Their ties may come from birth, upbringing, emotional bond, or even contract and pact. For the most part, Worldspeakers may act as guardians, for that reason, protecting said life for whichever of those reasons are particular for them.
However, some worldspeakers may be chaotically aligned, mad, or just plain evil, and may be inclined to harm that same life for similar reasons. Sentient, alive, and possessing free will, the possibilities abound.

Due to their intimate ties with the energies of worlds, (and Worldspeakers may not be tied to simply one world) many may have quite an arsenal of energy and ability at their disposal. That said, many fall into the range of archmages, demigods and other epic and legendary rankings.

Don't let this fool you, however, into thinking that they're invincible, unbeatable, as it's far from the truth. Against cosmic forces, they can seem fairly underpowered at times. These are not aetheric or elemental creatures. They possess, all of them, bodies of the coarse substance of the prime material plane. Some of these bodies may be weaker and shorter lived than others. Others riddled with weaknesses to elements and situations that a mortal might not think twice over.

All are unique, however. Many are revered as deities in places, and sometimes in multiple places. This can add to their supply of power, their prestige, and their wealth, but can severely cut into their freedom of movement and time.

Others might be free and flighty, traveling afar, which can be similar to being homeless, but can add to their range of abilities, what treasures they may have encountered, and their experience with less favorable forces.


Anyway, this is all kind of loose. I have no real rules, just a general idea. Basically, I think everyone has that Omni-mage that floats about in their minds, or that strange little cheesecake loving kami (or both), and i've love to get to read about them. Maybe interact with them.
