Okay Im a Christian going to a Catholic School and to tell you the truth it sucks, why you ask well; in religion this past year my religion teacher would say that Catholics were the over all best religion of all time and would only descussion that we would foucus on in the class not any other religion. Which troubled me through the whole semester. Now I was a Freshman now heading into Sophmore year should I be acking questions about Christianity or stick to the topic of the Catholics?? It would be great if you guys can help me on this one. Thanks so much!

Do what God is telling you to do. I know it's hard to understand what God is telling you to do, but if you feel the need to ask about christianity, then go ahead and ask. Although I would do it in private first, with just you and the teacher.

Well it depends on what you mean? Like do you mean asking someone questions about God, then no thats not a sin. But doubting God is different, since in doubting God you are thinking he doesn't exist, or that he can't do certain things. I think that is more of a sin.

Yea, asking about God and what he means about things is fine, but questioning His exististence or authority, that would be asin, i believe mrgreen

If we doubt then we are letting the devil get to us. D: And I believe that Jesus did turn water into wine.

Emily xp First off, I doubt your teacher said that Catholicism is the over all best religion of all time. Why do I doubt you story? Because Catholisicm isn't even a religion, its a denomination in a huge religion called Christianity, your teacher must have known this. If he really said this, then he need to read on abit more. Im sure you feel that things aren't really focused the way you want to in class, but really...I would be satisfied if I even read about Catholisicm in my religion class, but thats just me. We went to a Mosque and focused abit more one Islam, mostly because it had alot of prejudices these days. I don't mind learning about other religions though.

Why the heck are you in a catholic school to begin with? Were you curious to get to know the religion? I'm Christian and have Catholic friends and they are all messed up and unhappy and it must be scary to be immersed so much with them being in the same school. Do others know you are not Catholic?

Well sometimes we can't avoid being in a 'not ok' situation. But don't you believe God put you there for a great purpose? What if you're the way for your classmate to be saved? or your teacher? or even the whole school? nothing's impossible with God.
I can only imagine. smile

Newsflash, Catholics ARE Christian. They believe in Christ, believe in the Law of Agape. And without Catholicism, there would be no Bible, no Christmas, no Easter, no Church. In a sense, Catholicism is the founding of Christianity. It was the one religion before the Protestant Reformation in which you had splinter groups split up and claim that they're it. -.-
