Anyone know them?
Anyone like them?
Anyone want to share their favourite songs, or Lostprophets related experiences at all?
Just so you know, they are my absolute favourite band and before anyone starts any hate I just want to say I can argue for hours about why Lostprophets are amazing. So if you try me, you will lose xD
I'll just start by saying a little bit about why the band means so much to me - basically there was a time just over a year back when I was going through a lot of bad stuff in my life and I felt like I had nowhere to turn and then I saw Lostprophets live and their music just spoke to me (lame I know...) and I was happier than I'd ever been before. Then I really started listening to the songs and the lyrics helped pull me out of the dark place and gave me a new look on life. They made me happier with who I am and happier with how life is in general.
Then I got involved with the Lostprophets community and found their fans to be people that I got on with really well, we're a pretty close group, we hang about on the same sites and we have a lot of laughs and that made me feel a lot happier too.
All in all the band changed my life for the better and I am eternally grateful for it :]

Ian is rather an attractive young fellow isn't he just? *swoons* ok i have to stop doing stuff like that... sweatdrop
I don't know if I could pick favourite songs without saying "all of them" but I'll say you guys picked awesome songs:
Rooftops - the song I listen to whenever I'm down, Just the message behind the lyrics and the concept and the song and the video - it's beautiful. It's also amazing live, just with the crowd and the fact at a gig you really can scream your heart out. I do sometimes have the urge to jsut find a rooftop and start screaming though if I listen to this song too much...
Last Train Home - I didn't like this song as much on the album but after I saw it live it became one of my all time favourite songs. Just the unity I felt when I watched this song and the pure joy. It's like every time I hear it I go back to that huge crowd (of like 50,000 people) and we're all jumping in time. It's a sight to see and something to experience. Mindblowing.
Everybody's Screaming - Again until I saw a live version I didn't appreciate this song fully. They didn't play it when I saw them but I watched some footage from another gig they did when they did play it and it was just great. Everyone was punching the air and it was again an amazing sight.
I think that's the thing I found with Lostprophets. Their songs are very good on album but after I saw them live... I listened to their songs again and they just sounded 10 times more AMAZING.

So if anyone's interested in hearing some new Lostprophets the first single off of their new album (coming out January) is gonna be played on the radio tonight (BBC Radio 1 if you can tune into that) and as soon as someone puts a rip up on youtube I'll post a link here so anyone who can't tune in can hear it :3
I am so excited about hearing this, I've been waiting for this album for a year and a half and to hear a finished song from it will be amazing <3
In other Lostprophets news - it's 1 week till I get to see them live again! And I am looking forward to it so so much.
Also my friend can't go to Reading festival anymore so she's selling me her ticket a lot cheaper than if I tried to buy one of the internet! Basically what that means is I'm gonna go see Lostprophets AGAIN 4 days later.

This is what I have waited patiently for.
This is the start of an amazing few months.
The Betrayed comes out in January and if all the songs are as amazing as this one then this album will be absolutely AMAZING.
The song is "It's Not The End Of The World, But I Can See It From Here"
and can be found here heart
and now it can't... got removed cause of some copyright issues and the like. if anyone wants to hear it I'll look for more videos or if you ask really nicely i might send you my rip of it wink

I know no-one but me actually cares that much about this band ( don't lie, I know wink )
but if anyone cares enough to want to see the new video the record label have put up the official video (which means it won't be taken down - yay!) and I love it. I don't think it's their best work but I don't care:

also artwork for the single release (October 12th) has been released and It looks pretty good if you ask me. Especially with the pretty lead singer whee
