Yume sat there on the outskirts of Seyruun, she was absolutely silent as she looked out at the sea.
Her parents had died long ago, and she'd been alone since then, she was taken in by a orphanage, but she ran away from their care, fearing that they were like everyone else in this world.
She gave a small flap of her wings, letting a frown come across her lips.
Maybe she shouldn't be wearing her wings in the public, seeing as that was how her mother had been killed, but she couldn't help it.
It felt so good, having the wind blow against her wings.
If it's time for me to leave this world, I'll have to accept it ...
Those were her thoughts, but then again, she had so many things she still wanted to do.

~Meanwhile, within the walls of the Seyruun castle~
"Your Highness, are you certain about this?" the guard asked hesitantly. Amelia Seyruun scowled and nodded vigorously.
"Of course, I'm sure! Now, Miss Lina and Mr Gourry should still be in her hometown, so make sure you get it to her by next week!" she said. The soldier sighed and then walked out of the castle and down the road. Amelia sighed."I never thought sending an invitation would be so challenging..." She mumbled.

Yume became rather tense when she heard loud clanking footsteps coming from the road ... a guard was leaving the town!
Yume hid as much as possible, trying her best to keep her breath silent so that she wouldn't be caught, but then the guard turned his head.
Damn, she made the bush rustle ...
Stupid Yume ... She thought, her heart beginning to pound when the guard advanced in her direction.
"G-Go away! YOU CREEP!" The guard then grabbed her hand and pulled her out from the bushes, seeming to notice her wings and tail.

"Hey!!"
The guard let go of the girl, who fell back into the bush, and turned as Amelia came over. He hadn't gottten very far away from the castle.
"I told you to go straight to Zefilia!" she said scoldingly, wagging her finger at him. The soldier scowled and then started back down the road, grumbling to himself. Amelia shook her head, with her hands on her hips. Sometimes being in charge of a kingdom was more than one girl could handle.
If only Miss Lina were here...she'd have everyone working for her without ever complaining... she thought to herself.
Then she heard the bush beside her rustle ever so slightly. She turned to look at it, with a look of curiousity. Then she shook her head and walked back to the castle, dismissing it as a figment of her imagination.

Yume let a low growl escape her when the guard dropped her, knowing it was because of her poor choice of words, she ran further into the bushes, fearing what would happen to her if they continued to follow; She tried to keep the noise quiet, trying her best to run through the bare spots inbetween ... but ...
"...Ow ... !" She winced when she felt her leg sting, looking behind to see that she'd run into a rose bush.
That's just wonderful ... seeing as I live in these forests, the monsters will probably catch my scent ...

Amelia didn't get too far away, when she suddenly heard a girl's terrified scream come from behind her.
Someone's in trouble?! she thought in alarm. As a defender of justice, I can't allow this!! Then she ran back the way she'd come, following the sound into the trees.

A goblin was coming near Yume, making her afraid and begin to back away. Sadly, she didn't know how to transform into her dragon form completely yet; meaning, she could not defend herself.
She ran until she came to a dead end.
The dragon girl watched as the goblin laughed manically and took its last steps towards her, soon, she felt the goblins knife at her neck.
She could feel tears of fear begin to roll down her cheeks as she squeezed her eyes shut.

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!!!"
The goblin turned and saw Amelia come into the clearing. She was leaning against a tree, struggling to regain her breath. She held up her hand to ask for a pause, and then proceeded to climb the tree. Once she was high enough, she turned back to the goblin.
"VILLAIN!! BECAUSE OF YOUR CRUELTY, YOU MUST NOW ANSWER TO THE MIGHT OF JUSTICE!!!" she shouted.
The goblin snarled at her and then ran towards her tree, brandishing its dagger. Amelia leapt down from her branch straight at the goblin.
"RA TILT!!!" she shouted. The area around the goblin glowed with a powerful white light, and then exploded. The goblin let out a cry of panic as it flew into the air and landed a large distance away.
Amelia had no time to celebrate, for she continued to fall, and ultimately crashed head first into the ground.

From the pressure the Goblin was putting to her neck with it's knife before gave her a small wound on her neck, luckily, it missed her vein, and bled only a bit.
She ignored this, making her way towards the girl, kneeling down next to her before noticing who she was.
Amelia?
It was her cousin? It had to be ...
"H-Hey ... are you alright?" She questioned, giving the girl a small, light shake on the shoulder.
"Uh ... "
Luckily, Amelia didn't notice her wings and tail ... yet.
It relieved her a bit.
Amelia also may not remember her ... they hadn't seen eachother since they were both really young ...

"Ya, I'm fine..." Amelia said, rubbing her bruised forhead. "You really shouldn't be wandering around out here. There are evil monsters running all over the place..." She was too preoccupied with the headache to notice who she was talking to.

Yume brought a hand to Amelia's forehead, chanting under her breath before a bright green light surrounded it, and suddenly, the bruise left, Amelia's head may still hurt a bit, but not too much ... the healing would take care of that.
"Thank you for saving me, I would've been that goblin's meal if you didn't do anything."
Probably just one more second, and she would've been headless ... with this thought, a chill ran down Yume's spine.
She listened carefully to Amelia's words, nodding and giving a small smile.
"I appreciate the advice, but there's nowhere else for me to go."

"What do you mean? Don't you live in Sey-" Amelia finally looked up at the girl and fell silent. Her mind completely shut down for a moment, all she could do was stare at the wings barely visible on the girl's back.
