Chapter. 1 Awakening Memories
The wind blows across a field of tall grass, in the same rhythmic beat of the waves of the ocean crashing against the cliffs. Upon the field are many white pillars, with strange markings. Lying in the grass is a little girl, fast asleep. Her beautiful long white hair was put up in two pigtails. She was wearing a white dress that sparkled against the wind. Upon her forehead was a mark of a white star, almost hidden behind her bangs.
"Princess...".
The little girl opened her eyes and sat up and stretched. She looked towards the pillars and standing there was a figure in a purple cloak. Their face was hidden.
"Princess, come, the queen waits for you," the figure said. The princess got up.
"And don't forget your friend there," the figure pointed at the spot next to her.
Lying there was a small bundle of white fur. The princess bent down and petted the fur. The fur ball moved and a little wolf cub emerged. The wolf cub looked up at the princess and wagged its tail. The princess's yellow eyes shined against the sun's rays.
Suddenly the sky turned black and fireballs started raining from the sky. They crashed into the pillars and a circle of fire surrounded the princess and the wolf cub.
"Princess....Taiya...Taiya, wake up".
A 15 year old girl with long white hair in pigtails and yellow eyes awoke with a jerk.
"Taiya are you okay?" asked a girl her age with long black hair and green eyes.
"Yes, I think so Madison," answered Taiya. She then looked around the room, at the worried looks her classmates were giving her.
"Oh no, here comes Ms. D," whispered Madison. An older woman with short brown hair and green eyes walked over to Taiya's desk.
"Ms. Suno is you alright? You were screaming in your sleep," she asked.
"Yeah I think so," replied Taiya. Ms. D put her hand up to Taiya's forehead.
"You feel a bit warm. I'll send you to the nurse's office. I'll write you and Ms. Morrow a pass. Ms. Morrow, help her gather her things, and yours as well, to go."
Madison began gathering here's and Taiya's stuff while Ms. D wrote their pass.
"But Mrs. D, I really...ouch!"
Something kicked her. Madison told her to be quiet and play along. Taiya grabbed their pass and she and Madison walked out the classroom door. As soon as they were a while away Taiya asked "Why did you kick me?"
"Because," said Madison, "Not only do I need a break but you look like you need one too. After you're done with the nurse, we can go to the beach. That will make you feel better."
Taiya smiled. She and Madison were very close. They were beyond best friends. When Taiya moved from Tokoville to come live in Junotown, she didn't have a lot of friends. However the next week her neighbors moved. Then Madison's family moved on. The moment they met they became very close. They had many parties, sleepovers, and secrets together. Especially one secret.
"So when you were sleeping, were you having that dream again?" asked Madison.
Taiya nodded. Ever since she turned 15, she's been having the same dream for nights.
"I don't know why I have it. At first I thought it was something I ate but it lasted to long. Then I thought I got it from watching a scary movie but I haven't seen anything that would trigger that."
"Don't worry," said Madison, "I'm sure it will go away."
After going to the nurse's office, the girls went further down the hall to the school door. Taiya was excused from school and since her mother couldn't come and get her, Madison was asked to take her home. The girls opened their backpacks and took out their roller skates and safety gear.
"Let's go to your house and get our swimsuits and head to the beach," said Madison.
"Okay," said Taiya as she finished clicking on her skates, "Ready?"
Madison nodded and they skated off. Soon they were skating down the road passing homes and cars on their way. Finally they reached Taiya's house. A beautiful white two-story house. The flower gardens on the sides of Taiya's house were busy with butterflies, ladybugs, and bees. The lawn was soft, springy, and green. Because it's watered almost all the time thought Taiya.
The girls walked down the pavement onto Taiya's front steps. She opened the door and Madison and she went inside. They passed through the living to the stairs.
"Hey what's that delicious smell?" asked Madison.
"I guess my mom made some cookies before she left."
"Well I'll get the swimsuits and you bag us some cookies," said Madison and she disappeared upstairs.
Taiya went into the kitchen. Sure enough there were fresh baked chocolate chip cookies on the cookie sheet.Taiya opened a drawer and pulled out a sandwich bag. She put the cookies in the bag and went into the living room. She sat on the couch and turned on the TV.
"Hey Taiya which bathing suit do you went to wear?" yelled Madison.
"The silver two piece," Taiya yelled back.
"Alright then." Taiya turned to the weather channel. The weather man was on.
"And a sunny day today. For all you people that are lying on the couch at home get up and go to the beach." Madison walked in with their little beach backpacks.
"Okay let's go." Taiya nodded and turned off the TV. They walked outside and put their skates and gear on.
"Hey girls."
The girls looked up. At the end of the pavement was a 17 year old boy. He had short blond hair and green eyes.
"Hey Andrew," said Madison. Madison blushed. She had a crush on him.
"So where are you girls headed?"
"Oh," said Madison, blushing darker, "We're heading to the beach. Would you like to come?"
"Well actually I have to get to work. Maybe some other time."
"Okay;" said Madison looking a little down. Taiya stood up. "Well let's go."
"Hey Taiya, can I talk to you for a sec?" asked Andrew/ She looked over at Madison. She was looking down. Taiya skated over to Andrew.
He whispered, "Hey don't tell Madison or anything but does she have a boyfriend. I mean I kind of have a thing for her." He looked at her. She blushed.
"No, she doesn't have a boyfriend and by the way, she has a crush on you too." Andrew's eyes widen.
"Really?" Taiya nodded.
"Well I better be going, see ya. Bye Madison." He waved at them and jogged off.
"So what did he want?" asked Madison.
"Um, nothing really," replied Taiya, "Hey are we going to change her or at the beach?" she asked wanting to change the subject.
"I guess there," said Madison, seeming hurt. "Let's go and she skated off. Taiya followed right behind.
The beach was much crowed. Even the changing rooms were full with long lines in front.
"Let's go collect shells while we wait for the lines to get short," said Taiya. Madison agreed.
The girls walked down the beach taking off their socks and shoes on the way. They had to hold up their school uniform skirts so they wouldn't get wet. The ocean breeze was great. It also seemed to calm Madison down. They kept walking further down. Madison looked up. There weren't any people around. They must have walked too far.
"Hey Taiya let's head back."
Taiya nodded and they started walking back when suddenly a loud shaken sound was heard. They looked up. There were flashes of lightning and thunder. Then it started to rain. Taiya looked ahead. She still didn't see the beach. She turned around.
"Hey let's go take shelter in that cave over there," she pointed to a bunch of big rocks that cave come from.
"It wasn't there before," said Madison.
"Who cares," said Taiya. She grabbed Madison's hand and pulled her to the cave. When they reached the cave they stopped. There was a strange bluish glow coming from inside.
"Maybe we should go somewhere else. Taiya are you listening to me?" Madison waved her hand on front of Taiya's face. She didn't respond.
"Taiya."
Madison tugged on her shirt. Still she didn't respond. Then she walked inside. Madison didn't want to go in but she didn't want to be alone either so followed. As they walked further in the cave, the walls were lighted with little bluish crystals. The crystals formed pictures of people, animals, and even what seemed like a castle. Taiya stopped.
"Taiya, are you okay now?" asked Madison. She shook Taiya's shoulders. Taiya blinked.
"Where are we?" she asked looking around.
"I was going to ask you the same."
"Hey look," Taiya pointed in front of them. There was a humongous picture in front of them. There were pillars formed in a circle. In the circle were 7 people in a circle. They were each a different color with a symbol shown above each of them. In the center were two people. One was golden with a double star above them. The other was silver with a silver star above them, and what appeared to be a necklace around their neck. On the necklace was a star.
Taiya walked up to touch it. The minute she touched it, the cave started shaking. The ground split apart. Rocks were coming down. Madison grabbed Taiya and pulled her over to a safe place. The picture started glowing brighter. Suddenly the shaking stopped.
"What was that about?" said Madison.
Then the picture cracked and split apart. A statue appeared. The statue was that of a fairy. The wings were the only part that had color, besides the pink eyes.
"Who dares come into this holy, sacred room of Queen Tiaras?"
"We were just taking shelter from the storm," answered Taiya.
"Only those of the elements could be in this room. What are your names?"
"Madison and Taiya," answered Taiya.
"Hm.....maybe you're the protectors of the elements. Hold out your hands."
They did and a burst of light came out. The girls had to shield their eyes of the blinding light. When it stopped, they looked. On each of their right hand, they had a ring. Taiya's was silver and Madison's was green.
"Those are your special rings. When you're in danger, call to the rings for help and you'll receive powers."
"What dangers, what powers?" asked Madison.
"I sense that both of you have special hidden powers. One of you could be the princess of legends."

Chapter.2 The Princess of Legends
"The Princess of Legends? What's that about?" asked Madison.
"The Princess of Legends is a friend of the elements. She is has a special power that along with the elements, wards off evil. Her special item could also destroy a planet if put in the wrong hands. You with the white hair, hold out your hands."
Taiya held out her hands infront of the statue. Beams came out of it's eyes. The beams formed into a ball of light. Soon the light started to take shape. In Taiya's hands was a crystal ball.
"What's this for?"
"It's a magic ball that will help you find the other elements and their crystals. You must also find your own powers. Your crystals will make your powers stronger. When you have all 8 elements and their crystals, you will come here. Then I will tell you more. Until then, farewell."
The cave started to finish.
"Wait, where will we find you?" asked Taiya.
"You won't, I'll find you."
The cave fanished. The girls looked around. They were at the beach. They looked at other.
"Was that a dream?" asked Taiya.
"Does this hurt?" asked Madison as she elbowed down on Taiya's head.
"Yes!" yelled Taiya, rubbing her head. "Well let's get this over with."
"Hang on. That fairy thing didn't tell us how to find the other thingings or where to start looking," said Madison.
"Fine. I assumed that you wee smart enough to do this on your own but it seems O was wrong."
A portal opened. Out stepped what appeared to be a slightly larger than wolf. It had beautiful snow white fur and lovely yellow eyes. Around it's neck was what assumed to be a silver chain with a silver star locket.
"What's that?" gasped Madison, "It looks dangerous."
She put her hand towards it to kpet it but it snapped at her almost taking her fingers off. "Whoa!" yelled Madison and she hide behind Taiya.
"This is Sheba. The princess always had her beside her. She's the princess' loyal guardian. She'll help you out. Just follow her." The portal disappeared.
"Just one more thing!" yelled Taiya.
"What! I'm getting impatient."
"You never told us what elements we are or our powers."
"That's something that you'll have to figure out on you own." Then it was quiet.
Oh great! Not only do we have to find 8 other people and their crystals things for some possessed statue, to help some fantasy princess, but now were stuck with white fang here who is ready to have my hand for a chew toy! complained Madison.
I dont know about that, replied Taiya.
She looked at the wolf. The wolf looked at her. Taiya reached out her hand, Sheba looked a little nervous. Taiya held her hand in front of Sheba. Sheba sniffed it. She looked at Taiya. Then something strange happened. Sheba started wagging her tail like a dog. She jumped on Taiya and licked her.
Stop Sheba, she said, laughing. The wolf backed down and started walking off.
I swear Taiya, you make some of the strangest friends, except me of course.
Taiya got up and dust the sand off her skirt. Come on, lets follow Sheba. So the girls followed Sheba through the beach.
Oh no! said Madison, gragging Tayias hand. Look, theres people over there.
So whats the big deal?
Well, if we walk down there with that killer wolf, then people will panic. Madison had a good point. But then Sheba turned. She was walking up a deserted path that lead into the woods.
Come on, said Taiya, pulling Madison hand. They climbed the rocky path and later were in the woods. Madison was starting to get scared and mad.
Taiya, why are we doing this? I mean how do we know that we can trust Sheba into leading us the right way. Hey look! She pointed ahead.
In front was a rock. At least it looked like a rock. It was until they got closer that they discovered it was a small triangle statue. It had strange drawlings on it. The one that caught Taiyas eye was the drawling that looked like the same fairy statue.
Hey thats the same fairy that we saw earlier. So this must mean were going the right way, said Madison.
Sheba walked over to the statue and stood beside it. She looked at them.
So what do we do now? asked Madison.
I dont know, replied Taiya.
She walked up to the statue. She bent down to feel around for any pushing buttons. She found none. She stood back up.
Well there arent any buttons, she said.
Maybe theres something under it, said Madison. The girls grabbed the statue and tried to pick it up. After 2 minutes of nothing, they sat down, exhausted and breathing hard. The wolf was just staring at them.
Hey Taiya, what about that crystal ball that fairy gave you? asked Madison. Taiya forgot all about it. She took it out of her backpack. She held it up against the statue. Nothing. Then words began to appear. Mount. Forestin.
Mount. Forestin, said Taiya.
Suddenly the statue lit up. The girls got up and looked. Above the statue appeared a portal.
You did it! said Madison happily. Now what?
Sheba got up and jumped in the portal. The girls looked at each other and nodded. They held hands and jumped into the portal. The girls were zooming fast in the portal until boom. Taiya looked up. A lot of pine trees were around and some flowers. Ahead was a mountain.
Taiya please get off. Taiya looked down.
She was sitting on Madisons back. No wonder she had such a soft landing.
Sorry, she said blushing.
Madison got up and spit the dirt out of her mouth. Then dusted herself off. Next time, you go first, she said. There was a soft barking. Well sort of barking. Sheba was trying to get their attention. She was standing next to a sign. It said Mount. Forestin.
Were here, said Madison, Look theres a cave.
To Taiyas relief there was a cave. Good, she thought, I didnt bring my hiking boots. So Taiya and Madison followed Sheba into the cave. The cave was dark, musy, and well a cave. Please dont let there be any bats, thought Taiya. There was a little light but enough to see where they were going. In front of them was another statue. The statue had flower and tree cravings on it. On its forehead was a pink flower. But around its neck was a green necklace. In the center of the necklace was a green flower, that had a green crystal in the middle.
That must be it, said Taiya.
Um, Taiya, I think you should look at this, said Madison, pointing up. Taiya looked up. Clung along the caves ceiling were bats. Giant bats to be precise.
Maybe if were really quiet, they wont notice us, whispered Taiya, shaking a little. Madison nodded and they walked over to the statue and Sheba. That was until Taiys stepped on something. She and Madison looked down. It was a human skull or the remains of it.
Ahhhhhhhhhh! they screamed.
Suddenly the bats opened their eyes. They saw Madison and Taiya. They landed in front of them blocking the way out, Sheba ran in front of the girls and started growling.
What do we do now? Sheba is a big killer wolf but I dont think she can take on all those bats, said Madison.
Taiya knew she was right. She looked around for something she could use as a weapon. Nothing. Then she remembered.
"What about our rings? That fairy statue said if we ever got into danger, we should call on the rings for help." Madison nodded. They held out their hands.
"Please mysterious power within thy rings," said Taiya, "Help us in our time of need."
Bright lights came from the rings. The light flowed through the girls' bodies. The lights stopped. They looked at each other. They knew what to do. They knew how to fight , but most of all they knew their powers.
"I'm the element of wind," said Taiya.
"And I'm the element of nature," said Madison. "Well now that we know what elements we are, let's fight!"
"Right on," agreed Taiya, "Sheba come back."
The wolf ran back behind them.
"Wind!" called Taiya.
A white light came from her ring. The light fromed into a figure. It was a person, or at least the body and head of a person. It had long white hair and a white feathered dress. It also had large wings on its back.
"Nature!" called Madison.
A green light came out of her ring. The figure was also a person. Except its arms were bracnches and vines. It had a dark green dress on and its head, shoulders, neck, and arms were light green.
"Wow," said Taiya.
Sheba started growling again. They had totally forgotten about the bats.
"Wind..." "Earth...." "Attack!"
The wind was very fast. IT flew around the bats until they got dizzy. THen it formed a chain around them by wrapping itself around them. It then floated up where there was a little opening and threw them outside. The Earth wasn't as fast but still as good. Vines came out of its branches and grabbed the bats. Then it smashed the bats against the wall, knocking them out. Then the wind and earth figures turned around to Madison and Taiya. They bowed and turned back into klights, and vanished into the rings.
"Wow that was so cool!" said Taiya.
She and Madison hugged each other, laughing together.
"Oh the crystal," said Madison. It was still there.
"Who should get it? asked Taiya.
"I guess I will," replied Madison.
She took a big gulp and walked towards the statue. She reached out and touched the necklace. It shined back. She took it off the statue. It glowed a preety green color. She put it on. Then light came out of it. The light deemed down to a soft pulsing glow. Her ring glowed in the same rhythm as the necklace.
"Well it's settled," said Madison, "This is the Nature crystal and it belongs to me."
"Okay let's head back out," said Taiya.
So Sheba and the girls, walked out of the cave to the same statue that brought them there. Taiya got the crystal ball out and held it next to the statue. It said 'Duostara'.
"Duostara!" called Taiya.
Another portal appeared. Sheba jumped in first.
"I hope this is all over before 5:00 o'clock tonight. I can't miss my movie," said Taiya. Madison looked at Taiya.
"You're going in first this time," she said.
So Taiya jumped in and Madison followed.
"I feel it, the power of one of the elements. This means the princess will awaken soon. We must find them and kill them before that happens. Star princess, I will make sure that you won't beat me again!!!"

Chapter.3 The Death Planet
The sight was unbelievable. So horrible. The land was nothing more than dust. The trees and bushes were scorched. Around them laid shattered bones.
"Oh my gosh," said Madison.
She was so shocked, she put her hand over her mouth to hide it.
Something about this place seems very familiar, thought Taiya, I feel like I've been here before.
A sadness built up inside her. A tear fell from her eye. She didn't know why. The sky was a blood red. Sheba wimpered as well.
"Taiya, what's wrong?" asked Madison.
"Nothing's wrong," answered Taiya, but the tears wouldn't stop.
Suddenly there was a loud shriek behind them. They turned around.
"What is that thing?" asked Madison.
It appeared to be a giant bird of some kind. It looked at them.
"On the count of three we run," said Taiya.
Madison nodded. Sheba growled. The bird raised it's wings and shrieked. The wind from it's wings knocked them down.
"Three!"
The girls and Sheba got up and ran. Taiya looked back. The bird was just standing there. She stopped.
"Hey Taiya, come on!" called Madison.
"But it's just standing there," answered Taiya,"Maybe it's stupid, like a dodo bird."
The bird's head feathers went up.
"Ah, oh. Taiya, I think you made if mad," said Madison. T
he bird then let out a couple shrieks.
What is it doing, thought Taiya.
"Taiya look at the sky!"
Taiya looked up. THe sky was filled with more enormous birds. The other bird was now in the air, coming after them.
"Run again!" yelled Taiya.
THe girls and Sheba ran as fast as they ever ran before. The birds kept swooping down, tryiong to catch them with their enormous razor sharp talons.
"Oh,no! We're running out of land!" yelled Taiya.
They were running to a cliff.
"What so we do?!" asked Madison, ducking another from another bird.
Taiya looked back. The birds were gaining on them. There was no way they could turn around. There was only one choice.
"Madison, grab my hand!" Madison did.
"We're going to jump," said Taiya.
"What! Are you crazzyyyyyy!!!!!!!!".
Sheba jumped after them. Boom.
"Ow. Are you okay Madison?"
"Yeah. I wish I was in a hot tub right now," she replied.
"Well at least we landed on something soft," said Taiya.
Madison looked down. "Maybe soft but not safe."
"Huh?" said Taiya and looked down.
Whatever they were on had feet on the bottom.
"Look ahead!" exclaimed Madsion.
Infront of them appeared to be an elephant. Well almost an elephant. It had long pink hair, covering its body. On its feet were red claws. It had one black eye on top of another, on one side of it's face, and the same on the other side. Instead of having one tusk on each side, it had two. The worst thing was the long razor sharp teeth sticking out of its mouth. Suddenly the thing they were on moved and they slid off. They had landed on one and it was very angry. Behind it were more. It was a herd of man-eating elephants.
Boy, thought Taiya, We had to jump.
The elephant came closer and wrapped its trunk around Taiya.
"Taiya!" cried Madison.
Sheba jumped on the elephant and bit into the trunk. The elephant swung its trunk and slammed Sheba against the rock wall.
"Sheba!" cried Taiya.
Suddenly one of the elephants roared. The head elephant dropped Taiya. The giant birds were flying overhead. The herd was on the run. The birds swooped down and caught an elephant and carried it off. The head elephant grabbed a bird by its feet and swung it into a sharp, pointed rock. The ground was shaking and the winds, blowing hard.
"Sheba!" called Taiya.
The wolf opened her eyes but there was a black bruise on her shoulder.
"Taiya, over there!" pointed Madison, "There's a cave."
Straight ahead was a cave not blocked by any of the huge creatures.
"Okay, let's go!" she yelled.
She picked up Sheba and dragged her to the cave. Rocks went flying. She kept dodging the rocks. Then a bird landed infront of her. It put its hair up.
"You," said Taiya.
The bird started attacking her. First it pecked, then it used its talons.
"Taiya, watch out!"
Rocks were falling down but the bird grabbed her and threw her against the wall. It then picked her up, in its feet, and started to fly off.
"Help me!!!" called Taiya.
"Taiya!"
Then out of nowhere a blaze spread on the ground. The creatures were now scared of the fire and started breaking away from it. Then a fireball was thrown at the bird carrying Taiya. The ball hit the bird and it dropped her. Below her was now the new fire blazing. Suddenly she felt something catch her from underneath. She looked down. She was flying across the flames. She looked up. It was a young man. He had black spikey hair and red eyes. Taiya felt sleepy and closed her eyes.............
The little girl looked at the pillards. On the side of one was a woman. She had short black hair and purple eyes. She wore a pink kimoto.
"Princess, your mother awaits you," said the woman.
The little girl got up.
"Don't forget your friend."
THe little wolf cub woke up and ran over to the princess. The girl and pup followed the woman along a path. The path had many pillards on the sides. They came to a waterfall next to a giant castle. There were carvings of fire, water, earth, wind, etc. There were lots of white lilies surrounded by wildflowers. They walked into the castle.
There were a lot of people in richly dressed clothes on the sides of the long carpet. Infront was a throne. In the throne was a woman. She had long white hair weared down and blue eyes. In her hand was a staff that on the end had a star. She looked at the little girl.
"Come here my princess," she said.
Then fireballs filled the sky. The pillards were destroyed. People were screaming. The queen ran to the princess. SHe held her close. A pillard was falling on them.
"Taiya......wake...up!"
Hot and sweaty, Taiya awoke. She blinked twice and saw Madison.
"Madison!" she cried, hugging her best friend.
"We were worried about you," said a voice.
Behind Madison was the same young man who saved her before.
"You've been like this for a while," he said.
The young man's hair and eyes seemed familiar to Taiya. The young man looked at her the same way.
"Have we met? You look very familiar," he said.
"I feel same but I don't remember us meeting anywhere," replied Taiya.
They stared at each other. Meanwhile Madison was getting annoyed.
"So anyways," she said, trying to break up the silence, "We have to go now."
She stood up and walked out. Taiya tried to get up but her arm hurt bad.
"Ow!" she cried.
She looked at it. It was tied up in a bloody bandage.
"Oh let me change that for you," he said.
He walked over and sat on the bed beside her. "Let me see your arm," he said gently. As he was changing her bandages, she suddnely thought of Sheba.
"How's Sheba?" she asked.
"Sheba? You mean that Starigan wolf?" he asked.
"What's a Starigan wolf?" she asked.
"A wolf from Starigus. Though this wolf had been brouhgt up to protect something," he said.
"Yeah the star princess," replied Taiya.
He stopped and looked at her. "How do you know about the star princess?"
"Madison and I are element warriors, looking for her."
"So what elements are you?" he asked.
Taiya looked down. "I don't know if I can trust you or not...".
They were interupted by a knock on the door. The door opened. It wasn't Madison but an elderly man.
"Sorry sir but the king would like to see you and the two girls," he said and left.
The young man looked back at Taiya.
"I'll let you get dress and met you on the way."
He got up and started walking out when Taiya said "Wait! I still haven't caught your name."
"It's Endios," he said and walked out.
Endios, thought Taiya.
That name was so familiar but how. She got up and put on her uniform undershirt.
"I wonder if Madison liked him and that was why she was like that?" she wondered.
She finished and walked outside. There was a strange looking creature standing there. It was half man and half demon. He had short horns and black cat eyes. Next to him was a young girl. It was Madison. They were talking quietly.
"Hey Madsion!" called Taiya.
The two turned around. The demon creature turned back to Madison and said some more things, than left. Taiya walked up to her. Madison was holding a piece of paper.
"What's that?" asked Taiya.
Madison put it inher pocket. "Nothing, let's go," she replied.
Her voice had some bitterness in it. Taiya followed her.
"Wait!"
They turned around. It was Endios. At least it looked like him. He was wearing a black long-sleeve silk shirt and pants. Around his neck was a black chair necklace. In the center was a red crystal in the shape of a blazing flame. On his right, middle finger was a red crystal ring. What caught Taiya's attention was the flame mark on his forehead. Endios noticed.
"It's the mark of the element of fire," he said and it disappeared.
Taiya looked away and blushed. He looked at Madison. She smiled bakc.
"Follow me."
He started walking off and the girls followed. They entered a big room. There were people there but something was strange. They were pale and they all had green cat eyes. They stopped. In the center, infront of them, was a large coffin.
"What do you think is in there?" whispered Madison.
"I don't want to know," Taiya repiled.
"Let the feast begin!" said an eery voice.
The door behind them closed. All the people were now coming closer.
"What has gone wrong with you people!" yelled Endios.
"They have plegded their alligance with me."
The same demon creature that Taiya saw earlier walked out from behind the coffin.
"Now comes the death of the element warriors!"

Chapter.4 The Messenger of Death
"You. How dare you betray the royal family of Duostara!" said Endios.
"Don't worry, young prince. I will take care of the Duostara family, just like my master took care of your sister," the demon grinned.
"So you helped killed my sister!" yelled Endios.
The demon nodded. "I tried to save her, after all I needed a queen, but she refused and was fired from the job, literally."
"Who are you?" demanded Taiya with Madison hiding behind her.
"Watch your tongue wench! If you need to know so badly how about talking with me up close," and he snapped his fingers.
Two men stepped forward.
"Watch out they're vampires now," warned Endios.
"Vampires! How could they be vampires now?" questioned Madison.
"We're all vampires, including myself, but they have lost their control," replied Endios.
He stepped infront of them.
"I order you to stop. As your prince, you must follow my orders."
The men stopped. Suddenly all the people started hollering. They grew paler. Bat-like wings came out of their backs. Fangs and claws grew. Their eyes sunk deep into their sockets.
"They changed into their demon forms," gasped Endios.
"Yes," said the demon, "Even though they're not royal vampires like yourself, they were able to transform, from my power, into their true demon forms. Now get me that girl!"
Four more vampires came forward.
"I have no choice now," said Endios. "Fire! Come to my aid!"
A red light came from his ring. A red human like creature appeared. It had very short flaming hair and long flamming vampire wings. Upon it's legs was red armor.
"Attack!" ordered Endios.
The red creature charged at the vampires but nothing happened. It went by them as if it was soft air.
"Taiya, let's use our powers too," said Madison.
Taiya nodded.
"Win...".
Hands grabbed them.
"Taiya! Madison!" shouted Endios.
But he got caught too. A rage built up inside him. He swung the guys around but more came. Two women came forward and roped him.
"Now," said the demon, "Bring me the girl."
The vampires took Taiya over to him. She struggled as hard as she could but they were too strong.
"So my girl," he softly chuckled as he touched her cheek, "You want to know my name. It's Danon. Now, what is your name?"
She looked away. He grabbed her chin hard. "Tell me!"
"It's Taiya."
Danon gasped. He stepped away from her. "No, it can't be. There's no way. I'm just over working myself."
Then he looked past her at Madison.
"Bring her here," he ordered.
Madison was brought up to him.
"You, however, I do have interest in. So lovely maiden of earth, now is the time for you to introduce yourself. You, Princess Madila," he said.
"Madila?" said Taiya, looking at Madison.
Madison looked back at her.
"That's my real name," she said.
Taiya was shock. "Why have you never told me this?" she asked.
"Because I swore I never to tell anyone. When I was little, Danon came to me. He told me what I was. He than told me to never tell anyone the truth or they'd kill me," she replied.
"But I'm your best friend," said Taiya.
"I was going to tell you and let you come with me but now I don't care. Danon was right, you're not my friend, not anymore," declared Madison.
"But why?" cried Taiya.
"Because everyone around us likes you. You always have someone to lean on when somethings to hard. But not me. I had to work my butt off to be a good student and still I was left in the shadows. Even my grandparents complement on you. Every guy I liked, you would always take from me, just like Andrew. And now," she looked at Endios then back at her, she whispered, "You got Endios hanging over you."
Suddely the ground shook. The ground split apart and lava poured out. The vampires ran to the doors but they wouldn't open. Then a giant worm like creature, formed from the lava.
"It's a larvaon!" screamed someone.
Some of the vampires tried to fly away but rocks came tumbling onto them. The larvaon formed some tentacools and grabbed some of the vampires. More larvaons were forming. Endios ran up to Taiya.
"Here," he passed her a sharp rock.
He turned around. She nodded and did the same. She began cutting his ropes but it was hard with her ropes being so tight. Danon untied Madison and picked her up. He opened his mouth and a beam shot out. It blasted the wall. More rocks came down. Then a larvaon came up to him. Madison fainted in his arms. He got on top of the larvaon.
Then he yelled, "I hope this isn't to hot for you to handle!"
He laughed and the larvaon went into a tunnel, and was out of sight.
Hurry! yelled Endios.
Im trying, said Taiya.
He was free. Suddenly a chain was thrown around him. It was coming from one of the larvaon. The other larvaons were now spitting out fire beams at the vampires. They were having a feast on the vampires. Suddenly the wall blasted. There stood an angry animal.
Sheba!{exclaimed Taiya.
The wolf ran over to her.
Sheba, you have wings?! said Taiya.
The wolf had a pair of large wings on her shoulders. The wolf grabbed her by the ropes, trying to break them. The ground began to shake again. Actually the castle was tilting. The mountain was falling over the cliff. Taiya rolled over to the opening, where Sheba came in.
Help me!! she cried as she fell out.
Taiya!! yelled Endios.
His strength was building up. He struggled with all his might. Crank! The chains broke. He ran over to the opening and dove out.
Endios, help!! screamed Taiya, below him.
Below them was a raging river. It would have been good to land in if Taiya wasnt still tied. Endios had giant bat-like wings come out of his back. He dove faster. Sheba ran out after them. Endios was so close. He reached out and grabbed her. He then quickly cut her loose with a small knife. He held her close to hom. A giant boulder was right above them. He flew out of the way but the boulder scratched one of his wings.
Oww! he cried in pain.
Then suddenly they were falling down. Taiya screamed. Splash. The river was so fast and hard that they splited up the moment they hit the water.
Taiya!
Taiya tried to respond but she kept going under. The currents were pulling her. Endios swam hard to the shore and pulled himself onto it. Very exhausted, he ran after her. Now the currents were so strong, she couldnt go up. The water was filing her lungs. Then something grabbed her and pulled her out of the water. It carried her over and put her on the shore. It was Sheba. Endios ran to her.
Taiya, open your eyes. Speak to me!
No reply. He bent down and did mouth to mouth. After a minute, Taiya started coughing up water. She began breathing, slowly. She opened her eyes. She saw Endios looking at her relieved.
Endios.
He picked her up and carried her into the forest. She closed her eyes and drifted off.
The little girl walked up to the queen.
Mommy, said the little girl and she ran up to hug her.
The queen smiled and hugged her back.
Now my little one, sit on the throne and be quiet, said the queen.
The little girl sat on the throne next to her.
Bring forth Kento, the queen ordered.
A man in blue armor walked over to the doors, and opened them. Out stepped four men and a boy. The man in red clothing stepped out and bowed.
Your queen, Im glad to see you, he said.
And I you, replied the queen.
What has the wife of my best friend ask of thee? the man asked.
She smiled. Now that my husband has been gone, there is now no ruler for Duostara. He has left a me a will.
She pulled out a piece of paper. In the letter, he has written that if anything were to happen to him the next ruler of course will take his place. But the problem is the princess is not old enough to rule even Starigan. So I have decided to make you and your family the rightful rulers of Duostara.
Oh Queen Tira, I dont think I could take such an offer. Maybe you can just give me your blessings, replied Kento.
There is no other person I would rather want to see rule Duostara more than you. Please I beg of you.
The queen got up and walked to Kento. She kneeled down. Everyone gasped.
I beg you, she pleaded.
My queen, please, get up, said Kento.
I wont until you agree with me, she declared.
Kento sighed. Alright your queen, Ill do it.
The queen got up and hugged him.
Thank you, she said.
I will on one condition, said Kento, Your husband wanted me to take of his daughter if something were to ever happen to him, like getting her married at 16. And I think theres no one better for the job then my son.
Kento turned around and pulled the boy up to the front. He had black spiky hair and red eyes.
The reason I picked him is not only does he have the brilliance and goods looks of his father but also look.
He part the boys bangs. Upon his forehead was a golden blazing sun mark.
I think he was destined to rule.
The queen nodded.
I agree. He was born with this mark as was my daughter. Princess come her, said the queen.
The little girl ran over to her mother. Upon her forehead was a white star.
Ill be a monkeys uncle, chuckled Kento.
Suddenly the people around screamed. They were burning up in flames.
Princess, come with me! said the queen.
She took her hand and pulled her away. Kento and the boy followed. Suddenly a pillar came crashing down.
Queen Tira! Princess! yelled Kento.
Taiya opened her eyes. She looked up. It seemed that she was in a cave. There was pain coming from all over her body. She felt pressure on her ankle.
Oww! she cried.
Im sorry.
She sat up. Endios was bandaging her ankle.
Its not broken or sprained but its bruised bad, he said.
Taiya then noticed that she was naked and her hair laying straight down.
Why am I like this? Where are my clothes? she asked.
Theyre drying by the fire. When I pulled you out of the river you were unconscious. When you regain conscious I picked you up and carried you but you fell asleep. Your body was still shaking and had so many cuts and bruises, that I had to remove your clothes, he explained.
Taiya pulled the blanket closer to her body.
Wheres Sheba? she asked.
Right there beside you, answered Endios.
Taiya looked and sure enough the wolf was lying next to her.
I cant believe I saw her fly, said she.
Endios finished bandaging her ankle. Shes a starigan wolf. Since she belongs to the royal family of Staragus, she has special powers to protect the princess. Just like we do, said Endios.
Taiya then noticed the soft glow from the fire.
You better move closer so you can get warm. Youre still cold, he said.
She wrapped the blanket around her body and walked over to the fire and sat down. Endios removed his shirt and laid it next to the fire. He got some more bandages out and tried to bandage his arm. Taiya asaw him struggle so she got up and walked over to him. He looked up.
Here, she said, Let me help.
Okay, replied Endios.
She got on her knees and started wrapping the bandages around his arm.
By the way, said Endios, You were rolling around in your sleep. It was like you were running from something.
She stopped.
Whats wrong? he asked.
Taiya clenched the blanket. Ever since I turned 15, Ive been having this strange dream every night. Theres a little girl, who almost lookes like me and she has a white star on her forehead. She is a princess and her mother is Queen Tira.
Endios looked at her in shock.
Are you the star princess? he asked.
I dont have that mark on me anywhere, my mothers name isnt Tira, and Im not a princess, she answered.
Well that does sound like the actual star princess, said Endios.
How do you know? asked Taiya.
Well ever since I was 7 yrs old, my father would tell me of Staragus. That I was one of the elements born to protect the princess. Not only that but I as the prince of Duostara, I am to marry her, he said.
Taiya looked shocked.
But this isnt Duostara, is it? asked Taiya, looking out of the cave at some little bits of greens.
No, this is one of its moons, he answered. Taiya finished bandaging him up.
There, she said.
Thanks, he replied.
They looked at each other. Then noticing that. They quickly turned away.
So, said Taiya, Is that the only reason for you to find the princess.
No, I also heard that she will lead me to my real, great power, he said.
Real power? she asked.
Yes. This crystal sun that is in the shape of a sun is my true crystal. When I find the princess, it will be revealed.
Then they sat in silence.
We better get to sleep, said Endios, Good night, and he walked over to his bed on the floor and laid down.
Taiya went to hers. She didnt sleep but was thinking to herself. I wonder what if the dreams are a sign of something to come, she thought. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.
