Are there any characters you resemble or relate to? They can be characters played by real people, or animated ones.
I don't think I look like anyone in particular, but of all the anime I've seen, the character I most closely relate to is Alex Rose from Last Exile.
Last Exile is a good story. If you haven't watched it, I recomment it.

OMG!! Everyone should know that Sephiroth in final fantasy was a badazz cuz he had an ipod that ran from his back pocked into his ear. But he got all pissed when he was thrown in the earth because he couldn't charge it for a very long time. When he got out, he updated his playlist and went back to PWNING noobs.
EVERYONE knows he only lost to Cloud because Total Eclipse of the Heart came up on shuffle when they was hashin it out. I mean, that would f__k with anyone's mojo, am I right?

i mean, god. you feel sorry for the alcoholics, but you have sex at how old? 14 years old and now you can't go to college because your parents hate you and the father cheated on you.

heart I also deeply relate to Freya from Chobits. She had a deep sense of love in her heart and all she wanted was to share it with someone. When she realized that it was impossible, she just died. Like she went to bed, and via the will to live no more... she didn't. Yes it's selfish I suppose. But some of us are a little too sentimental for our own good at times.
And there being someone for everyone... that's just a fairy tale. I realize that to the fullest extent possible. heart
