Anyone else got most of their gold invested in fish?
This tank needs to be played a few thousand times to pay for itself...

I took the easy way and bought them with my own
IRL money. xD (Well, I won the Mimi Kitty in a contest.)
But... I have only received a little under 30'000 from my tank
and I've had it since July... They aren't joking when they tell
you to post a lot x3. <3 Good luck!

Yup... must post... but once you get over... 150 invites... usually you no longer have to do that... then it makes money on its own... but posting still help... A LOT!

It's quite a lot of work making a profit on a booty grab aquarium. Lots of posting - lots of invites - watching the market for deals on replacement fish. It's all so expensive. I'm having fun with it, but it's not a "get rich quick" scheme that's for sure.
Still, booty grab is a great way to earn gold on Gaia, largely thanks to booty grab threads full of high paying aquariums. And someone has to build those aquariums, so I also feel that the time I spend on it is helping my fellow Gaians. Anyone - new or old, rich or poor - can earn the gold they need playing booty grab. That's a worthwhile thing to support in my opinion. biggrin

Yeah - this is a new aquarium, and I'm just getting started soliciting invites. It's certainly a lot of work, but with an all watermeat tank it should be a money maker! biggrin

If I had known what's gonna happen a few months ago I would have just colleced gold until times has change. Right now - too little time to really post the tank so it earns its gold back... But it has done good anyway... biggrin

I'm lucky I got most my fish when I did. I got them pretty darned cheap. I'm hoping to make enough off the tank to pay back what I invested as well as add more fish. I'm also hoping prices go back down on the fish.
