Underneith the steep falls, a cut out of great size had been made. FOr many years, leaves have found their way into the cave, littering the floor, decomposing into soft sand. The floors are relitivly smooth and if you walk farther back (many many yards) into the caves, you will find that the sand is deep in the back and warm. Mothers can rear their kittens in the back, away from the weather and cold. A circle of rocks are placed in the very back of the cave, where the Shaman can lite a fire if the need comes. (Much to Brotiz's dismay).

A lone member stood at the opening of the cave, staring out at the skys. Both to the left and to the right could be access'f for leaving the caves. He was on the left. His soulfull eyes fell down to the trail leading steeply downwards, to the very last level of the falls if you went far enough. If you were to turn to the side and up a rather small incline, you would be in the surrounding forest. At the other side of the cave, the same could be said.

Energetic footsteps sounded not far from where the male stood, heralding the approach of a rather sprightly rishlan kitten. Her fur was a light pink dusted with white at her rump. Her tail and what could be called bangs were an even lighter pink, almost totally white, except for the streak of darker pink that ran through them. The three gold-colored metal bangles she wore on her right forepaw jangled with her movement.

"Morning!" She greeted cheerfully, bright green eyes made a bit smaller with her smile.

Not far behind the kitten, an adult female rishlan walked in. Her steps were not nearly as energetic as the kitten she was carefully watching, but her white paws still gripped the ground with proud strength, a sign that her youth had not completely left her. Golden eyes surrounded by black fur surveyed the area around them, and when she saw her charge talking to the chieftain, she walked over and timidly greeted him with "Good day."

Noble eyes cast upon the young kitten, happy and frolickly in her age and time. She was a pleasent child to gaze upon, but Brotiz was never really to impressed with beauty. He found that the personality of the clan member was more interesting. Not that any of his clan was unworthy of being attractive to the eye. He sat himself down upon the soft sand floor, watching the arrival of a few of his members. Young Nahvie was her name and such a name suited such a young kitten, sure of life and a future of good times. Following behind her was Silver, lean and mature in her state, yet she had a glow to her. She was still youthful, indeed. Brotiz smiled kindly at them, a rather familiar and warming smile fell across his lips.
"Hello, dears." He said warmly. "Having a good morning, I hope?" He added, his eyes twinkling.

Nahvie flicked an ear backwards as the adult who'd been watching her spoke. "You betcha." Vee said rather casually, even though she knew quite well that she was speaking to the clan leader. He'd been nice to her- even letting her join!- so she really didn't feel the need to be scared of him, in her mind. Not to say she couldn't be polite and proper- she could... when she wanted to be. Bored with walking about, she sat as well, glancing back at Silver briefly. "Even if the morning is entirely too early than it should be." She continued. As energetic as the kitten was, she'd never been one for mornings until she'd gotten her first drink of cool water for the day. "What about you? Seen anything interesting?" Nahvie asked, always on the lookout for something new to investigate around the clan lands that she was allowed to go on as a kitten.

"The morning has been quite nice so far," the adult female replied slightly more politely than the kitten, though she slowly became more relaxed as she sat down behind Nahvie. She was always more comfortable around the children, perhaps because she was still a young adult herself. She managed to hide her amused expression from Nahvie as the kitten looked back at her. "Remember to tell me if there is anything particularly noteworthy, sir," she added after Navhie's question. "Whatever you see is clan history in the making," she explained, not entirely jokingly. Silver was also more comfortable when talking about stories. Perhaps it was because she enjoyed retelling the stories of others, or perhaps the stories took her mind off the hard life she had as a wanderer before she joined Brotiz's clan.

"I am glad, that both of you are enjoying yourselves. I am myself, very happy to have this place as a home... and to have members of the clan who appreciate it." He said, cocking his head. He stood rather hastily and walked slowly over to the edge where the cave ended adn the waterfall began to fall. He stared out, even if he couldn't see beyound the blue of the falls. He loved it here. More than that, he was happy for being around such lively Females, since Males tended to be more anxious. COurse, he did want some Men to help him with the caves inhabitants. Perhaps he would wander about and find one. Some day. For now, he was fine. "Actually I have found nothing of distracting since first coming here. I am been to busy looking around and familiarizing myself with the area." Brotiz said, cocking his head at the young Nahvie and lovely silver, standing up and walking to the back of the cage, down the short incline and into the most sheltered of the caves area's. THe sand was deep there, and it sunk a few inch's on his feet.

Faith sees the cave ahead of her, and she keeps going forward. Her estimate earlier that her leg was healing well may have been wrong. Then again, it hadn't started swelling yet so all she really needed was to be able to lay down in a safe area, and let it heal.

Faith paused outside the cave and looked behind her, she felt almost as if she was losing freedom by entering. But she also knew that here she was safe and need not worry about the dangers of the outside.

Burying her thoughts within her Faith wandered inside the cave, the sand crunching lightly under her feet. As she walked into the cave she tried not to favor her leg.

"Awww.... you sure?" Vee asked, disappointed. She'd really wanted to investigate something today... Oh well. She shrugged, mentally. There was always tomorrow. "Huh?" She blinked, glancing at Faith curiously when the female made her way into the cave. Promptly forgetting about investigations and whatnot, Nahvie got up and padded over to her. "What happened to your leg?"

Faith smiles at the other Rislan kitten, "got caught in the big storm the other night. I was trying to find shelter in an overhang by the river," Faith moves slightly to make herself more comfortable. "It worked out fine...until the overhang fell and was pulling me toward the river in a mud slide." Faith laughed slightly as she finished her story, "The leg is healing now though."

Brotiz turns his attention to the newer comer to the cave. Smiling politly, like he always does when contemplating about something. He needed to find males, to help support himself when he would no longer be able to take control and be there for his clan; when he was an old male. "Good. YOu were lucky to not have been hurt more, rapids are very horrid." He said to faith inclinging to her injury. The young kittens comment and concern she had shown when Faith had entered made Brotiz begin the process of thinking up the positions the young ones would soon fill up upon growing into women.

"Ouch. Well, at least it's healing." Nahvie replied, making a sympathetic face. She paused, as if just thinking of something. "Hey, I never caught your name, did I?" She asked, grinning. "I'm Nahvie, but you can call me Vee if ya want." She said, a hope lurking in the back of her head that they really hadn't met before... she was terrible with names, and almost as bad with faces. She glanced towards Brotiz when he spoke, but didn't do anything else.

Faith nodded to Brontiz, though at times she felt him hidebound. He really was very nice, "I luckily didn't experiance the rapids, just the mud." Faith grinned slightly through the pain as she said this.

She then spoke to the other kitten, "Nahvie is a pretty name, but I think Vee will be much easier to say." Faith smiled genuinely to her, trying to remember if she had met her before. She had left not long ago for her exploration, but she doesn't remember Vee. "My name is Faith, it is nice to meet you."

Nahvie grinned. "Yup. 'S why I always tell people they can call me that if they want. Besides," She continued, making a face and rolling her eyes a little. "My mum only called me Nahvie if I was in trouble. Nice to meetcha too, though." She said with a smile, finally sitting down on the cave floor. Now it was coming back to her... she thought she /had/ met Faith before, but thanks to her horrible people-memory and the fact that she hadn't joined this clan all that long ago, she was still trying to memorize the clan members.
