I noticed there was a thread about it so I made it.
Alright, I want to know what types of science fiction people like. For me, I'm a fan of the cyberpunk genre with a taste for classic science fiction. I also like imagining the world of tomorrow, even though I call it ashita de mir loco (tomorrow's crazy world).

I usually like Futuristic Society Sci-Fi. Especially when the technology is backwards, like in Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 or 1984 by Orwell.

I agree with Adiabolist. Fahrenheit 451 is one of my favorites. The 2001 series is also another good sci-fi series (mostly because it was basically the start of the genre). I love 2001 because the books deal with such a large-scale plot and setting its mind blowing but beautiful all at the same time. Arthur C. Clarke being a literary genius helps too.

I wanted to read that, but I saw the movie. I is shame.
I have Space Odyssey 2010 now too, but have yet to sit down and watch it. Hopefully I will do that before the year's end.
I heart Sci-Fi.

I agree Clarke was a literary genius... but I didn't like 2001 at all.
I am a fan of Rendezvous with Rama - that arc, but the first one is my favorite.
