This thread is for the Sun Court to plan their rescue of Neith's daughter, Winny, from the clutches of the Moon Court. All Sun Court members and Kithain (And Spina if she wishes to backstab the Moon Courters) are welcome to post.

Cervus paced in the meeting chamber, looking haggard and worn. The young king seemed older than himself, his eyes haunted, and his face weary. His hair was disheveled and his attire in some disarray. It had taken much out of him to chain Sajhiri up in Gaia at her request. At the discovery that his Kithain had been under Nox's influence, they had agreed it was best to secure her to prevent the passing of any further information to the Majestrix until that control could be broken and the child rescued. Now he awaited his people to set forth a plan to save the little girl and find a means to break the Moon Court's hold over the Revered Daughter.

Knocking first, to let others know he was there, Alces slowly opened the door to the meeting room and peeked in, looking to see if any others were already there. Moving his head to the side a bit, he stood up straight once again and entered the room. "Hello my dear King." He greeted, giving Cervus a respectful bow and a nod to anyone else that might already be there.

Seeing Cervus in the state that he was made Alces rather sad, he couldn't stand to see anyone like that and tried to give him a reassuring look, as he walked over closer to where Cervus pacing. Ready to assist him and be the best herald ever!

*Lilium did her best to try and cheer up her husband. She knew it to be an impossible task but she still must try. He's been unable to relax since the incident and it worried her*

We will figure this out my king. We'll get the child back and try and break Nox's influence. *She wasn't really too sure either would be possible but she couldn't let on to him. Maybe if she had been there.... She shouldn't kid herself. She would not have been able to do anything to stop it*

*upon Alces' Entry she nodded in response to his nod* Hello Alces. Good of you to come to help devise a plan.

Neith and a very alert Filix (With thanks to those little chocolate covered coffee beans Neith fed her to wake her up faster) knocked, and entered.

Ready for war, and anger, and growling, Neith's mood softened when she saw just how raggard and stressed looking the King was. So instead, she took a seat somewhere and waited to see what he'd say. Yelling wasn't going to help. Filix stood beside Neith, watching the King, the Queen and Alces with eyes that weren't able to stop darting from one to the other.

Cervus nodded mutely to his cousin, and set a hand on his shoulder in thanks for his presence. Lilium got a small look of gratitude for her efforts to cheer him, but when Neith entered, his haggard face looked even older.

He pulled a chair out for the Kithain and then seated himself. "The others can join us as they are able, but I see no reason to wait before starting. It is now known that my own Kithain is also the blood relation to this Majestrix Nox of the Moon Court, and that her normal consciousness had been subverted by foul magics to do this evil creature's bidding. Sajhiri has been willingly secured in Gaia to prevent any of our rescue plans from leaking back to the Moon Court."

He looked about to those seated and murmured "At this time, all reports seem to indicate they have taken up resumed residence in the dark castle, so their location is known to us. Where the child is being held is not known, but I have been heavily researching the ancient practices of those of the Moon Court persuasion where human children are concerned." His eyes wavered in worry at his own words.

"Anything to help dear Queen." Alces gave her a bow as well, and then smiled rather weakly at Cervus when he felt his hand on his shoulder. It would have been a larger grin, but now was not the time. After waiting for Cervus to be seated first, his eyes darted around to the seats near him. Leaving one for Lilium on her side, he went to take a seat on his other, figuring that would have probably been for Aesculus, but deciding since he wasn't here it wouldn't hurt...too much, for now anyway.

His eyes shifted over to Neith, and he gave the poor Kithain a kind, sympathetic smile, and a nod to Filix. However, his eyes jerked back to the King at the mention of Sajhiri being under the influence of the Moon Court. For now, he didn't say anything, just listened.

Neith listened quietly, letting herself get all the infomation before commenting. She didn't want to argue, or accuse, or get angry. None of that would help. "...Are they that powerful then? That they can manipulate a person into doing what they want?"

She couldn't believe it... or that she could be trapped the same way. Neith liked thinking she had power over her own mind and body.

Filix spoke up then, sitting down close to Neith as she asked quietly, "What are these ancient practices?" She nodded at Alces, glad to see that he was there as well.

Cervus took in a breath and he pulled a large tome to him on the table. "I am not fully certain of the magics being used on Sajhiri, as I am not a magius at heart. I have sent the information to Pappila to research to try and find a way to break the spell, but it is a situation most delicate, as Sajhiri is with child, and any restraints must be done with the utmost caution to protect her and her unborn."

He opened the tome, which looked dusty and battered, ancient in it's script. "The Autumn People, which were the ancestors of the Moon Court, gained power and a feeling of euphoria by draining the joy, the very dreams, from mortals. The most power and greatest level of pleasure was achieved by draining the purest and most creative of souls...children." He looked around the table worriedly.

Alces' face twisted into a look of disgust as he listened wo what Cervus read. "They...do that to children?" He asked slowly to restate what his cousin had just said, his tone anything but happy and cheerful. Even his eyes no longer held his usual little happy sparkle. Instead, they had narrowed a great deal and he was looking at the book set on the table angrily.

Clenching his fists a bit under the table, then loosening them again didn't help much, but it was something to do. "How heartless." He eventually muttered to himself more than anyone else as he took to glaring at the table infront of him rather than at the book.

With a rather late arrival. Another knock came. Ursa knocked twice, as to not not burst in rather rudely. She turned the knob on the door and pushed it forward with her free hand in a gentle manner. But she noticed the stillness of the room, it was as still as a picture. She opened her mouth, but no words came out.

So quickly without a glance about at everyone, she took a seat and tried to blend in with the situasion, without making it too obvious she was slightly late... This was a deadly serious matter, and she was more than willing to contribute anything she could to assist the King and Queen, and her fellow Sun Court Fey.

Cervus swallowed and he continued to read from the tome. "The Autumn people plied their captives with treats and toys and played with them to raise their joy to the highest levels, sometimes for several weeks but never less than one week, and at the apex of the child's joy, they would perform the ritual dance which drains the joy from the child to the dancers, leaving the child unable to ever feel joy from the things they experienced it from prior again."

He slowly closed the tome and looked around the table. "Time grows short. I will need volunteers to go to the dark castle and inspect it, finding a weakness and a way for us to enter to rescue Winny."

Muris had snuck in, quiet as the mouse she took after, at some point. Her unobtrusiveness had assured that none of them really noticed her entrance, and the woman had kept quite quiet throughout the discussion. Still, she could keep quiet no longer,
"Your Majesty..with your permission, I would like to go. I am fast and quiet-- I could scout ahead for those who are going. If there is danger, I know that I could get away quickly."

The Fey continued to stare at the table as his cousin read on. All the while he kept wondering to himself how anyone could be so heartless like that. It had surprised him when he heard Muris' voice and he looked up from the table quickly. That's also when he noticed Ursa, and gave the young woman a nod of his head, and did the same to Muris.

Alces wasn't sure if he wanted to go, or should go for that matter. He wasn't sure how he would do; this wasn't something he was prepared for, fighting and rescueing things wasn't his strong point. But, he had a duty to help out his king, so that's what he was going to do. "Perhaps I...I could aid in the rescue as well my King." He finally spoke up, "I have been practicing a few spells that would be good for entertaining that could also be used to protect myself and perhaps others if something should come up." The man did his best to hide the neverousness in his voice as he looked at Cervus and gave another nod of his head.

Neith's face didn't change in appearance, but the hand that appeared to be placidly resting on her leg was now starting to go white at the joints as it clasped onto the skirt. She barely noticed the change, listening to every word as it burned into her mind. "Then she will be all right at the moment, and we can bring her back. I've got to go."

"No." Filix put a hand on Neith's tensed one, and it relaxed. "I'll go." Quickly, she continued, "Winny is as much my ancestor as Neith is, and I want to protect her. I'll do anything to do that."

Filix leaned over to Neith, and whispered, "Neith, please avoid this task... fey have magics and skills you don't, while we're here. We can probably sneak around far easier than you can while you're emotional."

Neith exhaled long and slowly. She didn't agree with Filix but answered lowly, "Fine. I'll wait, but I need to know what's happening. Everything."

*Lilium felt sickened hearing the accounts of the ceremony. Poor child. She can't let this happen. Stealing the joy from children... How could they!? She sat in silence for a time listening to the others volunteer. She then arose*

I will go with them. We must act quickly. This cannot be allowed to take place.
