You mean drum major? Or drill captain? Because that's kind of confusing, what you're asking.

As drum major, you should've gone to a camp. As a drill captain (of the percussion section) you should be teaching your section how to march and taking responsibility of your section.

I think drum captain is the captain of the whole percussion section, like a giant section leader biggrin Or at least thats how it is in our band.
