The Nairan Interstellar Kingdom was formed to keep Naire and the early colony world united politically. The nations of Naire had been slowly coming together for some time but the pace had quickened as the colonies were beginning to develop their own independent identities. The different republics, monarchies, and dictatorship eventually decided on forming a constitutional monarchy, but as this would be a new monarch he or she would truly be the executive and not just a ceramonial figure. The new parliament was formed first and then the first act was to glean through all the applicant families for the new nobility. The old noble house that still stood strong were accepted quickly as were many powerfully mercantile families.
The now fully formed Royal Senate then set about the task of determining which house had the most support among not only the new nobility about among all the citizens of Naire and the colonies. A popular vote was held for both King and Prime Minister with the understand that the one for King was not a true election.
Ander Hu'velo was selected to become King. Because of the mistrust many of the republic nations had, on Naire he was only given the title of "Lord of Naire" yet was still dubbed "King of All Her Realms and Colonies." Even today Naire has intraplantary government set up as a buffer against the king's rule as to keep the royal power balanced amongst all worlds. The Mayoral Governor is elected to represent the needs and wants of the people of Naire itself.
Five years ago Ander Hu'velo XXIII died and Drusus Hu'velo I was crowned and (per tradition) all of Ander's children that were not by the Queen were relegated to the lower house of Quayym.

Hierarchy
The Naira Interstellar Kingdom is a constitutional monarchy where the executive power is held by the monarch. The monarchy appoints ministers to his cabinet with the exception of the Prime Minister who is elected* from the lower house of the parliament.
The Parliament is divided in to the Assembly of Representatives (lower house) and the Royal Senate (upper house). The Assembly of Representatives is elected by the people and the number a region has is based on the population. The Royal Senate consists of approved** elected officials and nobles of the rank of Count** and higher.
*Election of a Prime Minister: Each political party selects a candidate based upon the votes of elected officials within the part down to the County level. Citizens then commence a popular vote and the Royal Senate also as their own internal vote. If the Popular Vote and Senate Vote do not agree then winner of the Popular Vote becomes Prime Minister as long as the margin of disagreement between the Popular and Senate votes is under 20%. If it is then a new election is held with only the winners of the Popular and Senate votes. If the Votes disagree by more than 20% again then the winner of the Popular Vote is elected UNLESS the winner of the Senate Vote obtained an 80% majority.
**The Royal Senate: An elected Senator must first be approved by their party to run for Senate and have had at least 5 consecutive years as a Representative. For a Count(ess) to sit in the Senate his or her county must meet either population or resource requirements. Second he/she much be approved by the Representatives their region. A Count(ess) may not be removed as long as a majority the Representatives that are within/cover his/her county still approve. Nobles of the rank of Margrave, Duke or Archduke may sit at their own discretion.

There are two councils that advice the King. First is the Council of Ministers who are appointed by the Prime Minister and are approved by the Senate. Along with the Prime Minister the Council of Ministers are the ones who frequently meet with the King to discuss matters of state. Second is the Council of Nobles where each noble serves as a patron for each ministry. They only meet formally once a year and as an advisory committee it is very loose. The benefits the nobles receive is a capitol ship and priority in petitions to the king.

Guild of Vulcan
The Guild of Vulcan is an ancient group of scientist, engineers, mechanics, etc. They make the majority of the machinery that is used by and exported from the Nairan Kingdom.

Duchy of Tiber
The Duchy of Tiber is a semi-sovereign collection of systems within the Naira Interstellar Kingdom. It is ruled by Duke Tiberius Quayym who is also a Vice Admiral of the Naira Fleet.
The majority of the citizens are in or have been in the military. They either served under the duke or support his ideology and as such are loyal to him and his cause. This nation believes in the advancement of technology as the only true path towards power and peace.

Pandora Corporation
The Pandora Corporation was founded by Countess Nyx Geanian and Count Erebos Geanian within the Duchy of Tiber. They have been contracted by Duke Tiberius to assist him in his own scientific endeavors and have recently been contracted by the Kingdom to make 8 new classes of support craft.
