The Ethereal Plane is a plane not easily discovered, or reached.And those who are there, are quite capable at passing between planes of existance easily.So easily, that this is their last chance at rest, relaxation, and peace from those who wish to destroy and gain.
In a time long forgotten, several Mages and Warlocks found themselves in the Ethereal Plane, and were about to kill each other.When the diplomat amongst them rose above the others with his mighty voice, and explained what they should do to settle this.What he said, was history.A history tht can neither be changed, nor unheard of.
The man was a Mage, a simple mage of a very young age, from the Material Realm.He called himself Sansaku, and he was the Walking Destruction.He suggested, that they band together with their masive strengths, and create a realm.A realm, where good and evil would settle things through life and death.They were to play, a game of god.
And so it was, those many eons ago, that the realm of Ethereum, was born.And in it, many a plant life and animal life, each of its own kind from whichever planet or realm it may have come from.This place, Ethereum, balanced perfectly.In in their immortal wisdom, the creators settled their differences to look after, and tend to the land and all its people.
Ethereum had peace, prosperity, and darkness lurking around ever corner.But for every nogooder, there was a dogooder, and thus the balance was sustained as neutral, rather than good or evil.In time, six of the already Elderly creators passed on, and left the lands to Sansaku, and through this; Sansaku did somethign truely wondrous.He assigned positions of authority to the most spoken heroes of the lands.
To Jiseki the Omnipotent, he assigned the job of Gaurdianship.Jiseki was to gaurd each and every entrance and exit to the realm all at once, and keep intruders who might disrupt the balance, out of the realm.To do this, he was given the gift of omni-astral_projection.He could be everywhere at once, and not even break a sweat.
To the mysterious Harvester, he assigned the task of Harvesting.The Harvester would go and seperate the souls from the bodies, and send them to the area which they so deserved to go to.To do this, he was also given the gift of Omni-astral-projection.
To the mighty Raze of Storm he assigned a watching position.Raze, with his fist of iron, ruled the mischievous lands with an iron fist and a head no less hard, and through that he achieved prosperity in his lands.He too, was given the gift of Omni-astral-projection.
To the gentle Druid Solaris, he assigned the task of giving life.To every woman with child, Solaris had to breathe life into the being upon its birth, and pronounce it a creature of unspeakable beauty, who might prosper in the lands of Ethereum.Solaris needn't the projection to do what he did, he simply played his music, and that was enough to give anything life.
Lastly, Sansaku destroyed Time itself.Ethereum, would never die of age, and neither would anything within it.People would only die of disease, wounds, famon, drought, and pure wickedness.Sansaku, now an Elder of unfathomable wisdom and age, sat atop the highest mountain of Ethereum, and watched the lands forever more, lest he be needed again.
But one day, within lands created by the people, there arose a great mountain, greater than any therebefore, upon which the mighty Aerine challenged the people of Ethereum, and then awaited them.Through all of this, Sansaku came to the people, who recognised him only upon being told by the elders who he was, and upon councilling with every elder from every land, they cawme upon a conclusion.
Aerine would recieve his challenge, when the children of Lyria came forth and opposed himj.In the meantime, Aerine was to do the same as Sansaku, and watch the lands lest he feel the need to cause a misfortune in the path of the chosen warriors.
many suns, and many moons passed, and during them Solaris breathed massive amounts of life into five children, and those where the children of Lyria.Sansaku smiled in approval, as he praised Solaris, and then bestowed upon the children, each a specific talent.
To the youngest of the children, he gave a great gift of Wisdom.One which he expected her to use in the most haneous of situations, and one which would put the elders to awe.And so it was, she was the Lyrian of Wisdom.
To the oldest of the children, he gave great skill in the arts of craftmanship.And with those skills, that boy would create the finest weapons, items, and materials Ethereum would ever see, and with those they would challenge Aerine.And so it was, he was the Lyrian of Craft and Creation.
To the child in the middle by age, he bestowed massive amounts of Will and Strength.So much so, that he would be able to lift massive beasts with ease, and move massive objects with little trouble, and he needn't a weapon.And so it was, he was the Lyrian of Unparalelled Strength.
To the second youngest, he bestowed great sensory abilities.With this, she would hear as well as any animal, she would see as well as any eagle, she would fel as well as any animal, and she would smell as well as any canis or lupus creature.And so it was, she was the Lyrian of Humane Animality.
And to the second oldest, he bestowed the most wonderful gift of all.He bestowed upon him, the gift of great understanding, compassion, spiritual healing, and last of all: The gift of Magickal Superiority.A superiority that would be unrivaled by no one save Sansaku himself.A skill of magick, that would never be looked down upon, and a skill of magick so vast, that he would be able to learn or do anything within the boundries of allowance so stated by Sansaku.And so it was, he was the Lyrian of Magick and Diplomacy.
And so it was, that these five children would someday band together and confront Aerine, ultimately becoming his downfall and undoing.To this, Aerine laughed, and he laughed so massively that it shook the lands of Ethereum.Then, for the first time in all of recorded history, Sansaku made an act of battle.He arose from his mountain, turned to Aerine, and cursed him to forever wait on the mountain for his doom and demise, cursed to stay and fight until the end, cursed to never leave the mountaintop where his glorious manour resided, even after death lest he be torn apart day by day by the creatures of the land until the children showed him mercy and ended him.
These, were the last events of Ethereum that were of any great significance, and from then until now, Aerine simply waited, and the children simply grew.

One character per person.I will only be violated this rule because I wish for certain characters to be portrayed a certain way, those characters will be portrayed that way by me.
No character controlling is permitted unto anyone except myself, and I will only be allowed to use it when this thread dies and people stop posting.I will minorly control your character to get it up and alive again.
No god-modding.So your characters are heroes, great, but that doesn't mean you are all invincibile.If I waned someone to be invicible I would have choen ONE person for the task of destroying Aerine, rather than five who when joined together are a great and mighty force to be reckoned with.
You MUST post more than one paragraph a post.I know that's a lot for some people, but this reation goes far beyond Gaia, I started this realm on Yahoo and I made it for the elite.I don't want to see it reduced to one-paragraph posts.

As for the characters.If you are going to be a certain character, there are certain things that person can and can not have/do/be.They are as follows:
The Lyrian of Wisdom.SHE is WISE.Not smart-mouthed and foul-tempered.She is calm, considerate, and very knowledgeable.Keep it that way.
The Lyrian of Unparalelled Strength.HE is POWERFUL.Very much so.He probably knows there ois no one stronger than him, so he's probably a bit big-headed.But where he excells in strength he's not so fast.He fights with his FISTS and nothing else, and he probably brags a lot.Egotistical you might say.
The Lyrian of Humane Animality.SHE has the gift of animalistic traits.She can see as far as any eagle and as well as any cat.She probably doesn't abide by a lot of human mannerisms.For instance, she might not wear pretty clothes, and she probably carries no armor.The rest is pretty much free choice for her.
The Lyrian of Craft and Creation.HE is SKILLED and EFFICIENT.He is not gentle and loving, he works in front of a Kiln all day making metallic objects, he's probably very harsh and intimidating; not to mention testy.
Let's try and stick to those guidlines for the characters, I know it doesn't give much freedom, but if a character is bestowed something; they will carry attitude traits with that gift, that's only common sense.The above gives you an idea of what the character might and should be like, though you can make it vary in certain places.
