I personally don't like the sound of this much. (Not that I own Sims 3.) I think they should have developed the base hood more first and even then I don't like the idea of my Sims going to real world destinations. I'm weird like that: My Sims live in their own world, not ours.

I'm weird like that: My Sims live in their own world, not ours. I agree, the sims should be in their own world not ours. I think the sims 2 is way better in a lot of ways than sims 3, I keep getting let down by it, though there are some really great things that The Sims 3 do offer. Like its much easier to download other people lots and the store works ok. (Though I'm not paying those prices) I think the sims 3 is too realistic. Sims 2 has a better feel to it imo. I dunno I was hoping for a holiday pack like they did for sims 2 for their first ep.

Shoot, I really would have preferred a pets expansion. Oh well, it's better than vampires and werewolves which was one of the candidates. sweatdrop

My problem with the expansion pack is it's like Sims 3, in the way that it's taking Sims in a different direction (it doesn't seem like the typical expansion pack we saw in Sims 2). It seems like it's going to be more like a "game" (as one of the interviews stated something about "new puzzle-based gameplay") and less like Sims 2 where the game was more focused on us creating your own story.

Im iffy about this EP it's got my interest but I'd rather have pets, vamps, and I'm missing my alien male pregnancies! Those were my favorte! Hopefully they come out with those EPs soon.
In the trailer they showed a mummy... maybe you could take him home like bigfoot in TS2 blaugh

Even though I never took Bigfoot home, all my adults were afraid of being near him, but the kids wanted a hug so bad! Questing a Biancamella

It's nice to see now that the locations do actually have simmified place names.
I am warming to it.
Has anyone else also read the info that with World Adventures, stairs will now be recolourable!

It's coming up soon. I believe it's coming out this month.. I think on the 17th, not sure. I'm debating whether or not to ask for it for Christmas or just get some DS game.

They really should work on the game a little more... but the expansion back doesn't look very amazing. I don't really want it that much now, the only reason I'd buy it is for the China thing.

I'm not sure either whether I want to get it or not. They're changing too much about the sims that we enjoy.
However, re-coloring stairs would be awesome. biggrin

My mom bought me this for christmas. She's so slow because I don't have the regular Sims 3 yet. XD Now I have to wait till tomorrow to exchange it since everything is closed christmas day. XDD

Haha, My Grandmother from across the country flew out for a little and bought me it for a Christmas gift, but I had to wait until Christmas to use it. I'm not ALL that impressed, but overall, it still is pretty cool~
