Shameless Werewolf

PostPosted: Thu Aug 13, 2009 12:47 pm

It was a gorgeous night, all the animals were in their best black and white outfits, dancing the night away. The music was wonderful, the food was delicious. Everywhere one looked, people were having fun.

Except these two. These poor dears were too shy to approach anyone, and so quiet, no one noticed them. Each was in a different corner, hiding away, wishing they had the chance to come out and play with everyone. The Panda was lonely, but kept trying to dance. The Killer Whale sang softly to the music, but so softly none heard. They needed help.

*If you don't have a whimsical, please use a made up human character to interact with the panda or orca whale*

*You can only try for ONE of them*

Orca or Panda?: Pannnnda
Whimsical's name: Lylin
Whimsical's Temper: Reclusive
Your own character's name(or cert): Clover~ <3
Entry:

Anyone who knew Clover knew she was nothing but a kind hearted sweetie. While highly curious and playful, she loved nothing more then a good scritch..and a new friend. Although Cole's(rainbow bright) constant companion every so often Clove would strike out on her own and go exploring as most cats were prone to do so. However on this particular day she had a chance encounter with someone knew...not that it was a problem to one like Clover. In the corner were two different sorts each as seemingly shy as the last. With the cool summer night, it was strange to see. Her fur fluffed up almost as if raising an eyebrow. "Hmm.." she mused before bouncing over to the nearest; a large fluffy black and white dog. Now..most cats had a normal aversion to dogs, Clover was not one of those. She'd grown up around them, and rightly so adored them just the same.

Curiosity had enticed the cat. "Helllllo~" She chirped sitting down at the others feet.

Lylin had been lost in thought. The poor dear wanted nothing more then to sneak out the nearest door and be away from all the noise and chaos. Just as he had been about to put this very plan into action a small little bundle of fur had broken his concentration. Jumping his eyes shifted around to find the source...at first he thought maybe he'd just imagined it. But when a little paw poked at him his gaze moved down...and down still until at last he came upon the kitten. "....?" He looked at her quizzically. Why..would some one talk to him?

Clover's little tail flicked side to side, but her demeanor was as cheerful as a delighted child. "I said -- Hi." her smile widened as she rubbed against him, purring.

Lylin bit down on his lower lip, shifting his weight to his other front paw. "..'ullo." he replied shyly. When the little thing giggled he couldn't help his head tilting. Why...was she laughing? Did he have something on his face..or maybe she'd just come to make fun of him. Regardless Lylin shrinked back ever so slightly pressing himself against the corner he'd sat in all night, especially as she curled around his feet. His paw went up in the air and he watched her confused.

The little kitty however wouldn't stand for the shyness. Giving him a look she sat herself down on her haunches tilting her head the other direction opposite to the others. "I won't hurt you silly... besides I'm like... less then half your size." She beamed up at him pawing at his raised foot. Apparently she'd taken a liking to the timid panda.

Lylin's brow furrowed. She did have an excellent point....but it didn't calm him just yet. "I know.." he slowly lowered himself so the smaller one didn't have to crane her neck up so much. "You should be out having fun little one." his voice trailed off, startled when he suddenly had a kitten perching on top of his neck and her paws on his head.

Clover's wide grin never left her face. She really did take after Cole in some respects. "Naaaah~ I'm just exploring." She nibbled at his ear tail wagging as if ready to pounce. "You should come with me~?" She leaned over her face upside down just a few inches from his face. "Pleeeeeease?" She mewled.

Her straight foreword demands were not what he was, or ever had been accustomed to. However. Even with that in mind Lylin had a sneaking suspicion there was no getting out of this. Not with the kittens pleading eyes set on him. "I..." he hesitated to actually respond hoping to by time..and some how have a magickal means of making a break for it. However no such opportunity presented it's self. "Guess..I don't see why not." He stared out across all the various people mingling and seeming to have fun. Maybe... just maybe this would mean he didn't have to be lonely either? As much as he liked being left alone, perhaps a little fun wouldn't hurt. Slowly, but surely Lylin shuffled away from his little corner behind the snack table (mind you that he'd been raiding) to follow the little calico's demands of random directions.

( I didn't see anywhere that said whether they were male or female, so I picked. If this is wrong/it was stated somewhere, I apologize )

Orca or Panda?: Orca!
Whimsical's name: Balio
Whimsical's Temper: Graceful
Your own character's name(or cert): Lyco
Entry:

Truth be told, Lyco was not exactly comfortable among so many strangers all milling about, talking, dancing, and some singing, but she came with the hope of getting to know others. She was usually a recluse by choice, far too awkward around strangers to find any courage to speak to them, much less become genuinely acquainted. However, too many nights sitting alone watching the stars with no one to talk to but the fireflies finally took its toll, and the ball seemed to be her best opportunity to break the ice. Even if she left the ball only getting to know one other Whimsy, that was still progress.

Unfortunately, she had not anticipated freezing on the dance floor. Overwhelmed by the lights and music and flowing bodies, it was all she could do just to stand still and not let anyone run into her. This is hopeless, she sighed internally, and she finally forced herself to move one of her feet to leave when she heard something. Twisting one ear around, she turned her head to try to find the source of the noise and determine what it was. There was so much going on, it was nearly impossible to hear, but after a few moments of trying, she finally pinpointed the soft notes wafting over the voices and music.

In one corner sat a sleek Lachkynd. Lyco at first thought she was mistaken, but when she saw the slight movement of the Lachkynd's throat and mouth, she knew that was who was singing. Intrigued, Lyco managed to find the strength to move her legs, and she worked her way through the crowd to pad softly up to the timid wallflower. Now that she was closer, Lyco could better hear the soft notes wafting from the Lachkynd's throat; her ears perked up again, trying to catch every note and decibel.

One step closer alerted the singer to her presence, and Lyco's tail pressed against the backs of her legs with regret when the Lachkynd jumped back a step and quit singing. "I'm sorry!" Lyco quickly apologized, her words falling from her mouth in an embarrassed stammer. "I didn't m-mean to startle you. I just - I just heard something and w-wanted to see who it was, and I..." Pausing, Lyco offered the other Whimsy a timid smile. "You have a beautiful voice. P-Please don't stop because of me."

The Lachkynd just stared at her for a moment, caught completely off guard, but after a moment of getting his bearings straight, he replied nearly as softly as his singing earlier, "Th...Thank you." His fins meekly folded against his back. "I...didn't think anyone would hear me."

"I almost didn't," Lyco admitted. "It's a shame - your voice is wonderful." Hesitantly, she looked up at him and offered another small smile. "B-But if you don't want anyone else to hear, that's fine...but...could I stay and listen? If you d-don't mind, of course."

Flustered, the Lachkynd looked everywhere but her for a brief moment, clearly not at all certain how to react to such an innocent request. Lyco was about to take back her request and leave to quit upsetting him when he finally replied, "I...s-sure. I don't mind." He ducked his head shyly when he saw how happy that made the other Whimsy.

"I'm Lyco," she said as she sat to make herself comfortable.

"B-Balio," he answered, and after a brief moment to gather his nerves once more, he began to sing softly again to his audience of one.

Orca or Panda?: Orca
Whimsical's name: Taboo
Whimsical's Temper: gentle
Your own character's name(or cert): Omiko
Entry:
The alarm clock wailed with excitement, it was time to get up! It was way past time to get up! Omiko picked up the small clock, hitting the snooze button and looked at it. It was only five at night, thats not so bad. She put the clock down on her pillow and sighed. It was five at night? Omiko flung the blankets off and quickly and looked at the clock once again. "Its five all ready?!" she yelled at the clock,"I'm going to be late! Why didn't you wake me sooner?!" she talked to it again, as if it could talk back. Running to her kitchen she found her invitation to The Black and White Ball on the fridge, ball starts at six. "Great," she growled and ran back to her closet and took out her dress. She changed as quickly as she could and moved into the bathroom fixing her hair and accessories. Her phone rang loudly in the other room, she picked it up quickly. "Hello?" No one there, getting an angry hang up from Omiko, a prank call. She pushed the talk button and called a cab, luckily there was one around the corner.
Omiko practically threw money at the cab driver and rushed inside. She was a half hour late, and she hated to be late. She looked around a little embarrased, she wasn't the only one late but she was one of the only ones alone. She sighed, cursing that in her excitement she forgot to invite someone. Omiko walked around slowly, hoping someone around was open for conversation. But so far, everyone she had seen was with someone or happily chatting away. She frowned slightly in sadness, she really was alone. Her feet eventually lead her to a back corner where she saw the most beautiful Orca she had ever seen. Her eyes widened slightly as she took in the sight, all alone but still mouthing to the music. Mouthing? Orcas dont mouth, she figured he must have been singing, but softly. She took a few steps closer, hoping to hear the singing better, with no avail. He seemed to have noticed her and nodded slightly with a tiny smile, but still singing. Omiko smiled back and inches closer and closer. The song ended and Omiko smiled even bigger.
"You sing wonderfully," she said the Orca softly, not wanting to scare him.
"Why thank you," he said, keeping a small smile,"It's not often I find myself having an audiance."
"You havent tried in front of more people?" Omiko asked. That was surprising, usually Orca's sung loudly for everyone to hear.
"Well, you see, tonite I am alone and a little afraid to even think about going in front of anyone and singing," he said with a sad smile. Omiko smiled back and thought for a minute.
"Why not try now? I know your voice is beautiful, im sure others would think the same!" she said excitedly.
"No no," he chuckled,"I dont know if anyone would like my singing."
"One song wouldn't hurt wold it?" Omiko asked,"I know! I'll sing with you!" The orca seemed to have perked up.
"You would?" he asked a little surprised.
"Of course!" Omiko nodded,"I'm not as good of a singer as you are but i'll sing with you." The orca smiled.
"Sounds like a good plan," he trailled off,"what was your name?" he tilted his head slightly.
"Oh! My name is Omiko," she smiled,"and you are?"
"Taboo," the orca smiled,"Its nice to meet you." Aside from being alone in the beginning, it was going better than either of them had hoped

Orca or Panda?:Orca
Whimsical's name:Bailon
Whimsical's Temper:Shy
Your own character's name(or cert): Empress
Entry:
Sitting and watching as others danced and twirled around her Empress only sighed. She knew no one here. Not a soul. She wished to dance. She wished to sing. But if she did, her feelings told her, she would only make a fool of herself amongst strangers. Oh how she wanted a friend. How she wanted a companion. Green eyes watched longingly. Wanting. Hungering for a friend. She held loyalty as a top priority. A true undying friend till the end. But her shyness got in her way of actually making any friends. And so here she sat, watching the others have a wonderful time while she was miserable. The sabikynd had almost made up her mind to just leave when a low mournful song met her ears. It was beautiful yet sad, all mixed into one. Could it be?Empress thought Could there be one as lonely as me? Unable to resist meeting a kindred soul, Empress followed the low lulling sound and soon her eye rested on a most unusual sight. Indeed there in a corner sat quite shy fellow, his head held low as his eyes watched the others as he softly sang. "How lovely." she muttered not realizing she had said it aloud. He jumped and stared at her, "Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disturb anyone." "Oh!" Empress finally noticed she had said it aloud, "You're not bothering me at all. I...." she paused for a moment, "I actually came to see who was singing. Because I liked it. You have such a lovely voice. So lulling and smooth." He watched her, "You....you liked my singing?" "Oh yes I did very much so?" her tail moved with excitement. "Do you mind if I ask your name?" Nodding to her, "Bailon." came as a smooth wave. "Bailon? Such a pretty name. I'm Empress." she introduced herself with a slight bow. "Very nice to meet you Empress." Bailon asked, "Are you here with friends?" Shaking her head she looked some what sad. "Oh. No I'm not. I really don't know anyone here. It was getting lonesome sitting all alone." Bailong watched her, "You don't have any friends." Empress shook her head, "None. I'm just to shy to talk to anyone." The orca gave a soft song like chuckle, "But you are talking to me." he pointed out. Eyes widening a bit as the revelation settled on her, indeed she was. She was talking to him as to someone she knew quiet well. "You are right. It seems I am. And now, " Empress beamed a warm smile, "I'm not lonely. Bailon?" Tilting his head, "Yes?" Empress continued, "Would you mind if I stayed here and maybe sang with you? We both wouldn't be lonely any more if we have each other." Bailon softly smiled, "I..I think I would like that very much." Settling next to him the two talked and giggled in happy company of one another. One may be the loneliest number, but with a friend you are never alone. And so the two softly sang to one another, letting the sound drift and weave between the dancers, a soft melody that no longer seemed sad or lonely.
