If Pokemon is supposed to be for all ages, like up to like 7+, then why do they have Breeding? That's like introducing your 8 year old to the Birds & the Bees, right?
I mean think about it for a moment..
Kids are ,supposedly, to be introduced to the Birds & the Bees when they start dating in Middle School or later on, right?

I used to wonder that as well. I'm not too sure what to think.

When I was 7 and found out about breeding, I didn't care how it happened, I was just psyched to have a pichu. x_x;

Well I started playing when they introduced it, and I was about 5. I didn't notice really, I just was like..."They made an agreement that they wanted a baby and so prayed to the stork to bring them an egg" (Yeah I made it unnesecarrily complicated. And weird)

yeah but it makes it awkward to think that the games are like that...
But why do they think (in-game) that the eggs mysteriously appear out of nowhere? Do they think the Easter Bunny came early this year? Or what?

I already more or less knew about it. Second grade ghetto kids are strange.
(is the only semi-pure kid in my school ._. )

I thought just about the same thing when GSC came out. Although I guess their approach is the "We don't have any clue where this egg came from, even though you have a male and a female (or transgendered Ditto) in the Daycare.... But here! Have an egg! =D" is their way to skirting around the topic, making it still suitable for younger kids. That way you can attribute it to Delibird or something.
I suppose the players are more interested in the final product, rather than knowing how their egg came to be.
