I ran out of text on the title..."?" means question..

Okay I was reading on Smogon.com on NineTails Double Status stategy and I was confused on this part...

This set is not as offensively threatening as the previous set, but it's very useful nonetheless. Sleep an opponent and hit physical attackers with a burn. Overheat is suggested as your STAB move, since you'll be switching out more often than with the sweeper set. If you think Ninetales will hang around for a few turns, or maybe pull off a sweep late in the game, go with Fire Blast. Similar to the common Rapidash in many ways, but Ninetales isn't as worried by Water-types as her equine counterpart is. Wide Lens is handy to give a slight accuracy boost to Hypnosis, Will-O-Wisp and Fire Blast..

I thought you could only have one Status on a Pokemon at a time....except for a confused sleeping pokemon.

I was wondering if you guys could give me some clarifacation on this =/

Yaaa that is quite confusing :/
but in competetive you're only allowed to put one opponent to sleep, so it probably means when they switch that out you can burn the pokemon switched in if its a physical attacker weakening their attacks.

Dun think any status affects sp.atk ):
but ninetails has quite high sp.def to handle them anyways ^-^

Why is Ninetales in the UU instead of the overused? It has a high Sp.Def, and most pokemon dont even have that at all...

There are better Special walls; Fire typing is generally crap because it leaves you open to really common attacks (Earthquake, Waterfall, Surf).

And there's VERY few Fire-Types that can learn Earthquake?

"It can't wall at all" is what he meant to say, I'm sure XD.

On top of that, there's stone edge to worry about as well. It doesn't have a scary movepool (albeit, an annoying one), it is average in speed, and it doesn't have a lot of sp. atk to sweep with.

Infernape and Heatran get the job done much better.

She did say it had high Sp.Def. Also, yeah, Fire typing is generally crap unless it has another type to back it up, and Ninetails' movepool is okay but not great.

Most of the time when I see Ninetails I go "You know, I could use a Nasty Plot Infernape instead."

What about Focus Sash? I read about it on Smogon and it said it's only a one time use item...Does that mean that it dissappears after the battle that it is gone?

It only gets used once per battle, but stays with you.

Also note: berries are used once per battle, but stay with you if you use them in Wifi battles. Random battles, though...

I am sorry if this too many questions for you guys sweatdrop
Also: How do you keep up with EV points you gain from battling? Do you just wait till they are level 100 or do you just get a pencil and paper and write them down?

As in Random Battles, you mean the battles in-game?
