bad or not i might have to raid my neighbors house (neighbors a gun fanatic). After that id get myself a quality vehicle i would get nails, screws, wood, and whatnot from a hardware store (either home depot or Lowes). Then i would raid Costco and Walmart to get food (particularly can foods and food that last a long time). I would also get lots of computers and CD's and stereos and what not from Best buy (DON'T JUDGE ME ID RATHER DIE THEN LIVE WITHOUT MUSIC). I would also get guns from Big 5, Walmart, Joes, and other places that would have them (I would also take any other weapons i could find at those places.)AND I WOULD GET GENERATORS not sure from where but i would. and bottled water.
After that i would make sure every floor of the highschool was properly stocked and that it was properly barricaded on the first floor. I would also make sure the 2nd and 3rd floors could be barricaded in seconds. If we ended up on the 3rd floor we wouldn't be trapped i would have found some son of a b***h who could fly a helicopter and stolen the one from the hospital xD.
The most important part of my plan though is id make sure my short friend Quinn was always near me so i could sacrific him if i had too xD
Long range weapon of choice: Machine gun (i unno what kind but my grandpa has some id take those xD)
Close range razz istol
Melee:KATANA i love those fricking swords (i would steal Quinn's he has alot.) If i could not obtain them id make something out of wood (when i was younger me and friend made tons of weapons out of wood, bamboo, and rocks and s**t)
Explosives: i have quite a bit of gun powder (i have tons of fireworks) im sure i could come up with something. xD
So that's pretty much my plan IT MAY SUCK but i like it. xD

when i get the call get the hell to Alpha randevou and secure weapons and hold up for a while. if alpha is over run the to brovoe and al the way to zulu, iff all are over run ever man for himself!
anyways i don't theyw ill be over run but we wait till post then fortafie the point, clear trees, build a ten footchain link fenct with serch lights and shoot anyhting that comes near the isn't human(well ift hey are attacking us then human too.)

You post all that and yet when the time arrives there isn't a thing you would do.
More like you panic and adrenaline kicks in to most likely cause your death.

The same most likely would happen to me. So I'm not boasting.
Anyways my plan would be to use my bass as a weapon if I happen to wake up and see zombies. Then head to the kitchen and take all the knives. If any of my family members are alive I would help them out and instruct them on what to do. Most likely my mom and sister would die. After that I would check if any of my friends are still alive. And then just try to survive. :3

my plan is so easy first i go to get supplys and then go into my garage
it can be nicly fortiyed with lots of weapons my favorite of course is the machete

In fact, I think I'd be one of the ONLY girls...
which sucks, since if there were like five girls and one guy,
you could have five babies in nine months.
As opposed to,
one girl and five guys,
just one baby in nine months.

Step 1: Listen for any and all reports about "people being severely mutilated", or similair reports and call up a group meeting of my most trusted allies and make a plan to survive the possible "Z-Day".
Step 2: After the infection has gone around (thanks to the hospitals, poor bastards) I will leave the premises of my safe house, keeping a lookout for any and all threats (i.e. bandits, wild animals, and of course zombies) and hit up some of the less used grocery stores and possibly hardware stores (hardware stores have some food and perfect melee weapons, and less likely to be crawling with zombies), and of course, staying away from any and all major cities, unless as a very very very last resort.
Step 3: After acquiring any and all necessary supplies, and having a few of my friends and close family safe and sound within my fortified house, I will ration food and only go out during the day and only when need be, and then I will just survive and not expect the government to help at all, because, well, why should they? You've all seen how fast our own government responds to disasters in our country.
Weapons of choice: Crowbar (perfect for prying doors open and quick kills)
2 Machetes (because blades don't need reloading)
And molotov cocktails (easy to make and they kill the infected properly)
Vehicle of choice: Bicycle (fast, easy, great work out, and easy to repair)
With all of that, I know I have a very good chance of surviving Z-Day.

I would listen to the news for large massacres or missing people and start saving up large rations and weapons (and entertainment systems don't want to be bored)then move to a house out of the city(with family) but close so to get anything I might have forgot in my rush. after all that see if any friends are still living and bring them to the hideout

This is assuming the zombies that are portrayed by Max Brooks the Shakespeare of zombie writers.
First, I would figure out if the zombie apocalypse was even that bad. Can the local police take care of it? If not then I would get a sturdy backpack and fill it with essentials: food, water, crowbar, rope, etc. I would then go to Wally World (Wal-Mart) and raid the bike section, since bikes are the lightest and easiest vehicle to drive without a driver's license. Making sure I had plenty of patches and inner tubes I would go raid the shoe section and get a decent few pairs of decent parkour shoes.
Second, I would ride around avoiding any zombie encounters until the zombies finally dwindled into nothingness, from survivors, the military, etc. Plus having a bike makes getting away much easier than having a car which forces you to get out and lose time while you climb over some rubble. Plus the rope and crowbar would definitely come in hand for restocking my food and water supply.
I think I would play it smart.

I would just gather all the supplies i see useful and take my pellet rifle,my garandpas rifle and my moms 9mm and start heading east with my friend to see if the infection has spreaded globally.
