The streets of Gaioh were filled as the ceremony was about to take place. Kashin walked the streets quietly heading to the spot of the ceremony. He wore the yakata of his family, quietly pondering what awaited him.

Westly was quiet during the ceremonies. As a ninja, he'd gotten a prime seat: somewhere on a roof somewhere. This had come as a complete surprise to him. Kashin... isn't a bad choice, I suppose. He'll do a job worthy of the title. I hope he's not still mad at me about that time I mouthed off to him in the middle of the ANBU office.
He grimaced. I guess I'm just worried about the other side of it: why is Azure stepping down? Why now, with the enemy at the gates?
He promised me. He said that he would do anything to protect Gaioh and its people. That he'd never wanted to be Kage, but only felt that he was keeping the seat warm for someone who could better do the job.
Is that what this is? Will Kashin bring us justice?
Westly smiled. "On with the ceremony," he said softly. "One can tell much about a leader by his first decree. I want to see Kashin's already."

*Soul sat cross-legged on a nearby roof, so close he could almost smell the scent of Kashin. He too wore a yukata, it only taken out for special occasions, and this was deffinately special. He had left his headband at home, so his forehead would be able to breath today. A nice breeze passed on this sunny day, blowing his velvety crimson hair. He had a nice smile on his face, seeing as a good friend, a man he could consider his brother, was now becoming Kage before his eyes* Heheh. I feel like it was only yesterday that we were genin and Nekage would beat the crap out of us...Me. I did provoke him more than you. Look at you. You've progressed so much, Kashin: Head of the Akuma Clan, Anbu, and now the 3rd Kage. I'd be lying if i said i weren't jealious... Defeat Kashin and you can come after me... And after what Chaos has said, i don't know if i can beat you. You're the most powerful shinobi in the village; how could i think of beating you? *Soul let out a sigh and shook his head, taking these negative thoughts out. The sad grin he gradualy attained while talking to himself was shaken off. This was a happy day, and he was proud* Yeah, Kashin!

Watching the ceremony from ground level wearing his absolute best outfit for the occasion Azran couldn't help but feel both happy and sad at the same time as he set off some fireworks he had bought from Kobushi's store.
He was happy of course to see a new Hanakage appointed, that was definitely a reason to celebrate, but he was sad because Ayumi-chan was not here yet and he wasn't sure she was coming.
After beating her in the chunnin exam and then confessing to her immediately afterwords, she had simply blushed and ran off before bothering to give him an answer. He wondered if he had come on to strong and had scared her off, or if she simply needed time to think but either way he hadn't seen her for the last few days while he had been training for the second part of the exam.
He wished she could see him right now, With his suit and tie on he would be look particularly dashing despite the bandages that where rapped around his hands, a result of the new jutsu that he was working on that had yet to be perfected.
"Long live the 3rd Hanakage, Long live Kashin!" He yelled out pumping his fists into the air as he tried to cheer himself up.

He was wearing his best blue hoodie and a black bucket hat. This typically isn't formal attire for the normal person, but Manndar wasn't normal and these "special clothes" were his only clothes not old or fading / damaged. Manndar almost didn't look like himself without his head band on..... That old ratty headband covered with scratches and a few blood stains. His first and only head band. "Its a nice change of pace, seeing something festive happen." Manndar said with a grin as he pulled a bag out of his pocket. "Want some beef jerkey?"

Taka Walked up about thirty feet away from Azaran and stood with his hands stuffed in his pockets. He wore a yakuta that he rarely brung out, for it was for special ceremonies and such. Taka's hair was not in its usual pony tail, but down and free flowing. He adjusted his forehead protector and smiled. 'Kashin... I remember when I first met you. You, Soul, Hids, and Suzu-chan were the first to befriend me. I've gotten to close to both you and Soul the most. Its as if I'm watching my older brother become Hanekage...' He looked down and chuckled to himself. "Long live Kashin Akuma, Third Hanekage!" He raised his hands in the air and was verry happy for his friend. 'I'm proud of you Kashin. And I know your family would have been too... I know you'll do the village proud.'

On one rooftop, Kobushi was kneeling down setting up some fireworks. He was just finishing since he heard about a new Hanekage taking office. On the surrounding rooftops, the orange haired boy could see many familiar faces, and some not as well known to him. "Looks like Azran's got the right idea," Kobushi said to himself. Because of festivities, there has been a good amount of buisiness at the shop today. "It'll be a while 'til the ceremony's over. Might as well say hi to some friends."

*Soul was a little suprised by the sudden off, but he loved the smell of beef jerky, and the taste reminded him of dried blood with spices. He snagged a decent sized piece from Manndar and stuck it in the side of his mouth so he could chew it with his canines* Thanks.

Shuji appeared quietly behind Westly watching the ceremony. He had been searching around for anyone that he knew, but in the end had decided that this particular individual would be far more entertaining to talk to. He didn't know Westly very well, but then again he didn't really know much of anyone in the village at this point. Things had been changing so fast that he was having a hard time keeping up.
"I'd have to agree with you," Shuji said in response to Westly's comment. "I remember when Kashin was just a Jounin giving the task of beating my team around during the Chuunin exams, and now here he is, the 3rd Kage of our village. I wonder, will we move toward peace, or will we all be chasing down Chaos for the rest of our lives?"

Manndar said as he set the now opened bag on the roof between them. Manndar sighed and looked out into the crowd and at the festivities. "It would be nice if I could let my guard down and just enjoy the occaision, but I guess I've been in thee job too long to do so."

A hush fell over the crowd as Kashin stepped up onto a stage built a few days ago. Azure was on stage already looking over the sea of faces, clad in the Hanekage outfit, white and silver. His voice was strong and carried on the winds as if by magic.
"It has been many years since I became Hanekage... and many more before Gaioh was rebuilt. I have done all I can to make Gaioh strong. But now I can step aside and let someone else take the reins. Kashin Akuma has risen by his own merits to be considered a capable leader and a strong defender. Let Gaioh prosper under his guidance."
As the crowd cheered, Azure held out a Hanekage outfit to the 3rd, and backed away from the podium for Kashin's speech to the people.

Kei sat atop a bell tower some distance away from the festivities to observe the the transferral of power that hallmarked a new era for Gaioh as rulership passed hands. Dressed in his familiar black slacks and grey shirt with his new black haori fluttering in the wind, the Ichijin looked even more imposing than usual. With a kozuka blade twirling in one hand, the ANBU hopeful watched on with his usual calm indifference; an air inherited from Nekage. How sad it was that of the first four only two remained with Gaioh.
"I wonder how Hids and Nekage would look upon this exchange?"

Kashin gratefully bowed to Azure as he accepted the Hanekage attire. He stood on the edge of the podium looking into the town seeing familiar faces. With a small in-take of breath Kashin was ready to give his speech.
"I would first like to thank you all for coming out and showing your support. I am sure many of you, as am I, are surprised to see Azure step down. I am also sure even more of you are surprised that I am the one now taking power..."
A short chuckled escaped his lips, as a smile grew.
"I have lived here in Gaioh since my family was slaughtered along with the root of my clan. This village has given much to me and I wish to the same for Gaioh and it's people. I hope to bring peace to Gaioh one day. It is what the village deserves. Many of you, I am sure, are wondering if I will be continuing the pursuit of Chaos. I will have us continue investigating that situation, but I will have a specific group created to track him down. He will not be the main concentration of this village. I will be holding myself to a high standard to best meet your expectations."
Kashin stood back and looked up to Soul and then to Taka. "Long live Gaioh!" His fist raised high as he smiled knowing he had now inherited Gaioh.

((*looks at Soul* LYKE!!! OMG HE LOOKED AT US!!! 4laugh ))
Taka nodded his head as Kashin looked at him. Kashin wasn't a member of his family, but he was close enough to it. Both him and Soul were two of the many ninja of Gaioh that Taka considered to be part of his "family". He cheered and raised his own fists into the air. "Long live Kashin, the Akuma Clan, and Gaioh!" After a minute of cheering, Taka created a handseals and vanished in a cloud of smoke. When he reappeared, he was standing behind Soul and Manndar on the building. "Hey guys. What do you think of the ceremony? Pretty amazing..." He looked over at Kashin again. The wind whistled as it blew through his ears and tossed his hair around. "I think he'll be a great Hanekage..." Taka looked down and then back up. "Hey guys... After this is over you wont be seeing me too often, besides for you in the ANBU Tornument." He nudged Soul's shoulder playfully. The two would have to face each other in the tornument and it was very possible that one of them would not walk out of there alive as it was permitted to kill if one needed to in the tornument... He shook the thought from his mind and grinned. "I'm going to be going into seclusion in my home, perfecting a type of jutsu that will give me great power, then leaving the village to train under some of the greatest masters of the elements in the land. If you'd like to, feel free to join me." He patted Manndars shoulder as he stood up, crossing his arms with his foot on the ledge. 'That man will do this village proud...'
