I hope you're all as excited for the new disney movie as we are! As far as I've heard, it's coming out this holiday season. So, let's ask probably the most important question When are you gonna see it?
Feel free to discuss anything about the movie.

i actually like the voodoo aspect of it and the fact that the "prince" isn't particualrly noble or prince charming-ish.

I'm excited for it! I like the idea of a rather Cajun-felt movie. (:

The movie was so amazing! I'm glad that Disney is retreating back to its old ways.

Oh my goodness I love the Princess And The Frog! Not only is it the cutest love story ever, a musical, a JAZZ ERA MUSICAL, and in Louisiana but out of all of the disney princess movies it is the most ACCURATE! Oh my goodness... It satisfies my romance and my nerdy accurasy for a movie!

I actually really didn't like The Princess and the Frog. I felt the moral of the story wasn't defined very well and really just came off as "you can't achieve your dreams without man to pay the way" because in the end that's what happened. Tiana didn't buy her own restaurant, she got one because she married a prince. confused

Disney did a great job with the movie; the animation and the music of the movie was awesome. Tiana adds even more to the Disney princesses giving them even more diversity. I loved it . biggrin

Tiana was going to buy the restaurant by herself, but those 2 stupid white guys with the same name wouldn't let her. The moral was more along the lines of "all work and no play make for a dull person" and "you can work all your life and get your dream, but it doesn't mean anything if you have no one to share it with." Which I guess you could say she would celebrate it with her mother, but... Her parents had love. That was more important than acheiving a dream. Could have been the love of her family- just that Naveen happened to fall in love with her also. And everything worked out all right in the end for him too.
But she still would have got her restaurant, either way. She's that motivated. She wouldn't let a silly little thing like realtors stand in the way of her lifelong dream.
