Pronunciation & Uses:

♦NG can be pronounce in two ways.

*When it's alone. It pronounced NANG
Example:
Bumili siya ng itlog.
(He/She Bought an egg)

*When it's combine with a word. It's pronounced NG (ŋ)
Example:
Magandang babae.
(Beautiful girl)
Ang bata.
(The child)

♦DY is pronounced as j.
Like in the word Jupiter.
Example:
Dyanitor = Janitor
(ja-ni-tor)

♦TS is pronounce ch.
Like in the word Chase.
Example:
Tsokolate = Chocolate
(cho-co-la-te)

♦SY is pronounced as sh.
Like in the word Shape.
Example:
Asya = Asia
(A-Sya)

♣Ñ is pronunced as nya.
It is only used for words of Spanish origin that have not been assimilated into Filipino or Filipino words which were written using Spanish orthography.
Example:
Piña (Pineapple)
(Pi-nya)

♣The word "mga" is pronounced "MANGAH"
= "mga" is used to make plurals.
Example:
Mga babae(girl) = Girls
