The Quest
⊹⊱⋛⋋♥⋌⋚⊰⊹ Welcome • • •Whew! Finally got all the basic info up. I'll be adding more as I come up with things. What I really need right now is some critique. I think there is enough info on the Wish and Guardian for it to work. So, please! All critique is welcome! Below is a few fun facts. xDDDD
Oh, and I'm totally going for a full custom (haha, yeah. that's MY wish).
This Wish is going to be based on the middle star in Orion's Belt, Alnilam, also known as Epsilon Orionis. This star is the thirtieth brightest star in the night sky along with the most powerful. Alnilam is labled as a blue star because of its mass and is predicted to turn into a red star and go super nova. It is also the eleventh star used as a navigational tool.

Hair: Black. Although, once again, it sparkles in a range of color in bright sunlight or moonlight.

Clothing: VintagePersonality • • •Overall: Epsilon is very outgoing and optimistic to the point of irritation. He’s always looking on the bright side of things, able to find that silver lining in life. He likes to laugh, using it as his shield whenever his emotions take a turn and he starts to feel awkward or angry. The star is very gentle, hating cruelty in any form. That doesn’t mean he won’t take a stand for what he thinks is right though. His personality is very strong, able to withstand harsh words and actions without even flinching. Epsilon can become very determined in whatever he does and won’t give up, even if he’s failed a million times. If he believes what he’s doing is right, he’ll never stop. He may seem ditzy but he's very dependable with a seriousness that fits his age.

Clothing: UrbanPersonality • • •Overall: Basil is very quiet and withdrawn. He enjoys reading books over spending time with people or hanging out in large crowds. He mostly stays cooped up on his little plot of land just going for walks with his dog or tending the garden out back. Most people think that Basil stays solely at his home because of his blindness, but he honestly just doesn't like being around people he doesn't know. Conversations tend to be awkward around him as he has a very little sense of humor and just doesn't get that jokes people try to make to lighten the mood.
The teen is very strong though, never having given in to what could have been a mentally debilitating illness. He has learned braille and knows how to listen exactly the right way to move around without being hindered. Basil is actually content in his own quiet way, not exactly happy...but just, fine.
Likes: Reading, going for walks, Molly, quiet, gardening and beef sukiyaki
Dislikes: Being alone, treated like an invalid, excited people, and sports

Other points of interests: People often assume that because Basil is blind, he can't do anything for himself. As long as he has his seeing eye dog, Molly, with him, he can go anywhere and do anything. Although Basil can get depressed because of how people treat him, he doesn't think of his blindness as a handicap, instead, going at it with a "handi-capable" sort of attitude. Various: Uncle Benjamin HarperHistory • • •Basil was born blind from a mother who was wrought with bouts of pneumonia all throughout her pregnancy. Sometime during Basil's early childhood, his mother walked out on him, leaving him with just his heart broken father, Andrew. Andrew then threw himself into his work as a brand adviser to distract himself, leaving Basil in the clutches of his brother, Benjamin. For most of his childhood, Basil grew up under the care of his uncle, living in a big empty house out in the countryside.
After Andrew had managed to pull himself together, Basil left the house of his uncle to live with his father in the city for a few years. Deciding that the city wasn't for him, Basil moved back to the countryside after he was eighteen, wanting to finally be left alone after years of hoping for companionship. The Hope
⊹⊱⋛⋋♥⋌⋚⊰⊹ What it's really about • • •I'm still debating whether to make Basil blind or not. It fits in well with the story, aiding Basil in being stronger than he initially could be. The literal brightness of Epsilon ties in rather well with the literal darkness of Basil. I'm still not sure though, so that's why I really need critique.
As far as the wish goes, Basil is not wishing to "have his sight returned," exactly. Since he was born blind, there's nothing that he's actually missing. He has no problem being blind, having been that way for...well, forever.
What Basil is really wishing for is "a light in this darkness." It's a bit of a vague wish, made because he's lonely by himself. He doesn't want to be treated like an outcast or like there is something wrong with him. The wish could end up coming to Epsilon taking it on the surface and simply healing Basil of his blindness, or he could take it a step further and essentially rehabilitated Basil back into society, acting as a sort of go-between. In essence, Epsilon would become friends and find friends for Basil.
Not sure if that really makes sense. I just don't want to make this in a "oh, I'm blind, heal me!" type of thing. Basil is blind, yes, but I want there to be more of a deeper meaning to his wish, not something so...superficial. I sort of want the wish to be one of hope...or happiness really. Something that pertains to the want of human nature.Extra Characters

Benjamin Harper: The uncle of Basil. The man is more than a little twisted. He's not insane, but can be described as beyond his years and ahead of his times. He's currently working on a secret project and tends to yell at people who ask too many questions.
Andrew Harper: The father of Basil. He's the Account Planner for his advertising firm and his never around, too busy immersing himself in today's up and coming culture.
Lawrence Forney: Goes by the name of Forney. He showed up on Basil's doorstep one day out of the blue. He's a ex-patisserie, previously working with Benjamin on the old man's "latest project." The two had a falling out and Forney was kicked out. He likes to push his luck with Basil.
Youngju Cho: Comes by to clean Benjamin's house every week. Also visits Basil. Tries to clean and cook for the kid but fails.
